You can try, but chances are it will bug out, go invisible, or just crash your Ship designer if you use them without the correct DLC.

No problem Bei3ob, just glad people like them.

When you put them in a mod do they have to be in the same ship style they were built in? (I've not made a mod for Gal Civ before). Ok, so I checked the factions I used when building them: the Chaos ones were made in a faction that has Pirate ships as it's default; the Imperial ones were built in a faction that has Terrans as the default, and the Space Marine and Inquisitor and Adeptus were in faction that has Derengi as default. If you do get a 40K mod working with these ships and end up sharing it, then please let me know so I can take a look. Oh, and a credit for who made the ships would be nice ;-)

Thank you for your answer, I will consider asking the DEV team or GOG or Steam.
I think it's probably more an issue on the Steam part to make you bought your game on Steam.
It will be very easy for them to put automatically a manual download link when you sen a mod ti the workshop.

You make me jealous.

Um, well it is not a mod, just a ship (but it does use DLC ship components --->) I'm sorry, but I am not familiar with GOG. If for some reason you cannot access the workshop for Galactic Civilizations then I suggest you ask them (the team who made Gal Civ) how to do so through GOG.

Hello, seems like a nice design full of details, but do you know how I could get your mod please ? I play on GOG, not on Steam.

I know that a lot of people have had trouble with game crashes in the designer, particularly for big ships with lots of parts and/or custom parts, especially since one of the last patches came out. I'm not sure this applies to you as you said it is not rendering, rather than crashing, but the easiest way to over come this is to increase your computer's Virtual Memory (you can google how to do so with your operating system if you are not sure).

Hopefully one of those helps. If not, then please send a complaint to Gal Civ feedback and let them know of the problem (add it to their very long list lol).

If anyone else has had this problem with this ship then please let me know, especially if you found a solution to it...

When does it bug out for you? Is it in the designer or when built? I found some similar problems with some of other people's I downloaded. But, after you've tried to use it once your computer should have made a 'user' copy of it. I found that for those ships of other people's that I had problems with if I make sure I go to the user tab for ships and use that version then they generally work fine.

DLC - Do you have the free Ship Designer's Toolbox DLC that you access from in the game start menu? I don't think I used any parts from it, but there is a possibility that one of them is built into one of my custom parts (and thus I cannot see it anymore as it is grouped). Anyway it's free and it's just a few parts so get it if you haven't.

Doh, that sucks, sorry to hear that. Hopefully something here will help:

Ok, well it sounds like one of the custom parts is bugging out for some reason - I've found that generally if you attach something to a custom part (especially if you change it's size etc.) it can cause the whole lot to bug out. When building I save regularly and if I find one has (on the saved version) I remove it and start that section again to avoid that. If you've added anything to a custom part (e.g. thrusters/weapons/sensors [esp. sensors for some reason] etc) you may need to remove them and place them somewhere else (you can just make them tiny so they don't show up if you need to put them somewhere less appropriate).

Similarly, if it is one of my parts that is bugging out then if you can figure out which one it is and remove it then it should fix the problem, but they are all working fine on my version.
