The PCS only seems to work on dedicated psi operatives, not mod-added ones like psions from psi overhaul. The items work fine, but a WOTC update would be nice

for some reason i cant equip the pcs chips to any of my soldiers. it just stays red and does nothing but sit in my inventory. i cant figure out why the chips don't work yet the amp booster and neurowhip work perfectly fine. any tips would be appreciated.

Neuro Whip is almost certainly Neural Feedback from Enemy Within. Probably too hard to implement that ability though. But man, was it awesome.

It does work with the Alien Hunters DLC. I've had the Amp Booster made and even seen the Psi PCS for sale on the black market.

Powered armor, some continent bonuses, engineers and scientists could level up, etc.

Probably much more, but I mostly did these to learn the ropes of modding, and I'm moving on now.

Little did the modding community know, Firaxis had meant for the cut content to be day 1 dlc :P

jj, so, how much more content was cut? i saw your other ammo mod, so im guessing there can't be much more than this.

Oh, that's not what I was asking. I'd like to just add the Amp Booster & Neuro Whip items from this mod; I don't know how to merge the two mods, the psi PCS has different values & drop rates and there'd probably end up being two different versions of them.

Unrelated to that: there are a bunch of class mods that use Psi talents that don't require the Psi Lab, but they can't equip the Psi PCS b/c it's hardcoded that the Psi power stat only shows up on the Psi Operative class (it still works for psi abilities in-game & shows up in the hit chance display), so having access to the Amp Booster early on based on Sectoid research would be a HUGE help. I'd recommend leaving it that way.

Seems a bit odd to me that the Amp Booster unlocks with the Sectoid autopsy, given that none of your soldiers can make use of it at that point in the game. I would have thought it better to unlock it with Psionics?

Busy working on something else, so no plans to add a hacking pcs atm.

You can actually just "merge" the loot tables via ini edits actually.

Damn, there's another mod that has the Psi PCS as well as a new hacking PCS, but both of these rewrite the loot tables and likely conflict. Any chance of a separate mini-mod w/ just the other psi boosting items?

my bad, turns out I put the ampbooster and neurowhip in the wrong itemcategory. Didn't realize itemcategory affected visibility in the builditem screen.

haha yeah, but this + the ammo is more or less all the art assets I will be doing for now. There's not much left. Like one piece of power armor? And some utility items. Gonna work on a big honkin loot mod now :)

Right, but there are a lot of drop table. Mine specifically alters the ratios of each type of pcs. It would not affect the drop tables of say, sectoids specifically. So there still might not be conflict. I just can't check on my phone.
