I like the idea by the way, pikes with no shield look totally dumb. They would of perished to missile fire so quickly had they been deployed with not even a buckler, but I guess I'm taking the game too seriously at times lmao.

That's a pity, but it's still worth it for civilisations who don't have the halb. Being a pedant historically speaking that shield was given to Knights because it's a typical 11thc cavalry shield. The actual author should have picked the man-at-arms or longswordsman shield imho.
