The fourth dimension and rebirth are the best maps ever created for Talos and there are some pretty amazing works out there. So please don't listen to Dadel. They are challenging, yes, but that's good. It's an amazing experience for anyone who enjoy puzzles that actually require some thinking as opposed to the "find the stupid hidden switch" trend on the latest maps.

First part is ok, second is stupidly hard. Don't bother with it. Without video unsolvable. With video not funny, just boring work.

Right-click on the game in your library and choose Properties. Select the Betas tab and choose the legacy version fitting your os. That should work.

I am subscribed, but this doesn't show in game or moddable version. Is there a trick to using this? I feel dumb. :(

The TTP engine was updated a couple of years ago and there is no support for older maps.

You can either switch to the legacy version of TTP or try the version of my map offered on this site: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1737286552&searchtext=

My first playthrough was in June of 2020, but I replayed this this week, and didn't remember much--I certainly didn't remember any solutions, though I remembered a few mechanics, like the fan+platform mechanic used in a couple puzzles. Anyway, these puzzles are top-notch. I especially like Eclipse and 1...2...3, but they all range from good to great. Some of the stars are brutal though especially one that's too parkour-reliant and reset-prone for my tastes, and the purpose of the stars is far too well-hidden, though the Portal 2 -themed bonus puzzle they unlock is pretty cool . Then again, I was not a big fan of the stars in the base game either (though Gehenna did them better).

there is some news article last year about some dev of croteam saying ttp2 is 'definitely' happening. As of now no new news on that. only hope left ;)

Sorry for bothering you (again) Up and down is done. I now understand the extra hindering gate on the wall. But when I first tried the 'box in the back' solution i coulden't get it right. Almost done now. Are you going to make a new map? Because you do it very well :steamhappy:

Thx four your quick respond. But the problem is not that i don't know how to solve it, but that the only solution doesn't work because of the spiky gate on top of the left wall in 'up and down' that wasn't in LB's nor the official video (i checked)

I do not remember LB‘s solution but it may well be that he found an unintended way that I prevented. So i would not say that I made it harder I simply tried to enforce the intended solution ;)

You can always peek at the solution video above which is „official“.

Aha... now i made it to 'Up and down' But... I can't connect long enough to open te gate. When i watched LB's solution I saw that he doesn't have the gate on top of the left wall. Am i missing an update? or did you decide to make it even harder? :steammocking:

Dear Innocentive. I finally did it. I don't know why, but i did what i did in the first place (standing in front of the first closed! energyscreen) . But i got convinced that was wrong because somehow the screen was open when i tried to land on the platform. Anyway when i saw LB doing the same thing in his video walkthrough, i tried it again and now it worked. :steamhappy:

Dear Innocentive, my problem has to be a bug of some kind, because i land in myself (clone) so even if i land on the platform (yes i have it over my head) i am not on the platform. What's wrong?

Hi, thx for this great mod. However, I am stuck in Eclipse because no matter what I try, i keep landing on the wrong spot of my clone. Whenever I try to stand on exactly the same spot as i landed before i just land somewhere else . Can you help?

Did you actually do that? Because I do not know how to do what you are describing without a hexaedron, which you only get after having all the sigils you claim you can get. Also, it is intended to be able to leave the last two puzzles for various reasons as you may already have noticed.

And nice alternative solution for 1...2...3. Did not know that existed but indeed legit! Thanks!!!

Thank you for such a great campaign! It's very qualitative and challenging. The only one minus that i noticed is the world2 method to take stars. The player, that start from "Up & Down", can easely take the "Enemy mine" sigil and, with some jump ability, "Eclipse" sigil. And the player, that start from "Neverending story", can reach the "1...2...3" and "Angular Delay" sigils. May be it will be a good idea to add some fences to this border-walls labyrinth:)

Unfortunately, I cannot make total sense of what you are mentioning. Suffice it to say that there is no decimal format involved in the solution. The numbers above the lamps indicate binary digits, i.e. bits of binary A42. And yes, I know that this puzzle is pretty far out there... ;)

Third year I try to undestand serpent puzzle. It's impossible for me. If A42 is in hex system, the answer in binary system will be 101001000010. But 4 numbers from the answer gives 1011, 1001, 110 and 1 if they are written in decimal system and 10001, 1001, 110, and 1 if they are written in decimal system. What's the relations between these numbers?!

Hah! No, didn't realize that but you are right. I didn't see the possibility to put the connector on the plate so that the recording can readjust the jammer. Good find!

I'm sure you already know this and by now the map is kind of old anyways, but 2 + 2 can be solved with mostly only the jammer. A recording device and a jammer can pass through three forcefields, that's the 3rd puzzle in the Tower in the real game. :P

Enjoying it so far, though! Self-Starvation is especially really cool.

I'm absolutely blown away by the quality of this mod. These are some of the best puzzles I've had the pleasure of unraveling, and some of the innovations you've made (such as the serpent torch turning and piecemeal star) have elevated it above even the base game.

The level design is top notch, too - the waterfall is breathtaking. Haven't had any FPS drops, unlike in many other mods. I'm glad you included the day puzzles, as I think they do a good job of introducing the solving concepts you'll need to master to take on the other half.

I'm still working on the night puzzles (I love the ambiance of the Egyptian night, too, glad to see you used it in this mod), and while they are intimidating, I feel optimistic.

In summary: I didn't think it was possible, but you've actually made me enjoy recorder and beam interruption puzzles. Wow. 11/10.
