I figured out the condition to get past the artillery part; You have to shoot when the 2nd artillery fires, not the first; Got it my first try when I switched

Yeah, just finished it. Surely among the best user made missions I played so far. The scripting is insane and perfect voice acting. Btw the mission is NOT broken. I was about to complain as well, cause it took me like 20 tries that took forever, but it's not broken, it's just very difficult to mask the shots. Maybe a bit to punishing, but not impossible. Good stuff.

this is unplayable, no matter how well-masked is your shot AI will always trigger because they spot either us or the AI squads waiting in the valley. Even tried scripting so enemy sentries die exactly when artillery fires - nope, mission fails. Heavy scripting in Arma is a no-go, if it was like that before then I have no idea why this has 5 stars.

The artillery is not doing anything, therefore I am unable to take a shot during the light flashes. I think this scenario is broken or needs a mod I don't have.

Mission failure in ARMA should be:
1, The moment you actually died
2, When 80% of your allies got wiped out and the mission ends in total disaster as a consequence of your action.

Enjoyed this even more than Part 1. Could not see artillery flashes in my Arma 3 running without mods, but managed to get timing right in spite of that. Defending the position was challenging until I lobbed lots of grenades, popping up from a safer spot and back to reload :steamhappy:

This series is my favorite, i hate being a commander (which most other missions on the workshop offer) and this one perfectly fits me.

@OksmanTV i was pretty sure everyone from the hellcat died OP. i even ran around and rechecked behind the rock to see if someone was stuck.

The next waypoint marker was also triggered and the second "ambush" Csat soldiers already spawned in.

IDK what triggered that weird AI movement as before hand scripted moments ran perfectly fine.
I think i will try again later with all my script mods disabled and no time acceleration, see if thats what causing the issue. -i didnt had any AI script altering mods before hand

@Pew Pew Not quite sure, could be or something or someone isn't dead. I believe the next phase is triggered when all enemies are dead. I haven't heard this one before so I can't say for sure!

Arma 3 is always like this it seems, for some it works for some it doesn't, usually a restart fixes things but then again... I dno, perhaps it is broken?

Anyone else got this?

the moment i enter and finish the ambush sequence. the squad dosent move onto the next checkpoint, retreat into the forest. they instead move up and stand there doing nothing.

I venture further into the forest and at the checkpoint also see the enemy ai csat doing nothing standing there, not even firing back. Is it one of my mods thats interfering them or is the mission bugged on something i did before hand like time accelerate?

People seem to have different results with that, it does work for most people I believe. I can't really tell what you are doing wrong, I changed it to have 1-3 seconds to shoot, so it's very difficult to not succeed.

Maybe restart? I don't know why it doesn't work for some of you

The Mission does not work! The moment when i shoot with the artilery it says Mission failed you got detected even when i shoot with the artilery also i have no mods loaded.

Chances are I'm doing it wrong,
But I can't see how I am.
I fire between the artillery flashes and take down the guard.
Look over to the next guard as he performs an alert animation and I fail the mission.

Or I aim at the guards fucking knees and see a bullet impact above his head, he goes alert and I fail the mission.

IDK what I could possibly be doing wrong

It's using the "fire" of the artillery to cause a "trigger" to be open for 3 seconds, for you to lay down a shot. If you miss and you are detected that will also fail the trigger. I don't have access to the game anymore since I stopped playing a few months back so I can't really fix it.

It was working for a very long time, but maybe BI made changes in how the commands work? or you're doing it wrong, either way man. Can't do much here :/

Poorly programmed.
On the part where you fire in tandem with the artillery shots and get insta detected when I fire.

Every time without fail.
Mission is impossible to complete.
