just say that it vents some of the oxygen to cool it. The slope part looks like a vent anyway. Also there would be 8 (or more depending on isotope ratios) times more O2 by mass but "Oxygen and Hydrogen are produced at a 1:1 ratio. In addition, the processing only produces one output. Either Oxygen or Hydrogen, but not both. Giving the Oxygen Generator access to both oxygen and hydrogen tanks will merely split the output of the Oxygen generator into using 50% of the available ice for Oxygen and 50% of the available ice for Hydrogen."This is the wiki's entry on the stock O2 generator. MahTrok.... Quiet now, ice is frozen H2O, not dirt and H2O, and also, there is 2 hydrogen atoms to every oxygen atom in water, sure, 3x is a little too much, it is a game, but if you want to bitch, first get your facts right.

If you want to justfiy the illogical operation of this machine, just assume its increase in power usage translates to greater speed of splitting the H2O particle and claim it vents the oxygen to reduce strain on, and complexity of the hardware.

You guys know, Ice is nothing but H2O mixed with dirt, so doubled amount of Hydrogen to Oxygen, i don't know how this Generator should produce more H of the same amount of Ice then a vanilla Oxygen Generator while the amount of H in 1 H2O is allways the same and even todays electrolysis can reach efficiency rates 80% to nearly 100% (MIT), but i guess by increasing the Power consumption you could say: it somehow works more efficient in splicing the atoms and collecting the H after, then a vanilla One.
But then the amount of produced Oxygen should be increased in the same way and not decreased, there isn't a single reason why the definetly produced Oxygen (2:1) should be vented to space or burned as trash.

Anyway, the Mod, like it though, nice work on the models and definetly a great idea to make em much larger then the Vanilla Ones. (What could also be a reason for more Output: More Input). And they look fantastic if integrated into the Hull cause of the slopes. Thumbs up, keep it up

The use for a hydrogen generator is clear, but what's the point of including oxygen generation at all? There is a want/need for a hydrogen only generator.

when-ever i place it, it shows wire frame for the reg o2 gen. if i build it out it, the block is just a reg o2 gen.

Well ya but that is 3x3x7 which is a bit large for a fighter. I'm just looking for something like 1x1x2 to fit in the nose or something.

It's called "Oxygen Generator" in-game, perhaps that is the problem...

Any update on a 1x for small ships? I want something I can put in the nose of my fighter...

@Greystar try loading just this one mod in a new world and see if it works or try placing the mod higher in the loading list.

As far as the small version goes...a 1x1 would be nice for fighter grills but a small block version at full size, ie 5x5 or whatever it is, would be cool too. Some of my big small ships need large scoops. No rush but assuming a small block version using the same size model would be easier than resizing it.

Could this have conveyor ports added to it's underside?

Looks great, but it's just a black model in DX9.

Due to an issue with the game code, i cant yet play in DX11.
Allthough the issue is being worked on, the devs say it can be some time before its fixed.
If it isnt too much trouble, could the model be made to work in DX9 aswell?

This shows that there are 2 hydrogen atoms in the molecule (a group of atoms bonded together, representing the smallest fundamental unit of a chemical compound that can take part in a chemical reaction.) If I think you are referring to what I think you are, this is talking about hydrogen gas, hydrogen gas is written as H2 (2 is subscript) because in gas form the element floats around in groups of two.

because of the way the subscript works in H2O it means that there are two hydrogen atoms and only one oxygen atoms, this again means that hydrogen is made twice as fast as oxygen is.
