I know it's been awhile, but i really liked this mod. wonder if there's a plan for this to pop up in long war 2 in some fashion?

I have updated with a fix for the problem with walker servos and other items still revert to lower levels.

Hey guys, I am currently trying to address the issues found, but on compatibility with DLC, I don't really have an idea what's causing the error. The item reverting back to previous builds seem to rest with the UpgradeItem function and BaseItem function which the authors used one or the other depending on which update you have...I'll try to resolve the problem, but it may take some time.

I love this mod but I encountered a bug when I finally was able to make the ultimate walker servos and suddenly I found my self only bing able to build the basic one from advent exosceleton.

Dunno if the author is going to update this for the Armory change on the Avenger, so that the ruler armor introductions work, but a good place to start looking for the bug would be one of: X2StrategyElement_DefaultFacilities
X2StrategyElement_DefaultStaffSlots
X2StrategyElement_DefaultTechs
Those are apparently what Scientist Staff Slots overrides and it has the same problem.

The issue I found so far is that this mod makes the Avenger's trophy-room from Hunter's DLC revert back to the old armory style....

I have an issue where I go to upgrade items, then when i go to build them later, the workshop reverts them to only build the basic item. (i.e. upgrading the barrel extension to advanced, then later only able to build basics again)

@Gh0stmak3r I have the same issue. After a LOT of testing I can confirm that it is this mod, not Shen's Legacy.

It is either this mod or Shen's legacy which is causing my game to freeze when equipping the ALien hunter armor...any idea what's going on?

I had an issue where the walker servos when upgraded to superior only upgraded the one i had built, then I was only able to build the basic walker servos.

Update: Someone mentioned that though this mod helped mid-game it was not the most helpful for early game. To balance this I added an ability that is given to all units Colonel and below +10 Aim and +10 crit so rookies are Less Shit more accurate.

@jbrandyman I thinki +5 on each rank is more than enough, no need to be 5/10/15. Being able to get aorund 60 dodge seems good as I have faced a few enemies now that have 60 dodge (some custom enemies, but still, 60 dodge is insane). Loving the mod so far :)

@JLtheking2 Thanks for the help! I just unsubscribed and force my game to use the debug version (didn't know I get this benefit as mod author XD). It works pretty well so I'll just keep myself unsubscribed for the time being.

Let me know if you have any other suggestions or bugs you need me to fix and I'll try to get on it soon. I'll be busy as hell for the next two weeks though, so I hope XCOM 2 doesn't update and break all mods again...since that would mean I gotta wait for a month or so before having the time to fix it.

I got the mod to update! Just needed to unsub and resub.

One thing I think you have to make sure is for steam to properly remove the previous version of the mod, that the steam client deletes the contents of the mod folder, before you click resub again. If it doesn't update, you have to kickstart the client to update (try restarting the client?). Also, XCOM must not be running else steam won't update either.

The version update adds +5 dodge per walker servos item level.

Good luck getting the updating to work (because I cannot :( and is now confused)

This is rediculous, I'm playing my own mod and it's not updating, so I have everything from the beginning XD. I apparently still have the unpatched version and have no idea how to force it to update...

Oh the irony of the author playing an older/incorrect version of his own game and not able to force it to update.

@Hybridon #yippie kaye: Yes, it is possible, but difficult, but I am trying to figure out whether the effects with default eDupe_ignore will ignore multiple items (since having 2 walker servos is also quite rediculous).

If yes, it would be easy, if no, I would need to get a UIListener to be a jerk and unequip duplicate items (the current setting the Listener will remove or ignore items that don't belong. So you cannot start putting a bunch of say, Magnetic Core Enhancer on a sniper to make them swordsman...etc.

Thanks for the Link. I'm contemplating whether it would work to have Servos grant +5, +10, +15 dodge...but if I do this means with Gun Kata (20) + Spider Suit (20) + PCS (20) + Walker Servo (15) = 75% dodge...so I'm thinking it's probably okay but a bit OP if you decide to exploit it.

What do you think?

Didnt see Gun Kata, any way to make a universal item that gives dodge like Gun Kata, but code it so they cant be both equipped? Mianly cause there are custom classes that would benefit from that, or even a ranger. :)

@Hybridon #yippie kaye: Can you give me the link to the mod? (or name of the mod?) I want to make sure that I can balance it within the mod itself as well since you know, Gun Kata gives a 20 dodge as well so I don't want to have everyone make 100% dodge Gunslingers.

On another note, did you know that if you can stack 100% dodge, no shots can hit you? I tested it personally (in debug mode though) and gave up because no one could hit me and it was getting rediculous.

Nice. Theres another mod that adds the Walker Servos, but with dodge chance. Any chance you could make items that add dodge? Cheers.

@Hybridon #yippie kaye: They sadly only show up on the default classes. This is because for the abilities granted by the GTS uses a function to grant all unlocked ability to a soldier's tree (by adding it by a class.

This means that in order to create an ability for a custom class, you will need to give the classname to the function, which I cannot do without having that custom class.

Note however, many of the items are attached to weapon, meaning FOR CANNON ONLY will work for any class with cannon as PrimaryWeapon, and FOR PISTOL ONLY will work for any class with a pistol for SecondaryWeapon ... etc.

Are the GTS upgrades only able to be "learned" by each base class, or can those abilities show up on custom classes or on a class it wasnt intended to?

@JLtheking2 It was fixed in the most recent update, it was because I still had some debug mode items on. It has been fixed.

Just tried a new playthrough of this mod. The first tech I researched, Human Design, gave me access to the Camouflage (yours is a typo, btw) Spray. And instead of a Faceless Corpse, it costs 30 supplies?

This link has the description. Could have sworn I'd seen it on here half an hour ago when I subscribed, but yeah, might want to make sure the description's back on. Mod seems pretty neat and it'd suck for it to get a bad rep.

How is it on compatability? I can't imagine it would have too many compatability issues if any, but probably a good thing to add as well.
