Hey guys, what happened after all regarding ND and MAV mod compatibility? Is it done/evolving?
atamize 30 Aug, 2017 @ 7:08am
Hey Uglu_Muglu, it looks like we're gonna have to create new versions of our mods in order to be compatible with WOTC. I think this would be a good opportunity to combine Mission Award Variety and Nice Dropship into one supermod for WOTC. I can start working on it once I get the tools set up, and I'd be happy to add you as a contributor. What do you think?
macelharen 20 Aug, 2017 @ 12:50am
this overrides that class as well so it definitely won't complement this mod at all. I'll try yours out to see if it gives me more immersion by building backstory for my characters through better information
Lizard 2 Jun, 2017 @ 1:05pm
its just my inclination as a commander that I would review information on a unit-by-unit basis. Perhaps this could even open the door to providing not only mission results but also record highs and lows for each unit.

Of course it all comes down to can it be done and if as the MOD author you would even want to explore the idea. It is your creation after all. Either way, I'm keeping it, because, awesome.
Lizard 2 Jun, 2017 @ 1:05pm
Hi. Great job here. My load screens seem to linger, and having more debriefing information adds a nice touch. I do have one suggestion, maybe as a second edition of the MOD, and if its been suggested already, great another vote for it, and if its been considered and deemed implausible so be it.

I'd like to see each display of stats devoted to a single unit as it pages through, having the stats side-by-side is a fair way to provide comparison, but at least for me, the information is currently edged to the left and right so far that the first two soldiers cover it most of the time, and ...stupid word count...

Hi Uglu_Muglu! Recently I'm translating excellent XCOM 2 mods into Chinese, and I've been enjoying this mod of yours. Chinese localization file could be found here [drive.google.com]. If you don't find it bothering to add support for Chinese players it would be very appreciated!

Just wanted to let you know that there is a slight incompatability with the Long War Perk Pack. It seems that the Hit Stats for normal shots are not displayed correctly for the new Ranger class, because the basic fire ability is replaced by "Light'em up" for them.
Uglu_Muglu  [author] 15 May, 2016 @ 9:16am
Fixed the compatibility with the new patch
MysticalPotato 12 May, 2016 @ 9:46pm
most mods are broken with a new patch and this one is no exception. Be patient and wait for mods to be updated
ToastGoblin 12 May, 2016 @ 6:47pm
This mod seems to not be working properly on the new patch. The screen in the skyranger on the way back to base is just the normal stats instead of the ones i usually see with the mod. Anyone else have this issue?
Uglu_Muglu  [author] 12 May, 2016 @ 1:12am
Hey Thedeejnylv76

The score is a luck score:
It basically evaluates how much hits you got and compares it with the expected number of hits you got.I am aware of the problem that the threshhold for the different ranks are a little bit high.
They are plus/minus 2/4/6
So to get a different rank from common soldiers you would have to be at least 2 shots ahead of the average which would be e.g. you hit 4 50/50 shots and miss none
For longer missions this threshold is almost never reached (as the probability that such an event occurs drops exponentially). Unfortunately I haven't come up with a good alternative for this one.
Thedeejnylv76 11 May, 2016 @ 10:18pm
What is the highest ranking you can get on this? I'm testing a new mod configuration for my game so I'm playing on Veteran and I was wondering if that had an effect. Despite flawless missions, I cant ever get better than "common soldiers"
pauloel7 30 Apr, 2016 @ 2:00pm
I have deleted the folder C:\Users\<your user>\Documents\My Games\XCOM2\XComGame\Config and let the game reconstruct it... worked out. FYI - same proceedure resolved other mods as well. Thanks :)
Uglu_Muglu  [author] 29 Apr, 2016 @ 2:16am
Hi pauloel7
You are the second user with a mac having trouble.
Does the mod work by default (without introducing customization as mentioned in the GUIDE?)
And btw what exactly does it mean it is not working?
Are the Loading Screens still the common ones, are there no loading screens? etc
pauloel7 28 Apr, 2016 @ 1:19pm
Hi Muglu, thanks for this mod - neat idea btw. I cannot get it to work, though. I do NOT have the potentially conflicting mod "Mission Award Viriety" installed. I executed those four steps of yours @https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/workshop/filedetails/discussion/638033072/392184522717051219/ . What should I do to get it to work (mac pc)?
Emeyin 25 Apr, 2016 @ 10:30pm
@Uglu_Muglu Cool thanks. Looking forward to using this mod. :)
Uglu_Muglu  [author] 25 Apr, 2016 @ 11:21am
@Emey
No but it's only a matter of time. I haven't had much contact with a computer lately (That's also why I responded this late) but the technical difficulties should be no problem.
Emeyin 18 Apr, 2016 @ 3:22pm
Is this compatibile with Mission Award Variety mod yet?
Crayon Flux 6 Apr, 2016 @ 7:41am
Hi. Not sure where to post this, as I would like to report two bugs with your mod. I like to thank you for making a cool mod. However, I am running into some issues without even having tried it yet. In the main menu, where one of the soldiers from your character pool is supposed to be, that character is missing after subscribing to your mod. Unsubscribing and it was back again. Then I started the game over again, and loaded a saved game. Upon doing so, it said your mod was missing, and that it may cause conflict. This is normal when unsubbing after having saved a game. However, this time I had not saved a game with your mod in use, only opened the character pool. So, just thought you might know this. I would very much like to use the mod, as the vanilla stats are tedious and boring to look at. But when it makes graphics disappear in the main menu, I will give it a try at a later date. I am on a Mac btw. Thanks!
Gerishnakov 6 Apr, 2016 @ 5:11am
@Ims919 and @TheDyingScotsman this is not the place for you two to hurl insults at each other. Please take whatever this is elsewhere.
MysticalPotato 31 Mar, 2016 @ 1:41pm
"4-Because playing XCOM 2 with 4 soldiers is boring and not have any strategy? I guess that DOES mean you don't understand the game AT ALL, are clueless at how it's meant to be played and never ranked up to captain. Yup, thinking 4 soldiers and no strategy is XCom 2 just proved how ignorant you are btw. Good job on making yourself look even more immature and stupid :) I suppose you have to be good at something when you can't even insult someone with less than a pathetic attempt as you just displayed. A la prochaine pauvre con, en attendant, la ferme dak?
MysticalPotato 31 Mar, 2016 @ 1:39pm
@lms919 nice try at the insults there. There's no point playing a game intended to have 6 (not 4 like you seem to think, which begs the question have you even played the game very far? LMAO) squad members, with 10 or however many more you play with, unless you're increasing enemy count by the same factor.

Not how the game was intended to be played.

Mod the game how you like but it's a silly endeavour and you're only cheating yourself out of the experience the game was intended to deliver. I have a bunch of mods, but none that affect balance as the game is fine as is minus a few issues.

Each to their own but next time don't try the "englishman" bullshit with me, it doesn't fly, little boy.
Gerishnakov 28 Mar, 2016 @ 12:53pm
@Uglu_Muglu yep that'll be it. Thanks for clearing that up!
Uglu_Muglu  [author] 28 Mar, 2016 @ 8:45am
@Gerishnakov
Was it 50 before changing to version 1.0?
The luck system was changed in Version 1.0. Maybe that's what's causing the confusion.
Check the GUIDE: Design your favorite Screens for an interpretation of the new luck score.
Gerishnakov 28 Mar, 2016 @ 8:07am
Hi, my luck values are now showing as if they've been divided by 100 (0.5 instead of 50, etc...). All I've customised is the display time for each screen (8 down from 10), so I'm not sure what's causing the problem.
Uglu_Muglu  [author] 28 Mar, 2016 @ 1:02am
Uglu_Muglu  [author] 28 Mar, 2016 @ 12:46am
Hey Ims 919

You can configure the screens in such a way that they display statistics for all 8 soldiers. See the discussions section for further help.
It is not supported by default thought.
MysticalPotato 27 Mar, 2016 @ 3:00pm
having more than 6 is a really silly and bad idea for this game. Why not just play on rookie?
MysticalPotato 26 Mar, 2016 @ 2:54am
Common soldiers means you suck :P If you get RNG Worshippers you're doing well.
Algol 25 Mar, 2016 @ 7:21pm
Thanks for the nice mod, I was wondering what ratings for your squad represent in details and how are they calculated? The only one I seem to get is "Common Soldiers".
Thedeejnylv76 24 Mar, 2016 @ 4:22pm
Is this compatible with Mission Award variety?
Gerishnakov 24 Mar, 2016 @ 10:33am
Is there currently a way to skip through the screens rather than waiting for them to change? If not could that be modded in?
Mister Vertigo 17 Mar, 2016 @ 11:34am
@Uglu_Muglu: Thanks, I found the file in:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\workshop\content\268500\638033072\Config

I will try this when I get home! Thanks!
MysticalPotato 17 Mar, 2016 @ 9:19am
Haha you're right you know, it's not very easy to come up with something! I'll have a think about it and see what I can come up with :)
Uglu_Muglu  [author] 17 Mar, 2016 @ 9:00am
@TheDyingScotsman

Yes Englisch is not my first language.
Doging is a mispelling should be dodging.
"Common Lucker" arises from the way it is created:
The adjective like common/dodging reflects the defensive luck whereas the noun (Lucker, Soldier) reflects the offensive luck
If you can come up with a better adjective reflecting your "luckyness" when you haven't been very lucky/unlucky go ahead.
Uglu_Muglu  [author] 17 Mar, 2016 @ 8:55am
@Mister Vertigo
Yes there is a way to not show that screen:
Where the config is located depends on your Steam Installation
For me it's
E:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\XCOM 2\XComGame\Mods\NiceDropShipBriefing\Config
There is a file called XComND_Config. To achieve what you want change:
NumScreens=3 -> NumScreens=2
And DisplayOrder[1]=1 -> DisplayOrder[1]=2
that should do the trick but you will only see two screens from now on
MysticalPotato 17 Mar, 2016 @ 8:23am
Not sure if English is perhaps not your first language but some of the luck descriptions are kinda strange. "common luckers" doesn't sound right, and "doging" is not a word. I said it before, i believe you meant "dodging"., it's a shame because otherwise it's a very nice mod i like the extra info, just could be made a little more interesting
Mister Vertigo 17 Mar, 2016 @ 8:03am
Is there a way to configure the mod to hide the screen with the luck percentages? I don't care too much about luck, but I like the screen that shows all the shot percentages per soldier. If this is possible, where is the config file? Thanks!
MysticalPotato 16 Mar, 2016 @ 11:05pm
squad sizes should never be larger than 6 anyway, it's XCOM not warhammer
jezorn 16 Mar, 2016 @ 3:01pm
This mod has an issue when using other mods or *.ini edits for squads sizes that are larger than 6. It is not a critical error, in that it does not cause crashes, but it does look weird. The result is that on the third loading screen you cannot see all squad members, not an issue, but a vertical scroll bar is shown that does nothing and connot be interacted with. As well, I can see the names and stats of the other party members cut off at the bottom of the screen. Do you have any thoughts for a fix, such as showing three most lucky and three most unlucky, somehow making the scrollbar capable of being interacted with, or just showing excess squad members on another page. I imagine the second option would be the most difficult, and the first option would be the easiest. This concern is not critical, but a large number of people are using mods that increase both pod and squad size, so they just have to deal with a single page of ugly loading.
MysticalPotato 16 Mar, 2016 @ 8:30am
too true sernik!
GeminiGod 14 Mar, 2016 @ 1:49am
Non-critical bug: The soldier order is not the same on screens 2 & 3, which makes it harder to track soldiers from one screen to the other.
MysticalPotato 12 Mar, 2016 @ 8:49am
btw I think there's some misspelling in this. you have "doging" when I believe you probably meant "dodging"
MysticalPotato 10 Mar, 2016 @ 9:16am
Patch out! Hope most if not all mods work with the game still!
Geawiel 9 Mar, 2016 @ 5:37pm
Wanted to get on and update, overwatch is now working for me again!
MysticalPotato 9 Mar, 2016 @ 2:40am
That did the trick GeminiGod! Thanks man! All my other mods appear to be working too. Can't thank you enough. This should be perhaps put in the description as a fix for those having the same issue. So happy thanks again GeminiGod you da man :):steamhappy:
MysticalPotato 9 Mar, 2016 @ 2:16am
hmmm, a lot of those lines are for other mods I have, I see. Well I made a backup first just in case. Deleted them all, going to test now.
MysticalPotato 9 Mar, 2016 @ 2:13am
@GeminiGod thansk man I will try that. I've tried unsubbing, verifying cache then resubbing, this worked for some other mods I had issues with but not this one. Will try your solution and see if that works, might help other people too
Uglu_Muglu  [author] 8 Mar, 2016 @ 1:01pm
@ Stray
Thx!!!
Stray 8 Mar, 2016 @ 12:45pm
Just a heads up this would be a Debriefing a Briefing would happen before hand
