@Algae The blocks that rotate the wheels have to be braced together from side to side anyway to keep the machine from sagging, so I figured that since I couldn't use skid steering, I might as well get some powered rotation out of it.
In fact, that steering problem is what got me to experiment with internal steam cannons, which is how I got the idea to add flight!
Great use of scaling. You truly are the master of .bsg editing, not only in the first days, but when there's updates as well.
I have to ask though: why use the steering blocks on the wheels? It goes forward without them, although the moving does decrease the friction, which is needed to turn properly, still, turning on the spot cna be difficult. Wouldn't swivel joints work better? I assume you have tested this.
The moon flight was nice, I've flown to the moon and back now too :)
