Hmm...curious...why the 'H' is this closed? Trucks still need to apply their brakes and my Volvo is silent, regardless of my profile's settings indicating to hear air brakes...bummed

can you fix the low air pressure issue on ats? I think that the real truck losses just 4 psi when a driver hit brake, but at game, it was too much gone.
iliancu 7 Jan, 2021 @ 8:09pm
Can't imagine playing ATS without this mod now! So,when we're gonna jump another update and the mod will not work anymore, the world will crash again. And that is just because SCS still won't do the right thing and implement these brake sounds!
iliancu 5 Jan, 2021 @ 4:34pm
Hey MeanJim, thanks a million bud, i was so happy about this that i've activated the mod even in my second profile which i originally decided to keep vanilla, but now, i am so fed up with that "pfft" brake sound that i gave up on my original plans! Thanks again!

Folks, this mod stopped working at update 1.37. Nobody is working on this anymore.
stangnutlx 31 Dec, 2020 @ 1:45pm
does this work with 1.39?
iliancu 9 Nov, 2020 @ 3:23pm
I wish SCS would have done that. After all, they used similar sounds in their older games, including the original ETS, all they had to do is implement them in ATS...
BxCARDIx 9 Nov, 2020 @ 6:16am
I am going to miss this mod, I was able to use it with 1.38 and below but with 1.39 it does not work anymore. I just wish there was a way to put the sounds back in game even if it requires breaking some game files. I have been looking for new sounds but none come as close to realistic as this mod.
Todd McCuistion 7 Nov, 2020 @ 8:09am
@don camionero Nope, this mod will NEVER be updated. Try the mod I listed below, it's just as good, and you get a super realistic engine too.
Don camionero 6 Nov, 2020 @ 7:52am
1.39?
iliancu 12 Oct, 2020 @ 9:34am
Good to know

I've found a "work around" so to say. It's a new engine mod by Zeemod (Author's name is Zee on Steam). I have fell in love with this engine pack, it's the most realistic truck sound mod I've ever used. As a bonus, it has air brake and parking brake sounds very similar to Coyotes. I particularly love the engine sound within the 1400 - 1800rpm range, especially once you hit 6th gear, kind of has that classic "Tour Bus" sound to it. For the last month or so, these are the only engine mods I've used, and I always have the Windows rolled down.

Sorry folks, there is nobody left to update this, since Coyote took up a real trucking job and has no more time for this. We are, unfortunately, back to those vanilla break sounds

iliancu 8 May, 2020 @ 8:10pm
@Todd McCuistion: you lucky duck! I was praying that i wouldn't have to hear anymore that default "pfft" brake sound in ATS!
iliancu 8 May, 2020 @ 8:08pm
@Robinicus: that would be most appreciated
Robinicus 8 May, 2020 @ 6:41pm
Several people have asked me to update this, it is on the list
Todd McCuistion 1 May, 2020 @ 4:15pm
I left a reply on Kriechbaum's Mack Anthem Engine YouTube video about maybe him taking over these mods. I hope he sees it.Ever since 1.37, I don't hear the default air brake sounds even after disabling both Coyotes mods.
iliancu 24 Apr, 2020 @ 4:45pm
Right on!
Todd McCuistion 24 Apr, 2020 @ 3:44pm
@iliancu Yes, LOL. Maybe hire Kriechbaum as Sound Specialist
iliancu 24 Apr, 2020 @ 3:34pm
Or maybe SCS could do the right thing and implement real brake sounds...
Todd McCuistion 24 Apr, 2020 @ 11:06am
Now that since Coyote has pulled the plug on future updates, I was wondering if maybe Kapitan Kriechbaum could take over the Coyote's Air Brake Sounds and Coyote's Parking Brake Sounds?
iliancu 22 Apr, 2020 @ 3:11pm
Sniff, yea,it's a shame, i was hoping that that fmod brings the proper brake sounds, and while it did bring something new for the parking brake, the main brake sound is still that "pfft" crap. i'll really miss your mod,Coyote.:steamfacepalm:
VeedddeeR™ 22 Apr, 2020 @ 12:44am
Thanks for an amazing mod for so many updates! Sucks that your work is gone now but I appreciated the work you did for this!
iliancu 20 Mar, 2020 @ 7:07pm
Yea, i guess this mod's life is at its end now with the 1.37. I can only hope that, eventually, SCS will implement real brake sounds for ATS. Actually they already started with the hand brake, so i keep hoping...
LarryA 20 Mar, 2020 @ 11:46am
Thank you for developing this mod. Please sir when you have the time please up date to v1.37 If you do not have the time understand.
gordonjohn912 20 Jan, 2020 @ 12:51am
@Coyote Man.

Sorry folks, I drive trucks irl and have now since I last touched this mod. I simply don’t have the time anymore and probably won’t for a long time!
iliancu 23 Dec, 2019 @ 2:01pm
Yea, my understanding is that he took a real trucker job and gave up on moding, which is a shame, because i don't know when or even if SCS will ever implement the real sounds for american trucks.
Todd McCuistion 22 Dec, 2019 @ 8:49pm
Yes, it's confirmed, my Volvo doesn't have the air brake sounds, I was hearing other brake sounds from another mod. This is weird. I wish Coyote Man would show up and possibly fix this.
iliancu 22 Dec, 2019 @ 7:59pm
I knew it! You also have the parking break sounds, but not the main breaking sounds. Volvo is, for some reason, not compatible with this mod. Oh well, at least Lonestar is ok...
Todd McCuistion 22 Dec, 2019 @ 7:52pm
Actually it might not be this mod that I hear, because it's just a hiss sound and doesn't have multiple sounds, especially that one with the "PPFFFF" sound that I like so much. Let me see if I can disable my new engines and try
iliancu 22 Dec, 2019 @ 7:28pm
Damn!
Todd McCuistion 22 Dec, 2019 @ 6:33pm
iliancu yes it does.
iliancu 22 Dec, 2019 @ 6:23pm
Could you, please? Of all trucks, this is the only one not working with the breaking sounds. Works, though, with the parking break sound. Odd...
Todd McCuistion 22 Dec, 2019 @ 6:14pm
iliancuI haven't driven it for a while, but I can check.
iliancu 22 Dec, 2019 @ 6:09pm
Hey Todd, a question about this: is your Volvo working with the breaking sounds?
Todd McCuistion 22 Dec, 2019 @ 6:07pm
I also found out that the Workshop mod "International Lonestar SCS Sounds Reworked" if enabled it will also put the default air brake sounds in, so they aren't compatible.
Todd McCuistion 22 Dec, 2019 @ 6:05pm
narutouzumaki999 I found out that they aren't in there. Search in Steamapps/common/American Truck Simulator and find the DLC's for the default trucks. Then when adding the folders in the mod, just put the truck name and disregard the DLC part.
Todd McCuistion 22 Dec, 2019 @ 6:01pm
narutouzumaki999 I found out after waiting 30 minutes for it to unload that you don't. You find them in the Stemapps/Common/American Truck Simulator and search the DLC's for the default trucks. When adding the folders, just put the truck name disregarding the DLC part.
narutouzumaki999 22 Dec, 2019 @ 4:55pm
How do you find the truck models in the Base Files?
Todd McCuistion 22 Dec, 2019 @ 2:24pm
Got it, thank you for you assistance iliancu
