range is perfect now.. but still need to be able to command the ship the only make patrol regards of command

when a ship is captured and i tell it to fly to a location ( near shipyard) they just start patroling

Added a distance check of 500 meters. Let me know how it works i couldn't test it. Thanks for the feedback, the mod was too OP.

is there a way to get the 30 km range down to 500m?... i dont want to claim ships in battle... they just get destroyed

I see now. Well, i wish EGO had an easy 'Button' interface instead the clumsy menu system. This is the main reason the mod does it automatically.

Perhaps the Capital ship manager could use her own wallet for this. I will think about the options and see if i get the time too to implement before X4 :)

Never expected my comment to be replied 1 and a half year later. But no, what I'm trying to say is that the pilot still gets auto generated, but we still have to claim manually. Therefore we still have to spend some time choosing and claiming the fighters, but without the hassle of recruiting pilots 1 by 1.

It'd be more realistic and fun as well personally for me if we get our credits automatically deducted everytime I claim the ship. I'm not sure if these are too much to ask, but thank you anyway!

There is automatic pilot generation. Would you like the opposite where pilots wouldn't be generated then?

Hello Assailer! I've subscribed to nearly all your mods. I enjoyed them all. Thank you very much for your hard work.

A bit of request tho if possible. Out of all mods I find fly-by claiming to be rather "cheaty" to me personally. If possible, maybe you can implement a claim system where we don't have to recruit pilots? (Still have to click on Claim button, but instead a pilot will be automatically generated). Once again, thank you for your glorious works.

Lórien: thanks! in 1.07 the ownership will be set 'just in case' for claimed ships.

Quick thing I noticed...

Ships claimed by your mod seems to retain the ownership of "Ownerless" (rather than "Player"). This is viewable if you examine the save game file XML.

Of course, since the pilot belongs to you, in practice this makes no difference as you can still control the ship just fine, but just pointing it out in case it causes problems.

I have added as planned, the new pilot will have 5/5/5 skills. I consider this is a sort of AI robot pilot :)

I've got a problem, if you wanna change the pilot, it reclaimes the ship and replaces your pilot with a random pilot, without navigation skills.

I understand your reasoning for that :) It's a matter of personal taste I suppose, and I thought that perhaps since the fly-by repair changes do not happen while in combat, the same rules could be applied to your fly-by claiming mod as well. Nice work on these mods!

The reason why this happens as soon as enemy ejects is becasue i wanted to simulate that they actually join you.

In addition i didnt want to alter exisiting game scripts to stay 100% compatible :)

If I could suggest one improvement... if possible, I think this would be better to avoid claiming a ship while in combat.
