Nah, it mostly works. Has some quirks, but in most of my games it leads to sassanid collapse.

@Massive Anorak
Thanks glad you enjoyed it

Sorry been of for a while most of the mods I have released are out of date, and could be bugged.
If it is completely broken I will unlist it. (just say the word)
Mascarada 3 Feb, 2022 @ 10:56am
Question! Is this up to date or bugged? I used it and only Armenia hated them (an important vassal, but still it does not fit the description of ''many of vassals aren't happy over the current state'')
Massive Anorak 23 Mar, 2019 @ 5:33am
This mod is very effective, although I advise others not to do what I did on my Axum campaign and use it in conjunction with the Weaker Sassanids Mod and Stronger White Huns. I thought I would prevent endless doom stacks but I just hamstrung the sassanids to the point I had no challenge. Excellent mod however and kept the ERE going very well.

@CroatAxeMan yes it does, this can be a double edge sword some times, but it makes it easier for whitehuns and other factions in the early games potentialy.

Thanks for your comment.
Best wishess

Does this mod make the vassals more likely to rebel against the AI controlled Sassanids or only when the player is controlling the Sassanids?
Niklas  [author] 5 Nov, 2017 @ 9:46am
@Gluteus Maximus Bascly by Making Sassanids having a harder time keeping there Vassals in check. making the Hunds more likly to survive in the chaos that can erupt within the sassanids.
Hope that clearifies (was I while I made this mod don't remember the exakt mechaniks)
Best wishess and thanks for showing interest

How did you Increase White Hun Survival ?
Niklas  [author] 15 Jan, 2017 @ 11:40am
@Rua sorry, doubt I can fix it remotly. But I found something that maybe the issue and solution:
(this is for rome 2 but the same should apply)

"Known Issue [as of 16/01/2014]:
If the user launches the Assembly Kit through the Tools section of Steam it will generate a file called steam_appid.txt in; C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Total War Rome II\assembly_kit\binaries
If the user then attempts to process a campaign start_pos through BOB it will NOT generate the start_pos.esf file because Rome2 will crash before it is able to start the process.
There is a work around – if the user manually deletes the file steam_appid.txt from the above directory it will work correctly, however if they launch via the Tools menu in Steam the file will be re-generated. This will not harm or affect the users game in any way."

@Rua wasn't an accusation, just wanted to check (total war sometime don't got way right away from the process, of some wierd reason)

hope you find a solution :/
Niklas  [author] 15 Jan, 2017 @ 5:52am
@Rua before you started attila did you close the proces in activity-manager (ctr+alt+esc)?
Niklas  [author] 14 Jan, 2017 @ 6:58am
@Rua good always to help a fellow modder :)
Niklas  [author] 14 Jan, 2017 @ 6:24am
okej, so if this happens when you are creating the save, assembly failed to launch attila.
(happens to me alot) I bypassed this by doing the following:
1. start assembly kit and do the changes you want to do.
2. when pressing to create it there will be a progress bar and it will try to launch attila to basicly test if the changes work.
3. just before this happen try to launch attila yourself (when the progress bar is open)
4. if you get attila already running, try quickly close the "total war attila.exe" in activity manager (ctrl+alt+esc), luanch attila.
5. if assembly kit didn't notice your swap. it will create the startpos file as soon you close attila manuly.

hope you understand my explenation... it is pain in the ass :/

best of luck xD
Niklas  [author] 14 Jan, 2017 @ 6:07am
@Rua are you trying to create your own startpos?

happy to help some

yes but often vassals of the sassanid empire did rebel against central authority depending on if the ruling Shah was strong or weak...your mod should also address the faction leaders stance, traits and decisions etc. as factors in rather or not vassals rebel. At other times the sassanids enjoyed better unity than the romans (at times) and the sassanid king would scapegoat and invade the eastern roman empire (for money not territory) to enrich his followers, enhance his prestige and distract the persian populace from the real problems (politics man...) your mod should address these things to determine whether or not to rebel. Also success against rome equals higher public ored and loses against rome should affect public order like in real life.

@Styrmir2003 don't need to have made mod before, to have good ideas:)
But I will ponder on it and try to address it, I do want some historical accuricy, but not my main focus:)
Styrmir 6 Mar, 2016 @ 5:43am
@Niklas i dont really know i have never made a mod before
Niklas  [author] 5 Mar, 2016 @ 1:53pm
@Styrmir didn't realise that, not very femiliral with Sassanid history, hmm I would like to address that for imersion sake, If you have any ideas about how to make it more historical likly I am all ears:)

Thanks for the feedback always good
Niklas  [author] 5 Mar, 2016 @ 1:49pm
@nsheon yea, I will have to look into that. if you comes to any conclusion yourself, don't hassitate to drop a comment:)
Styrmir 5 Mar, 2016 @ 1:34pm
you realise that the vassal kings were actually family members of the sassanid family tree
nsheon 4 Mar, 2016 @ 11:46am
Will do - the main issue is that the faction traits aren't appearing. Aside from making that hard to guage things diplomatically, I'm wondering if it's messing with their behavior as well
Niklas  [author] 4 Mar, 2016 @ 4:54am
@nsheon let me know, if it happens often, I do mostly play co-op and some of the balance change when there are two player the AI has to engage with:)

Thanks again for comment
nsheon 3 Mar, 2016 @ 3:25pm
Course! This is my first time trying the mod, so I may have just gotten unlucky. But, yes, Nobatia and Lazica both rebelled simultaneously about five turns in
Niklas  [author] 3 Mar, 2016 @ 2:42pm
@nsheon Thanks for reporting the bug will look into it.

It is intentional to increase all vassals revolt chance overall, havn't seen Nobatia rebel yet against ERE personally, but I do want that to be a possibility not just to often, does it happan often for you?

I would like to aim in like 1 out of 10 or something like that for ere.

Thanks for the comment feedback is greatly appreciated:)

nsheon 3 Mar, 2016 @ 2:33pm
Love the concept behind this, but I thought I'd make you aware of a bug I encountered. While working initially, diplomatic traits (reliable, rebellious, admires Huns etc.) have disappeared from all factions

Also, was it intentional to make Nobatia and Lazica rebel against the ERE? That happened maybe 5 turns in and I've never seen that before

Like I said, really love the idea, I think it's a good way to balance the game. Hoping this can be resolved. Thanks for the great work!
