Hey, just a silly doubt. I was playing with a friend. Do we need to battle a monster every turn (encounter card)?
If not, it seems like going to grab the equipment is too plain. But if that's the case, is extremely hard to move anywhere without a constantly respawning due to losing battles.

VERY fun game!! I'm obsessed! Only thing i found during gameplay was that there didn't seem to be a use for the bigger quiver. There's a wishing well/cave card thing that gets you an upgraded quiver but there doesn't seem to be a purpose or game piece for that. Did we overlook it? It's no big deal at all just the only card we were unsure of.

Yeah... over the years, I’ve come to realize all the little things that could be improved—like the aspects you mentioned, as well as enemy damage and general balancing, which sometimes feel a bit off. There are probably some spelling errors too, along with a bunch of other things that need fixing.

But at the moment, I don’t see myself finding the time to fix all these issues

The game does have a lot of work put into it but there are just so many errors that crop up (unable to roll hookshots for one of the bosses, I got warped to the dark world with no way back, a ton of locations just blocked off with no way to enter them)
I hope there's a future update to this.

The original dice model from "The Hyrule Fantasy" Game was taken down or whatever and I made a new Model.

I feel like one of the Dark World warps has an error. At Y16 in the light world it requires titan's mitt and takes you to FF2. This is a direct copy of what's at FF2 in the light world. It should be Regular gloves and takes you to Y16.

yeah you can either start at links house or at the sanctuary.

The bosses are usually done in order, but of course if you feel like it you can shuffle it as well.

Also, are you supposed to shuffle the boss deck before you start? or are they in order as intended and people just fight the same one for each dungeon?

So bit of a silly question, which space do you start at? I ask cause it says start on space i16 and space W19 in the light world. I'm assuming it is the one where Links house is but am just curious.

This just happened to me, after joining a game and the group slowly getting the hang of it, (i thought moving 3 tiles and choosing not to encounter would take seconds not minutes :S)
I got sent to the dark world, i offered to draw a new card to continue along and the host said that would be cheating and called his victory lol.

Needs a fix

Or perhaps modify the rule about dying in the dark world so you only start on the pyramid if you have the mirror. So if you don't have it, you'll restart in the light world like normal.

There's a shield shop in the video game that sell the fighter's shield, fire shield and (after you've obtained it in Turtle Rock) the Mirror Shield. Perhaps an event card for that merchant could be added.

The shield probably doesnt need to change, thats a fair point. Maybe its gone until you win another encounter? seems a bit extra complex for the simplicity the game is achieving though

I gotta admit, I didn't do a lot of research about enemies (yet). I went with what I remembered or what I felt like.
Somtimes I wanted to make something more unique rather than something accurate.

I will change the things you mentioned.
even tho I'm not sure about the Pikits stealing your shield. 'Cause how would you get it back if you lose?

Suggestions to editing enemies (no swapping to keep balance the same)
- Pikits steal your shield in the video game, why not in this one?
- Blue Baris are 1-hit kills, and could remain a 4 on any sword
- Red Baris spawn 2 extra things, and take 2 hits from a lv 1 sword, so they could be a 5 -> 4 with a lv 2+ sword, rather than a flat 4
- Buzz Blobs don't take damage from Hammer, but do from either Cane (Cane of Somaria & Cane of Byrna). This might keep them accurate to the game, but still killable.
- Vitreous doesn't take damage to a hookshot, but does to arrows, swapping that would make more sense.

Suggestions for enemy swaps to make the traits more accurate to the game itself:
- A Gibo takes no damage from hookshot in ALttP, if we swap it with Dacto, which is 1shot by the hookshot normally, itd be more accurate (Gibo: 5 -> 4 with lv 3 & Dacto 7 -> 5 with hookshot)
- Green Zirro is immune to the boomerang, which Octoroks are often the target of during early alttp. (Green Zirro 7 -> 6 with level 3 sword, Octorok 4 -> 3 with boomerang)
- Blue Zirro is the same as the Green Zirro, and Sand Crabs are a 1 shot via any sword, and are also weak to the boomerang, so the same swap would benefit this pairing as well (Blue Zirro 5 -> 4 with lv 3 sword, Crab 5 -> 3 with Boomerang)

I skipped a bunch of items actually. I mean the boomerang itself isn't doing anything and upgrading it would just waste time with no other effect to it, so I decided to remove it. Also magic is not a thing, like you said.
the major changes are mainly to shorten the game somewhat, cause it's already like 3h-6h long^^

It's not very user friendly yet, in terms of sizes and formats and all. You will probably need to change a lot of the sizes and make them fit unto the papers. (Also I don't know how the sizes are relatated to each other.. like card backs are huge and the cards itself are rather small...)

I will try to make it fit together better for DIN A4 Format and standart US Letter size.
So at the end of the Week I will probably re-upload and edit this again.

@DeNam You wouldn´t have to do extra work. Just release a zip file containing the graphic files you used for TTS. The work for fitting the files to print can be done by fans themself. Hyrule Fantasy (translated) PnP was released the same way. No one would have to pay for shipping, only print and play ;)

I guess I don't want to, cause it would mean a lot of extra work and I'm nor entirely sure how I would attack such a task...
as well as making it accessible to most people could be a problem, because of shipping and such.

but I mean If you have made your own printout version before you could do it again :D

I played the first Hyrule Fantasy on TTS with friends, and then I stumbled upon this just now. I'm hoping it's not too long and has the same enjoyment factor.

That being said, I applaud your efforts. This must've taken a long time to make!

I noticed the dice are off center, and the sides do not line up with the number presented if you press the numbers between 1-6.

Whenever I click on the notebook to read the rules of the game, all the tabs that explain everything have a lock on them, except for the first one. Am I doing something wrong? XD

I did a nice job? Have you seen your work? This board's just a bit of polish and clarification from just being a bigger, better, Hyrule Fantasy. I saw this game a couple days ago and I got really excited about the presentation of it. On closer inspection I noticed that it needed a couple more iterations before it's fully complete, but I am definitely looking forward to playing this with my friends if it does ever get to that stage. There's just so much more and more interesting content that can be done with this game, it'd be like the actual jump between Zelda 1 and ALttP.

yeah I know I made quite a few mistakes throughout the whole project, cause believe it or not I was usually in a hurry while I was working on it (blame my stupid ex-GF!).
there's also a few spelling errors on the cards.

initially I wasn't planing on updating it, but now I feel much more like it.

Hi i just got this game and loaded it but i cant find any instruction how to setup the game where to put wich items where to put what enemy. Where can i find a manuel for the whole game ?

just click that little subscribe button to have the game availible within Tabletop Sim.
Open up the game and select Singleplayer.
Now you click on the big blue button that says Workshop and select the game you wanna play.
It should then load everything up.

Multiplayer obviously works somewhat different but I'm sure you already know how to do it. if not just ask again.
