@paws4effect - You also need to subscribe to the High Priority mod. It's listed in the required items.

@TheGam3 - If you check the description you will see that they do not. UMC mods do not overwrite any original game files. They just add these units to the editor.

Do your mods overwrite the original AOM units?

:)

AOM / WC3 two of my favourite RTS games, originally wanted to try and put WC3 models into AOM but my animating skills are poor at best so when I found I could port these I was so happy haha, I just wish I could find a way to make them look like the screenshots from the old version of AOM and not be so dark in extended edition - I might just edit all of the texture files to make them brighter and see if it helps!

Oh snap o.o i never thought of Warcraft units in AoM o.o this is kinda briliant :O

Nice. I like your work :)

Yes, that's pretty much it. The xml's don't take up any space so people can run whichever compatible mods they want without having to run all of them at once (not that that would even make a difference). On top of that, the proto is additional advertising for mods that people don't have installed yet (because they can see the units in the editor but can't place them).

"UMC is a standardized data format that allows AoM unit mods to be mutually compatible with one another."

... basically you're having one big proto/techtree etc file for ALL your mods? That what it means? Nice idea though
