I agree about Blocks... There are some very crittical shapes misssing from the Blocks that would so icrease design looks, and also funtionality.... How about a basic BOCK DESIGN option were you can take any material, make a block with it, and make the exact shape of the block in: {X, Y, Z} space, and save it with a name under your account, as well as upload it to the library of "BLUEPRINTS" in STEAM too :-) What do you think, and what might you add to that ???

@afederowicz Thanks! This was my first big build that I took on. My goal was a exploration ship inspired by a star trek like design. Multiple decks, different type of rooms, etc. The types of blocks were not as varied as they are now. Very much limited in block designs. But I tried to do something differnet.

P.S. Currently Horizon was on its madien 6 month long mission, but just last month has returned to ZeroG space. Horizon is going thru the ZeroG shipyards for so upgrades so the crew is currently on leave until then. Keep on the look out for the upgraded Horizon in early 2017!

i do have one erk with this ship which is mainly due to game fault than ship fault.

in atmosphere on my server i was running away from a couple of frigates from an opposing faction using this ship as my mobile command center/ mother ship.

as i was flying for my life i did a spiral which resulted in the ship crashing to the ground and skidding to a halt.

i then relealised that this ship is really hard to flip back over in atmosphere with all it's parts undocked and impossible to flip over when they are.

apart from this it's a really nice ship... but sadly is no longer my flagship or will be returning to mothership/mobile command center anytime soon.

@dakrdragon3489 Ya I had alot of fun building Horizon. I really wanted to push the limit of the imagination for this game. I would like to see more ppl take on this modular idea as the possiblities are endless.

Thank you for taking the time to try out Horizon. It was built way before Alpha came around so was quite impressive giving the tools we had.

Again Thank you and feel free to try out some of our other designs!~

Okay, so first off, one of the most technical/immersive builds I've seen thus far. I tested it out on creative and had a bit of a hard time docking the modules but, after it was done it looked amazing. The modules themselves were detailed and amazing looking. I could definitly see a large crew on this thing as it warps in, drops a "pod" off with a crew in it then warp to the next area and does the same thing. I also like where some of the weapons were located on this thing, the artilleray turrets were housed in bunker style areas with a window where the barrels stuck out from. I thought that was a pretty neat design feature. Would love to see a battleship design in the future, maybe something along the Iowa class Battleships lol. Keep up the amazing work.

keep up the good work
amphibiousflea 8 May, 2016 @ 7:47pm
Well you've done a detailed and extremely cool design. will probably start working on my own modular designs soon :D
Jenniphurr  [author] 8 May, 2016 @ 7:33pm
@amphibiousflea Thanks! Horizon was built before the Alpha update was around so I have put Horizon back into the Shipyards for retrofitting. Its a slow process but Horizon-2 will be up and running in the near future.
Also the idea of the texture symbols is a wonderful idea! I wanted to push the boundries of what a ship could do.
amphibiousflea 8 May, 2016 @ 7:23pm
I love your work with horizon, took a while to get module lined up correctly.. maybe try make a target with texture symbol tool so you can line it up easily in first person
Jenniphurr  [author] 28 Apr, 2016 @ 2:33pm
@mitchell16666 I currentaly have Horizon back in the ZeroG Hangers. It is a big undertaking as I have loads of new things to retrofit into it. But I am working on it.

As of now patience is all i can offer, maybe a week? But that might not be realistic. I need to wow you all with Horizon-2

i would love to see a horizon-2 gonna hold of on building it in survival if a new ones coming out otherwise it would just be double the build time/materials

@Jenniphurr How long until we see the new and improved Horizon then?
Jenniphurr  [author] 24 Apr, 2016 @ 5:30am
@Narain This Alpha update has allowed us to revisit all of our ships again. Yes Horizon is currently in the shipyards being refitted and spruced up with all the newest features we can cram in!

I have thought of using hardened steel over the more sensitive areas. But as it increases weight i am still unsure. So If you have any input feel free to let us know~

Also thank you for the kind words!
Narain 23 Apr, 2016 @ 11:45pm
So, I absolutely love this ship, But I was just wondering are you planning on doing a CV like this horizon in completely Hardened Steel?
Jenniphurr  [author] 6 Apr, 2016 @ 2:48pm
Thanks! Ya I really needed to test it more in the practical areas.

Thanks for the input ill try to refine it a bit more in the power area. I'm not going to lie I really just wanted this ship to be done. I think I have been working on this thing off and on for about 3 months. So any suggestions would be wonderful!

Also I am curious, did you dock the Crew Modules and try out the Cargo Door? I find them really easy to install just curious what others think of their design.
xSavagex 6 Apr, 2016 @ 2:03pm
Not going to lie, this ship freaking sick, I love the design, but as far a praticality, you may have over done it on the generators, I dont feel a ship this size needs to be putting out 1270 MW lol, at full speed on a planet i was using about 60MW, but it looks beautiful :steamhappy:
Jenniphurr  [author] 4 Apr, 2016 @ 6:19pm
Thanks, I am really glad that you are enjoying the ZeroG designs! We are working on mulitiple projects for the last few months. Stay tuned for more!
Whiskey23 4 Apr, 2016 @ 5:34pm
Very impressive design. I've enjoyed Zero-G designs and I check back often for new designs. Can't wait to take this one out for a spin!

Horizon is here!
