Still, if you're looking for free ways to get new textures... between finding the CSS texture download, TF2, and various Source mods there is a lot to be had.
though i would connect it to something larger by a dangling bridge, mabey connect that to this - http://s3.freefoto.com/images/11/04/11_04_10_web.jpg
As for how to use it theres a few tutorials i watched. Theres one the dev of the game made which shows you the basics and if you want more tutorials i would recomend 3klicksPhilips tutorials. Despite his being for cs source its still the same for making maps(Only your not making to be t vs ct rather making places that look good for arcades)

As for the location in question... from spawn, go left or right. You run into a wooden rail. Jumping off throws you into bushes with TONS of objects that are hard to move past, resulting in lots of map clutter. End up having to do a lot of jumping to get back on track. I'm honestly not sure what purpose this accessible part of the map is for, since it's a bad place to put any sort of props.
As for the plants... okay, that IS more complex than I thought it would be. It's just annoying to have that stuff in the way when you do things like jump over railing, and have to spend a lot of time navigating around them to get back to where you want to go. The obvious solution is 'don't jump into the bushes', but the player easily can do so and loses a lot of time getting back to usable map section if they do. This might not be worth fixing though.
Other than that, this is a great map and is probably going to be one of my main map choices since I can't find a good luxury castle with low prop-clutter. Thanks again!
As for the colision with the plants your gonna have to tell me which in specefic because i would need to go in and actually move them(you cant get rid of colosion as far as i can tell)
windows will be easy and i didnt even realize the skybox was thaat way/ill change it
as for the pool, where do you want it? ;)
im making these maps as a pastime because im bored so ill do whatever lol
I'm not sure how easy removing the collision boxes from the various wild plants surrounding the map would be, but it'd make getting around a LOT easier.
Should the 'ponds' have some kind of railing to make it harder to fall in? Just allow people to hop back out if they do launch themselves in.
As an aesthetic thing, and this is purely opinion, the map seems like it might be 'happier' with a brighter skyline, the current sky makes it look like it's about to rain. This may be something you like though and if so that's fine!
The last thing I ponder is whether a small swimming pool would be appropriate, to help drive in the 'luxury' aspect. This is really optional as hell though, nothing important.
The windows and plant collisions are the big things that would help the map flow better.
Regardless, this is pretty close to a map theme I was looking for anyway and I'm glad to add it to my AA install. Thanks for making it!
