That's because you're probably using the spawn lists. When you bring up the spawn menu (Q key) you have to go to the "SCars" tab (with a tiny red car icon, at the top of the spawn menu window) and spawn it from there.
Unfortunately, there are none. There are some interesting vehicles in the 18 Wheels of Steel series that I plan to port sometime later, but they don't qualify for the SCars HD series.
Yes, a 1970 one from Carbon. I'll add it to my to-do list.

Sorry, I'm only porting from NFS HP2, MW 2005 and Carbon at the moment - there's no X5 in any of these games.
Don't worry, I haven't given up on them, just decided to limit the new releases to once a week or so, and focus on making more from MW and Carbon, since they're getting quite popular.
