It's REALLY good for planning ahead though I think it should take as many hammers a brand new hammer 1 twig PLUS what it costs to make a new hammer so you dont have to worry about your hammer, OR make it instintly break after 1 hammer. :steamhappy:

Noticed a bug where removing the futureflingo while the ring was activated, cuased the ring to remain.. Had to remove the mod to remove the ring so I could actually place the real flingo..

Hm, spawning an actual placer is what I used to do. The problem was that because it was the server spawning the placer, the server owned that placer and none of the players could see it on a dedicated server. So, I decided to make a custom prefab object that uses the placer animation assets, and is networked so everyone can see it. It may be possible to make it so only the player who actually examines the future flingomatic can see the placer, but I would need to keep track per player whether they had their toggle on or off. I kind of like that when a player toggles it, all players can see the guide

I feel your pain on school :P. Glad you got it fixed!

Perhaps I misunderstand what the guide is-- it's just a normal placer, I thought? The game's placers aren't networked, they exist client-side. You can do that in a mod, too.

Well, I took a quick look, just to test something and ended up fixing that particular bug. Uploaded a new version! Let me know if anything else breaks or is incompatible with other mods

@rezecib Hm, the guide needs to be networked so that players can see it. Unfortunately, due to the way the game is coded, if the placer is not networked, it doesn't show up for anyone on a dedicated server. It may be possible to remove the placer component from the guide prefab though. I don't have much time to test it right now though (school ;_;)

So it looks like there's a crash when Geometric Placement and this mod are enabled on a dedicated server, because the Placer component is added to your networked "guide" prefab, and Geometric Placement tries to find ThePlayer. It's not clear to me why you need the guide to be networked? Shouldn't it just work like any other placer?

I couldn't build this when I tried to. I read Maria's comment and think this might have been true because I had caves on. Also it stopped me from building the flingomatic so i disabled it and i could then build the flingomatic.

I just hosted a game from the main UI, added caves, and was able to build my mod in both the overworld and the caves. It's possible that if you're running a dedicated server, you need to have some extra configuration to get the mod working on both the overworld server and the caves server.

When this mod is enabled on a world with caves, you wont be able to build it.
