Apologies to anyone else posting on this thread for any delays to comment replies. Ive deleted Laboramboks comments because I dont deal with crying infants. I dont check that much as this mod is several years old. Hopefully anyone else posting here has common sense enough to post in a respectful manner, & ill be happy to help anyone else.
If their are things you are wishing to change i highly suggest making a patch, mount prices in particular are literally a minutes work & require no experience. Otherwise I hope the mod is being enjoyed.

My dual problem with this is the cost and the spell clutter. I am usually a Sorc, but I hate scrolling thru all the mounts when honestly we only want one of two choices. For such choice, it should be much more expensive to summon.
Suggestion:

[*] Leave this mod as is for everyone who likes it.
[*]Create a new mod in collaboration with the two other good mount mods: Sellable Summoned Mounts and Epic mounts.
[*]The epic mounts could be given an egg and added to the sellables list then seperated into 5 spell categories: Common, Epic, Legendary, Mythic and Uncanny although I'm not sure if a new category would be possible as don't mod this game (EU4 and Skyrim are enough).
[*]The cost should be more that the gold cost so it does not become abused

Otherwise, the mod is very usable and it saves a lot of fretting.

Is it only Sorcerer lords who can research invoke extraordinary mounts? Or is there another mod that lets you do it?

Yes, you would just need to make a mod and change the spell from a sorcerer one to an avatar spell.

Is there a way to make this spell available to all classes and not just the Sorcerer?

I like the mod but find the spell book too cluttered.

Is there away to make this so a choice box opens to let you choose the specific egg instead of cluttering the spell book (like when you get a production resources and a box opens with a choice for you to make)?

I would LOVE a spell book that you could hide certain spells you never use (like if you play one race and want to hide the terraform spells you never use) In fact this idea is going to be posted as a new topic

If you like having dwellings, I just released a new mod that lets you buy Settlers for Dragon, Archon, Giant, Fey from a defended building that spawns on the Mao like the inn. If you interested Look up Black Market Dwellings on the workshop.

If your still interested Ashgah, i found a way. It pretty much lets you conjure a 1 hex square like a city as a placing point for your throne that takes 0 turns to install. You just place it near one of your heroes or leaders and your can teleport a stack of units on the same turn. I launched a mod called Summon Army if you wan't to try it.

I totally understand where your coming from blacksheep, your spell tweeks mod as it is is great. The reason I split this up is that the people that encouraged me to make the mod that play sorcerer, keep invoking till they get the mount they want, with just deadweight in the extra unsellable eggs.
A raptor would be in a category on its own either way. Ashgah as for your comment I'm pretty sure you can't make a leader the target as a throne city, and if you could you wouldn't be able to revert back in game to another city as they are all randomly generated city IDS.

Hi there, I'm the author of the Summon Spell Tweaks mod. I noticed the discussion further down in the comments about splitting out the spells further into individual creatures.

I think a balance needs to be struck between extended choice and clogging up the spell book with lots of similar spells. I asked a lot of people about tweaking the Archdruid summons before I made the mod, and the consensus was they wanted 3 individual summon spells per tier, maximum.

Of course, some people would be happy with even greater separation. :) I'm sticking with the majority though - there are no plans from me to extend my mod.

For this mod, I like the idea of splitting out the 'Invoke Mount' spell but I'd be happier if it was just split into tiers (e.g. summon legendary / epic / mythical mount) so the spell book stays nice and uncluttered. But hey, that's just one guy's opinion. :)

Is the thing that lets you change your throne city a spell effect? If it is, you could cast the spell, select the hero/leader which changes them to a temporary throne city (again, not sure if the throne city effect can only be applied to cities), use the 'Move Player to Throne City' effect and then restore the previous throne city to being a throne.

How feasible is that?

To make a spell you need to use existing components in the game engines spell effects. The Spell of Return spell uses a targeter that selects a hard coded effect called "Move Player to Throne City". This was one of the things that first came to my mind aswell ;).

For summoning units to heroes and leaders, could you use a variant of the sorcerer's strategic spell that returns the selected army to your home city? I can't remember what the spell's called, sorry.

I don't know if it is possible, I don't mod myself. Just wondering if you had considered it.

Both welcome :). As for alexej, have you tried asking the creator of summon spell tweaks to break them down for you? In a new mod? I really feel like I would be imposing and taking credit for his mod by breaking down all the summons, then posting a new one. The thing I would love to make more than anything now would be an avatar spell that summons units to your heroes or leaders. Im not sure this is possible though because to mod you need to use existing game effects.

Yes there is mod that improves druid summons and its great to play, but it is not that every summon has its own summon spell. Snow mammoths bears and wolves are under one spell for example. Its far better than vanilla, but I can see potential here ;) Anyway this is one of the mods I am not going to abandon. NEVER ;)

This is amazing as it is! Don't change it! Finally one does not have to summon dozens of creatures just to have a single one (i hate spiders and beetles)

Thanks 2 both, let me know if you would like me to alter some of the casting costs for the prices. Alexej have you tried the summon spell tweaks mod? Doesn't that do something similar? Otherwise I can work on a mod for it. Again if you would like some of the spell costs changed for each mount let me know :). My balancing will come from your feedback.
