You can make them hostile in the context menu. That does not work sometimes sadly. Download NPC Tools. It has an NPC Relationship tool. You can make them hostile there.

Actually I did not make the pictures, but my guess there is a muzzle flash addon somewhere on the workshop unless it was provided with the weapon. Perhaps an emitter as well.
