Btw, it is a pitty that the castle's appearance doesn't change at the Imperial age in AoE 2. It would give more architectural diversity.
Its quite easy to get started with it.
Ok, I'll do that.
Btw, may I ask which softwares you used to make the castle? I used to mod for Mount & Blade Warband and modelled a lot of castles for it, and now I'd like to start on AoE but it must be very different.
As soon as a mod loses MP compatability it is pointless for me becuase thats all I play!
If you're interested in how they work : in the drs there are slp of each size of flames, different shapes of snow and flags. For each existing building in the data there is a flag graphic : a blank graphic with the flag graphic twice as annex graphics, each of them correctly anchored so that when the garrison graphics is loaded over the building the flags will be on the right spot on the building.
Was I clear ? Not sure but you can always ask me if needed, I might do another university article on that topic :p
Julian - shadow is a fair call, I have now replaced the black shadow with a transparency.
Still excellent work :)
One thing: the top-right block of the castle has roof that is ASSYMETRIC. It looks a bit weird .. if you know what I mean
