Words can't even begin to describe how much I wanted something like this. It feels like nearly every class has at least one, if not four or more, talent trees that are 100% irrelevant to my build and get completely ignored. This also means some talent categories that COULD potentially be useful are also left completely ignored due to not being worth a very limited talent category to unlock.

I doubt I'll use this on "serious" runs since it's so useful that it feels like cheating, but I'll definitely have some fun trying experimental setups. Thanks!

Okay. Fix is uploaded.
As long as you're on version 1.0.1, it'll be fixed, and it should auto-update when you start ToME.

Just for confirmation, I start with 14 cat points which matches the unlock situation

It will be the same number, stupid mistake on my part, should have it fixed shortly.

I've only unlocked half of the unlockable trees(Stone and Storm).
I'm seeing 2 extra category points and those two schools missing.
How many extra points are you seeing? Is it the same as the number of unlocked trees you have? (Archmage normally provides 9, Race will normally provide 1).

Seems to be an issue with archmage where you recieve a bunch of additional category points (more than you should start off with) but lose access to any achievement locked trees you had access to (Wildfire, Uttercold, Stone)

This is an awesome mod that gives a lot more freedom with character creation/progression while providing a minimal increase in power! It's really great for doing weird builds. Thanks so much for making this!
Examples:
Ever wanted to take rampage as a level 1 cursed or flux and statis as a level 1 paradox mage without being a cornac. Now you can you just have to forgo 2 other paths masteries until later.
Ever had that mastery you started with and have absolutely no intention of putting any skill points into any of the skills, ever. Now you can use it for something that's actually useful for you, (perhaps that extra mastery point you needed for a skill tree from an escort) and if you have two you don't mind forgoing you can even get that escort skill tree at mastery level 1.0.

I should also mention that this mod is compatible with other mods in the sense that classes and races from other mods will also be affected by it. I've tested it with both Midnight and the Inferno class pack.

I didn't even know I wanted this until I saw it.
Thank you.
