Are you planning to add this to the Community Highlander? I think a lot of people like myself are eager to use this with Long War 2. I personally went in and added 2 new primary weapons, 6 new secondary weapons and over 340 new skills from other mods, including Long War 2, to be used in Roulette soldiers only to find out that this doesn't work with Long War 2, and therefore none of the stuff i did would work. Needless to say I was livid, so I emplore you to start working with the Community Highlander if haven't already started. Thank you, and I hope you'll answer my call for help!

For anyone looking for a way to do the Shen's Last Gift mission, I found a workaround. Type into the console "AddItem gremlin_shen 1" without the quotes. This will add a Rov-R into your secondary weapons. Just equip it to one of your gremlin capable soldiers and that soldier will be able to activate the spark. You still need to drag squaddie shen around, but the mission is completeable.

@GrimyBunyip, for me set only Grimy's Highlander Mod, he worked perfectly, but after a patch replacement of .upk file, gives out an error at the start of game.

not really much optimization leverage available to me. It's more likely you have a mod conflict causing anything that seems like lag.

@GrimyBunyip Broken as off controller patch. Game loads without it, but roulettes are just blank characters. Totally understandable if you don't update this as you have your own things going on, but it'd be cool if you let us know if this was getting an update.

@kungpowish Some editing of the ini files lets that happen. I have an INI that also has the LW Spec Ops and LW Samurai in it -- though that may not be worth anything because the mod currently crashes the game.

Is there a way to make it so that the roulette abilities are based on what rank they are? For example, a Roulette Sergeant who can choose between two different classes abilities, but only ones from the Sergeant rank?

I do wish these Modular mods were actually modular.
I only want the secondary weapon edits so I have to erase all data from every other text file in the mod. Be nice if these were just seperate options.

Edit: I seem to have been mistaken. Some of the perks added by the pack are showing up, but most of them don't seem to be (snap shot for example).

I'm using this with the longwar perk pack now, and none of the perks added by it seem to be showing up in roulette soldiers. Anyone else have the same issue?

Got a roulette solider as a mission reward, but appears I can't promote them, as the tree is empty. Any solutions? I'm assuming it's a mod conflict.

As an update, shen shows up with no rover even if I load the game without any mods active. So she seems to be locked in before I even start the mission somehow. My Bradford was fine.

When doing Shen's last gift Lily is a roulette soldier with no abilities, and no rover. This is only important because she can't activate the spark without a rover. Any ideas?

you want to go to trainingroulette.ini and delete psi amps from the secondaryweaponnames array
don't delete anything in the gamedata folder

I'd like to use the training roulette feature of this mod for all my rookies, but disable Psi Amps as a secondary weapon option for Roulette soldiers, and instead train Psi Operatives normally through the Psi Lab. Would deleting all the "Roulette_<primary weapon>_psiAmp" loadouts from XComGameData achieve this? If not, is there another way I could do it?

I have a weird issue where both Shen and Bradford show up as blank classes when I have RouletteAllSoldiersChance = 100 and MakeSoldierAClass doesn't work. Any advice on this?

OK cool. So set everything to false, and delete the lines in the advent/alien dodge ini changes. Means that l should be left with the crit on overwatch chance (player turn), secondary weapon customisation, and the misc points above.

And the morale will power fix naturally.

Checked this out to see if l could use it JUST for the will power fix for the morale mod you made.

So l'm trying to disable the dodge scaling, and l see that you indicate in comments that you have nerfed the dodge PCS to compensate, but not through anything l can change in the ini?

TL:DR - Whats the most straight forward method of using this highlander mod JUSTfor the moral will power fix on promotion?

Alright, I've done some testing on the disappearing Roulette soldiers - I'm not a technical person, so I don't know what conclusions to draw from this, but I can consistently replicate the problem.

Essentially, every single time I load a strategy save after exiting and reloading the game , it breaks all roulette soldiers in the barracks. Reloading a save without closing the game first does not cause the problem, having tried it both from the strategy layer after making the save and from the main menu after exiting to the menu without quitting the game.

This happens regardless of what other mods I have installed, having tried it with my full mod setup, just my class mods (I added many of their perks to the roulette list so I was curious if that was the cause), and nothing but the Highlander, your Console Commands mod, and Quickstart.
