Can an update be made??? Because some new roads do not support textures! I hope to make up for this deficiency! And some road textures may also have errors!
BremerJung 11 Jul, 2024 @ 1:08pm
The mod works incorrectly. The texture pack is displayed, but I always have to reselect it before city loading. It also hinders the terminal textures of the airport DLC. White structures appear at night. Only unsubscribing helps. Are there any good alternatives now?
ASOM30 12 Aug, 2023 @ 7:26am
Is it broken still.
Chris6d 5 Apr, 2023 @ 2:20pm
Not sure what the difference is between this mod and the old Roads United Mod, as they both still work fine for me. Oh well
terrellrjc4l 19 Mar, 2023 @ 10:25am
This mod along with all of the other Roads United skins for it work perfectly fine and have always worked for my game. I have all of the dlc expansions and I have never had issues with this one or the Core+ version.
notreal 12 Mar, 2023 @ 10:59am
@killface cream.api .)

but yeah, paradox ruins any game. they wanna be take2/ea/ubi.
hate that CO seems to be fine with it, they shouldve split off for the new game.
DagiBee 8 Feb, 2023 @ 4:22pm
@Killface wich dlcs are you missing? let me know
gmorris_89 30 Dec, 2022 @ 9:00pm
@Killface I totally get it dude. Yea the developers are money grubby, but compared to others its minor. We really need a modern city game so bad.
Fx 3 Nov, 2022 @ 9:02am
Very unfortunate to hear... What is the last game version compatible with this mod?
Svis 26 Jul, 2022 @ 5:57am
I hope this game goes bankrupt
Killface  [author] 12 May, 2022 @ 11:06am
@PoMMeS: I't should be optional (mod options).
PoMMeS 10 May, 2022 @ 9:48am
Sadly a bit buggy. My main problem is that the mod removes the lane arrows.
Killface  [author] 4 May, 2022 @ 10:00am
If you're planning a paid DLC with let's say airports, it would hurt your sales if someone else did something very similar and provides it for free.

That's why e.g. Adobe doesn't touch things which are already taken care of by plugin developers. Many of those were Adobe employees themselves. They do respect the people which make their software kind of whole.

I do like modding and I did like CS, but with the DLC bloat I don't care any more. It's not a city builder, it's just a franchise with a store front. To support all DLCs, I'd have to buy them. No gifts or donations yet.
I started working on this mod 2016, and there's not much real content to keep me playing, just the same mechanics over and over again packed in 5-15 $ DLCs.
majin_kratos 1 May, 2022 @ 12:36pm
And why are they ruining their sales? With mods people still buy the game and the dlc, indeed it is without mods that people would buy the game and the dlc less. It is a shame your choice even if it is understandable, because it is you modders who make the game beautiful
Killface  [author] 1 May, 2022 @ 8:09am
It's a corporate making money from stuff they can sell. Mods are welcome as long as they don'thurt their sales.
majin_kratos 1 May, 2022 @ 3:59am
Wtf? They are totally crazy! That's what makes the game beautiful. Without that they would play much less and they would lose too
Killface  [author] 1 May, 2022 @ 3:02am
https://steamhost.cn/bundle/2202/Cities_Skylines_Collection/ Catch them all!
https://happygamer.com/paradox-interactive-brings-a-launcher-to-cities-skylines-fans-are-annoyed-59260/
"Many users have taken to social media, along with the Steam page for Cities: Skylines itself to voice their displeasure over yet another launcher being added by Paradox, complete with new User Agreements that everyone will need to accept in order to continue playing the title that is now five years old."
"In Section 3, Article IV, the new End-User License Agreement seems to outlaw modding the game;"
majin_kratos 1 May, 2022 @ 2:22am
Are you referring to paradox updates that cause mod bugs? In that case agree
Killface  [author] 30 Apr, 2022 @ 9:29pm
When they introduced theier new buggy launcher, they censored people asking to make it at least optional. In the mean time, this kind of additional store front took up to 3-5 minutes just for starting up. Their DLC policy is even worse than EA and the Sims.
No interest in supporting a company which censors customers voices and warms up boring DLC crap just for the sake of making money.
majin_kratos 30 Apr, 2022 @ 2:26pm
What do you mean, "started treating their customers like shit"?
Killface  [author] 10 Feb, 2022 @ 2:06pm
@Snacko: Because I stopped modding CS when Paradox Interactive started treating their customers like sh*t.
The Plus mod only uses an alternative, overly bloated naming scheme for no reason. No idea what's else was changed and what issues may rise.
Gikkio 10 Feb, 2022 @ 1:09pm
no work for me
Snacko 18 Nov, 2021 @ 10:45am
I've had this installed along with "Roads United: US Edition - Reworked", and "Roads United: North America PLUS". I just saw that the AutoRepair mod's log says these are incompatible with this. Why doesn't it say that here?
Gordin 8 Sep, 2021 @ 2:05am
Works great for me (with TM:PE and Intersection Marking Tool).

Just a minor issue: Everytime after i load a game, i have to toggle the options to disable arrows which point in all directions (left-right or left-straight-right) off and on again in order for them to take effect.
Bedna 16 Jun, 2021 @ 3:52am
I used this mod but did not find a texture pack that fitted me so I uninstalled it again (only a matter a taste, nothing wrong with the mod) but AFTER that, my road textures look like something made in ps2 (not really but they look REALLY bad and the save is broke, cant go back to what the roads looked like before). So make sure to have a backup save in case it breaks the save for you as well like it did for me. Luckily I had a different save earlier on that map that I could use instead otherwise I would have to restart from scratch.
If the mod dev want's to do bugtesting with me, feel free to contact me and I'll gladly help.
notreal 2 May, 2021 @ 2:00pm
does this work or should I use 3.0 beta? and if the latter, is it close to stable release on steam?
Crispy1961 !!ARTxolo†l 11 Dec, 2020 @ 11:33am
@Killface: Is there an ETA on the new release with the fixed road arrow hiding functionality? On your github page I still only see the Sep 30 release. Thank you in advance.
LastZolex 7 Nov, 2020 @ 2:17pm
@Crispy1961: Killface linked to it several comments ago. Look here:
https://github.com/Killface1980/RoadsUnited_Core/releases/tag/pre-3.0
Crispy1961 !!ARTxolo†l 2 Nov, 2020 @ 5:16am
@Killface: Awesome. Will it be released here, or where should I look for it?
Cylun 1 Nov, 2020 @ 7:50am
@Killface I used 3.0 with the provided Germany pack, without any 2.0 mods subscribed but got the DirectoryNotFoundException referring to the textures of 2.0. I'm not sure, maybe it's just because I did not manually update the selection box to Germany 3.0, and there were some outdated 2.0 settings? Regardless, when I subscribed 2.0, the DirectoryNotFoundException was gone. What I'm still getting is the NullReferenceException. But I have many mods subscribed. It could be any of them. Maybe it's the Intersection Marking Tool or Node Controller? The Mod Compatibility Checker doesn't report anything though. I will have to try.
Killface  [author] 1 Nov, 2020 @ 7:38am
@Cylun: 3.0 should be compatible to all existing texture packs. Are you using both versions at the same time? I'll try to replicate.
@Crispy1961 !!ARTxolotl: Road arrows should be consistent with the next version, fixed.
Cylun 31 Oct, 2020 @ 6:27am
The Mod C:\Users\Matthias\AppData\Local\Colossal Order\Cities_Skylines\Addons\Mods\RoadsUnitedCore [RoadsUnitedCore3.dll] has caused an error [ModException]

Details:
System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object
at RoadsUnitedCore3.RUCore.SetNodeDirect (RoadsUnitedCore3.Statics.NodeSet,string

Could this be an incompatibility?
Cylun 31 Oct, 2020 @ 4:43am
Roads United 3.0 Germany 3.0 is expecting the workshop content of Germany 2.0.
DirectoryNotFoundException: Directory 'W:\Games\steamapps\workshop\content\255710\598151121\BaseTextures' not found.
Crispy1961 !!ARTxolo†l 29 Oct, 2020 @ 3:45pm
@Killface: I was at 2.0, but I unsubscribed and got the 3.0 working. The behavior is the same. I load the game and the arrows are there. When I go to the options, the remove arrow checkboxes are checked: https://i.imgur.com/YYs2YG7.png

When I uncheck and recheck them, they disappear until I close the game and launch again, when we are back at the start, with arrows visible, yet checkboxes checked.

As a side note, the new 3.0 is great, I can change the road color in real time.
Killface  [author] 29 Oct, 2020 @ 12:54pm
@Crispy1961 !!ARTxolotl: Which version do you use? 2.0 or 3.0 I posted a few comments below?
Crispy1961 !!ARTxolo†l 28 Oct, 2020 @ 8:08am
Hi, I love this mod. I love the function to hide the one lane arrows. However I have to disable and then enable the setting every time I start the game. Anybody know what I am doing wrong?
Phillizae 25 Oct, 2020 @ 1:28am
my roads textures have a low render distance whenever I turn on custom textures. Idk why
LemonsterOG 20 Oct, 2020 @ 8:59am
@Killface -- Hey there. Version 3.0 causes a Network Tiling issue. It errors immediately upon load completion. I've switched back to 2.0. If you think the log file would be helpful, let me know. I can switch the mods back, let it cause the error, the get you the report.
LemonsterOG 30 Sep, 2020 @ 12:57pm
@Killface -- Thanks so much. I hadn't seen .7z as a zip file before (that I'e noticed). If that's the case, I'm good to go. Thanks again. :smileyflag:
Killface  [author] 30 Sep, 2020 @ 12:47pm
@LemonsterOG: The folders have been compressed with 7Zip. You can get it here for Windows https://www.7-zip.org/ or use Keka on Mac.
LemonsterOG 30 Sep, 2020 @ 12:31pm
@Killface -- Thanks so much for the link. When we download RoadsUnitedCore.7z are we to keep the .7z extension? I don't recall ever seeing that extension for a Cities Skylines file. Thanks.
Killface  [author] 30 Sep, 2020 @ 11:40am
Hi there, it's been a while but here is the current 3.0 version for all those interested.
https://github.com/Killface1980/RoadsUnited_Core/releases/tag/pre-3.0
LemonsterOG 15 Jul, 2020 @ 12:41pm
@Killface -- You need to update the description, as the Roads United: North America is not longer compatible with Cities Skylines.
ThePrince757Va 2 May, 2020 @ 3:21pm
Anybody know a name of mods that would make some of NexT highway skins not appear? I can get the standard 3 lanes and ramps to be reskinned, but not the rest.
Playerguy11 12 Apr, 2020 @ 9:29am
this is now causing my road colors to be messed up, had to deactivate it. Intersections change color on load and default color of all roads is pitch black regardless of setting
jvn2! 7 Apr, 2020 @ 6:50am
Upload 3.0 Please
RobBobBobert 30 Mar, 2020 @ 3:25pm
If this mod ever gets updated, can full support for NExt 2 be added?
leftbehind 28 Mar, 2020 @ 7:56pm
even if you can't upload to workshop, put the source for 3.0 on github so others can continue.
nhatanh0475 26 Mar, 2020 @ 9:38am
If this mod can update their Thumbnail, meaning they can update the mod for better.
nhatanh0475 26 Mar, 2020 @ 9:38am
@Brandon Don't you think they is the one who need to update?
