I've done just that with advanced cannons mounted behind the missile launchers, though that was before the CRAM update that added bomb chutes.

Hm. You could try to put crams on it instead of missles, if you do it right, it could do a lot more damage than missles. Point the gun to the ground. The shells fly slowly, so you could think they are bombs^^

But it would still be better if it were somewhat more... realistic, right? Like actually able to fly higher than 140 meters.

I've wanted to make a more "realistic" version just for that purpose, you know. I'll have to look further into the WW2 campaign (outside of specifications for Japanese naval vessels) to fit this in.
