Does not work? Mission is broken after last ARMA update about 2 weeks ago (or one of the 'helper mods' required for this mission).

In regards to your statement, I agree - There is ALWAYS room for improvement in all things for all people. :)

The 'Quest 3'? I looked at such things, but I do not think they would work too well for ME.

#1 - I wear glasses which have a prism in them, so I have to wear the glasses. Some VR's you can not fit the unit on while wearing glasses.

#2 - And for ME, games such as ARMA or MSFS 2020, I use the keyboard very much. For example, I can drop full flaps in <=1 seconds using the keyboard (F8), or drag the mouse around the screen and find the controls for the flaps >3 seconds. So this has been a 'sticking point' for me for VR in general.

#3 - The tech on these keep changing too often for my liking. It is worse than a normal 'tech products life cycle' to ME. So, I pay $500 in Jan, only to have a unit come out in July, twice as better for less. :(

I don't take anyones side in this. I understand people can get frustrated and annoyed. But at the end of the day this shit does not matter. Now you tried helping. he could have handed it better and you could also have handeld it better. having this disagreement and arguing, react to everything, its pointless. We are all here because we love Arma 3.

It was all about what 'people of old' termed, a 'spoiled brat'. Today, there are other words for the same behaviors; Karen's, Kevin's, Chad's, and the still used word of 'A??hole'.

None of us are required to help anyone on Steam. So, as so many have done before, out of the goodness of my heart, I reached out to help this person.

And...well...you saw their response(s). Not something I would be proud of.


He presented no thanks, appreciation, gratitude, kindness, or even civility in multitude of ways he could have presented himself and/or his responses.


He thinks I am a fool though...his 'whining' about 'screaming' was only a deflection of his own doings, and I bet he did not even know about it! ;)

It was due that I 'caught him' in his error of it not working. He did not like that, so he pitched a 'temper tantrum' - plain and simple.

His reaction is extremely common and easily detected/defeated.

And he knew he was caught too. How do I know this? Quite simple:

#1 - No one offered anything different.
#2 - He never came back and said that he tried those things and they did not work.
#3 - And the biggest reason of all - He was the ONLY ONE with this issue. Kinda looks like it is on his end...

He did something 'goofy' and that was all there was to it. We ALL have done this before...BIG DEAL! ;) He was just not mature enough to admit to it, where most of us would have.


'Screaming' = .32% of ALL words written in my message that he complained about. He said nothing about the OTHER 98.68% of the other words... (1 vs. 310) ;)

Sad: Immaturity and irresponsibility - There was nothing 'good' about his behavior and it is an embarrassment. . .

@WallaWalla - I can tell you this - Before you 'scream' it does not work, use ONLY THE LISTED MODS!!!

I run ARMA with about 120 mods and 99% of them are 'normal' mods; CBA, CUP, RHS, VCOM, etc. and with those loaded, this mission will flat-out not run for me! All other missions will for the most part.

SO....there is a CHANCE that you're using some mod(s) that is NOT listed in the REQUIRED list.


Just try using the recommended mods ONLY, and note the results as listed below:

Mission Works: You got a 'misbehaving mod' - Create a NEW profile JUST for this mission. I have several for this very reason - No big deal except having to reload ARMA every time to play this or some other mission(s).

*** Part 2 ***

Mission Does Not Work: This would SEEM like SOME update 'broke' the mission. What 'update' broke it? Who knows. All you can do it to TEST and let the dev know that you DID test and HOW you tested it, then wait for them to fix it, if possible. IF it is an update, being they just release 'Sperhead 1944', this would be my first choice as not only did they release the DLC, the ARMA client was ALSO updated.


Also, in the above case, there is a chance that your ARMA is corrupt. Small chance, especially if all other mods/missions work. Verify your ARMA files as well as UNSUBSCRIBING from this mod, ACTUALLY DELEATING THIS MOD FROM YOUR HDD, then RESUBSCRIBING to the mod again. Without getting too technical, there is a 1*10^12 that a BIT is 'bad'. This is when a zero when it should be a one and it goes UNDETECTED!

@Rory - WHAT!?!?! You mean I got to follow directions! The very nerve! I am just suppose to get it and even if I do not have the required mods or start it as you say so, it is automatically supposed to work!

For those who find it doesnt work, have you tried following the steps above exactly? i.e. hosting a multiplayer server.

The Scenario just doesent seem to work is it out of date or sum?

Also if you want to change the time of day just go sit on the portable toilet on the back of the carrier lower section.

Zero, have you tried flying all over the Island? the friendly AA is just to cover the carrier and the main airbase otherwise you get killed before you can take off. there are areas of the map where friendly AA does not reach.

Its a pretty awesome mission, except for the fact that the AI air defenses shoot down all the enemy fighters. Literally have not had the chance to launch a single missile or even engage an enemy aircraft period. Probably just me.

Holy crap, this scenario gave me a total freedom boner.

I have been afk for a while. Just tried this mission and it still works for me. Let me know if any questions.

@alister.ali2000 maybe host a LAN Server for yourself and it might be in there.

like most stuff, the creators don't explain how to make it work (or is out of date?) a shame. following instructions never helps. I'm sure its nice though.

I dont have the Peral_AS32A tow vehicle. Dont remember the name in the list but i do know i dont have it. any chance i missed something?

@Rory - I am not sure if it was the latest CBA update, the mission will not load in MP (LAN host). I even "un-PBO'ed" the mission, and tried to open it in the editor, it failed with 'Error Loading Mission'.

Then I tried an 'old trick'; merging your mission into a new mission. All it got me was the error "Cannot merge mission from 2D editor into 3D editor", which, to me, usually denotes a bad mission file of some sort.

At this point, it would seem that this mission is no good. One can not play it nor can they open in in the editor.

a tad hard cos the moment you launch off the Nimitz you are getting spotted left and right.

There is a small corridor inbetween the carrier and the airbase that is deemed safe enough as i feel everywhere else is coverred with AA and SU35s.

90% of the time i spent is evading, and the lag in certain places is not helping.

A genuinely cool mission but needs greater refinement

Hey, if ur still working on the mission, maybe u can replace the Nimitz with the aircraft carrier in the fighter jet DLC as the texture of the Nimitz is not that good XD
Also, after some major updates of ARMA 3, some of the objects are flying in the ship. Hope u can fix that soon

cannot find the map in the multiplay , but it can be found in the single play

install all correct mods (only) but no work still recieve error.

Planes were not F14s when I spawned in, they're wasps. Pickup helo doesnt seem to work - there are no support items listed in the command menu.
