Actually after doing some digging, I have figured out I could do it myself but of course I would like to ask your permission to use your models in the first place.

Odd request. By chance can you make a version of this mod with Black Rooves? Saw another mod similar, but it was for another faction, had a few custom buildings (while nice,) I didn't want and required IA.

I love this set, although I'm not crazy about the archer range texture/color. It seems incongruous with the other buildings.

@Call it Friend - I won't be doing any further work on this Italian set. Byzantines....maybe, if I feel the urge to mod (which at the moment I do not).

A few people have been requesting that I make the Italian building set available for the Goths (I guess they want to do some Ostrogoth scenarios). Do I have permission to make use your building, castle, and tower set for that since it is a major improvement from the original? With all credit given of course.

I'm not quite sure the archery range fits with the other buildings. When built, it looks darker and uses more wood in the visuals of the structure than the other buildings. On another note, the houses look amazing! I love how there are three different styles - it makes cities look much more diverse!

I loved your job! This really improvement the original building set, I enjoyed so much. Will you remake the Feudal Age buildings? Because I think that those need a touch too. Also the Feudal Age houses don't match with the Castle Age houses, is there any chance to get another design for the Castle Age houses?

You guys have a lot of potential and talent, and I think you've done and impressive job, but what saddens me the most is the lack of a "definite/ultimate" retexturing project for the Italian/Portuguese buildings set.
I have to use like a patchwork of three to four different mods for these civilizations, each with their pros, cons, and conflicts; obviously different authors lead to different styles, fragmentation, and so on.
I do totally understand all of you modders have put a lot of effort into your own work, but nonetheless it would be nice one day to see an homogeneous, complete, bug-free project for the mistreated Italians/Portugues, since I fear the original team of developers has moved on nowadays.

I have removed the files from google drive. They are yours now. I think at least the scaffold I take from briton stone gates will be a little helpful. This is your mod and I think it should finished on your own hands.
Not only your mods. I fixed almost all the mods I downloaded from workshop. But now I won't upload them. So don't worry about me. ; )

I actually beleive there is still an AOE2 announcement pending, they have been quite clear that seperate developer teams are working on HD/AoeDE. Plus there is the Steam DB entry for another DLC - balance of probabilities still points to a further expansion of some sort.

Well as it turns out the new project FE was working was in fact NOT aoe2 related. So that brings up the question, after you finish the Byzantine buildings are you returning to this mod again then?

Possibly...but not a priority for me at the moment, even in terms of what modding I do. Keep in mind I mod in my (minimal) spare time as a hobby, hence I do what I feel like at any given time.

Something else to consider. A new DLC is coming, and becuase we already have more civs than we really need, I think its likely we may see different sort of content in this DLC. And in that context, I think an official remaster of the Italian and Slav buildings is highly likely, given how badly they compare to the African and SE Asia sets.

So until I am sure that an official release wont render my efforts moot, I wont be doing anything further on Italians. Byzantines are my focus.

Catbarf i have a question, If the mod is gamedata_x2 file, Why you added it to gamedata_x1 and graphics file, gamedata_x1 and graphics file is for the original version and gamedata_x2 is for the expansions?

I love this Italian Buildings and I subscribed it. but the position of the Monastery's flag is something wrong.
Could you please move the Monastery's anchor point (X: 143 Y: 275) and the Monastary shadow too (X: 149 Y: 51) so the flag is in the correct potion when monks or relics garrison inside the Monastery?

When you replace fortified walls and imperial towers, you can give them a resemblance to the castle! :D

Looks really nice! If you see wrong shadow for feudal age dock, maybe you have a mod that changes western european feudal age dock shadow ... it is the same for both building sets.

Another person made a Trade Workshop that looks on par with these changes. It's in the comments somewhere. Also the Towers are a separate mo which the author said he wants to do AFTER the buildings.
