@MrMiyagi That's a shame, I was looking forward to playing this map. Thanks for replying and thanks for all the hard work you put into this game.
MrMiyagi  [author] 3 May, 2016 @ 12:19pm
Hi @Fingerlikin and @Jollyboys89, I still haven't found out the reason for it, but it is affecting many many mapmakers, for maps created and finished during a specific time period. Anything made after the most recent hotfix is fine, but several of us have this problem. Although we can open the maps on our own computers, everyone else has that same error. So, I can't fix it :( I just got over my extreme frustration and depression about it lol... these maps are a huge amount of work (fun work though). Wish I could fix it. I've got more maps now I'm working on, so if you like you can click "follow" on my main workshop page to get a notification when they're published
Jollyboys89 3 May, 2016 @ 9:39am
The map looks excellent but everytime I try to start a new game with it I get the following;
Object reference not set to an instance of an object [System.NullReferenceException]
Details:
No details
Any ideas?

Dr Sigmund Adegas Freud 7 Apr, 2016 @ 9:32am
Bellow the sea level, now that will a challenge to create!
MrMiyagi  [author] 7 Apr, 2016 @ 5:50am
levees, canals, map jambalaya
MrMiyagi  [author] 7 Apr, 2016 @ 5:50am
Welcome! Stick around Adegas, we're gonna have two more swampy maps - New Orleans and just upriver Destrehan, Louisiana, a joint project with other modders like Agusingnavy and Soruvisu (they made several cool intersections from the area). New Orleans will be topographically correct, meaning below sea level in many parts and the MIssissippi flowing above the city level :D
Dr Sigmund Adegas Freud 7 Apr, 2016 @ 12:39am
I love how this "swampy" map looks, i love this kind of map, in my opinion alot more challenging then a mountain maps, cause of the amout of bridges you have to plan for!
Thumbs Up!
ticoh99 29 Mar, 2016 @ 11:58am
Thank you so much MrMiyagi~ appreciate the help & the fact that its not just me having a challenge with this! lol Thanks for video!!!! And, please keep making this tremendously amazing maps. Love them with total thumbs up!! :steamhappy:
MrMiyagi  [author] 29 Mar, 2016 @ 11:38am
Meadow, that's decoration. You'll find an abandoned lighthouse and other things as well. Bulldoze it if you don't want it.
Thx MrBaltos and bmaske. Yup, tons of shells! Fun if you like shell collecting, but sure hurts the feet! :D
Thx Zake for helping Jakiblue in my absence!
Hiya ticoh99. They are really challenging, it's taken me quite some time to get a handle on how they work, and I'm still not great at it. Here's a let's play, I've not watched it, but it does have good ratings. For these Florida-style canals I use the straight function with snapping on, so it makes right angles https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=85DAvPbLmI0
ticoh99 29 Mar, 2016 @ 3:27am
I wish I knew how you did the canal system like that, mine aren't looking the same~ any suggestions, youtube maybe??
jarret747400 28 Mar, 2016 @ 4:19pm
This is great, especially because I live in about 20 minutes away from here and have visited often.
Zake 27 Mar, 2016 @ 10:41pm
@jakiblue no, they're part of the map
jakiblue 27 Mar, 2016 @ 8:23pm
do we need the intersections by Agusingnavy to play this map? Not sure which of his are needed tho.
sloppyxsteaks 27 Mar, 2016 @ 6:22pm
This is great! We have a condo on the beach down here. Here's to hoping these beaches don't have as many shells as the real Marco!
MrSeveryn 27 Mar, 2016 @ 5:58pm
looks cool, especially fun cause i live in the state

that would pave the way, need to level flat the ground (I made the height to 15), then undo in the editor and smooth:yazdsmile:

O.O Your island is beautiful!! Love it, I like your idea a lot, I like your island decoration even more! :) Thx for sharing
Obi-Wan Kenobi 26 Mar, 2016 @ 11:06am
MrMiyagi I can give you an idea, let's see how I hid the road from sight on my island. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=653286485&searchtext=
MrMiyagi  [author] 26 Mar, 2016 @ 2:57am
Cool! I just made a very big expansion of canals, it seems it's only at the very start that there's a tiny splash, but after that you're right, there aren't any problems
agusingnavy 25 Mar, 2016 @ 1:56pm
@MrMiyagi, all the map is safe to build canals. Imagine I've raised the sea level to place ship routes within the canals, as you know, and back to original sea level, always on play mode. PM next week and then a guide to build canals and not get flooded?
MrMiyagi  [author] 25 Mar, 2016 @ 1:25pm
I just made and put up an image to help with handling the water and canals in the start square area. I meant to make it originally, but I forgot. The currents and everything have been set up so that each need has its own access to a bay: one fresh water intake, one sewer, one small canal connection and then the entire northern shore (that's big!) and its islands are all safe for canals.
MrMiyagi  [author] 25 Mar, 2016 @ 12:54pm
To figure out how to do the canals, just experiment in a new game, with "all unlocked" and "unlimited money" selected, so that you can experiment with them and see how they work. The water flows in at a decent rate. If you get some flooding, wait for a little bit. Every time I make canals I get a little splashback, but not flooding. Where did you put your canals frenchfrank? I'd like to know if there's a problem area. Thanks!
Omnipotent267emu 25 Mar, 2016 @ 12:47pm
i flooded my map because i failed at canals
DERP :(:steamfacepalm:
ScoringStew2 24 Mar, 2016 @ 5:12pm
This is really cool, wish I knew how canals and how they get filled up with water worked in this game lol
MrMiyagi  [author] 23 Mar, 2016 @ 4:25pm
? I'm not sure what you mean by is this real. Subscribe and you shall see that it is real :D I originally tried to make all the land with all the bajillion canals, but it didn't come out right. When the canals came out we finally had a way to make neat, clean waterfront / canalfront properties.
Of course, there aren't major highways coming into nor through Marco of course, nor railroad. Those are all added for gameplay and for people to use their imagination and make it however they like. Either way, I hope you like it!
maxm14201420 23 Mar, 2016 @ 1:49pm
Is this even real? I travel there every summer from Miami. It blows my mind that someone created this map..
MrMiyagi  [author] 23 Mar, 2016 @ 8:03am
Thx TrylanX!
MrMiyagi  [author] 23 Mar, 2016 @ 8:03am
Estero?? Awesome!!! I love it! That's the South of France / Monaco theme. I saw lots of fancy shopping areas in Naples, Florida like I saw in Monaco, so.. I'm trying out that theme. Looks nicer than vanilla tropical
giino 23 Mar, 2016 @ 12:41am
Looks great bro :steamhappy:
mrfdot 22 Mar, 2016 @ 8:28pm
Also what theme are you using? :)
mrfdot 22 Mar, 2016 @ 8:21pm
Yaknow I just uploaded a map like this.
MrMiyagi  [author] 22 Mar, 2016 @ 7:25pm
Indeed, Venice, Florida is just up the coast from this... just past Naples, Florida XD XD
ConureGuy_411 22 Mar, 2016 @ 7:24pm
Which one? haha. I see from the 'original' map pic this could be quite the 'US Venice"!
MrMiyagi  [author] 22 Mar, 2016 @ 7:22pm
oh, duh, :D Well, I posted an open streetmaps image above, so I'll just delete that dumb comment lol
ConureGuy_411 22 Mar, 2016 @ 7:15pm
I would say so, since the content is not available. LOL
MrMiyagi  [author] 22 Mar, 2016 @ 6:44pm
HAHAHA XD I've been keeping up to date with the craziness back in America, so I totally got that joke templeofdoom! Love it! By the way, if you open this and look closely, you will find a few abandoned bunkers! I thought of you when I put those in, sir :D
ConureGuy_411 22 Mar, 2016 @ 5:11pm
This will be a GREAT map to try out those new floodwalls.

I'd imagine Marco will be spending a lot of time on this island now that he has nothing better to do. haha

I'm wondering if the new 'floodwalls' are a pre-cursor to a new DLC for 'disasters'. That is one of the FEW things this game is missing. Scenarios.

Agusingnavy's intersections are a MUST for any map.
