So if I use Digi's helmet mod I just need to be in a pressurised room with my helmet off?

I got what @TIGeR was saying. Is a conflict with Digi's helmet mod. Since the helmet piece in that mod is an ingame object that floats right over the viewpoint of the character, when a player uses your turret control mod to target what he/she is looking at, the mod targets the helmet and it crashes, both client and DS. We ran the test in our dedicated server.

Yeah they do. Not really sure what it is, but the turrets dont need ammo. I'll hop in and check if it works with a regular turret in the same save.

Do the energy weapons have scripting components, there is a possibility of a mod collision. The error is happening in the main game thread though.

It happens every time I release the ctrl button while using a turret. Could it be that it's because I use the energy turrets/weapons?

huh, it seems every time i quit space spaceengineers for a month or so someone has modded in the feature that made me quit by the time i get back.

KC, pray the devs actually add a zoom function to turrets?

Maybe i can look into allowing camera blocks to target as well - no promises though.

Is there a way to target systems with a camera as well as a turret? Currently I cannot see what I am targeting because there is no zoom and I can't see what system I'm aiming at when at range. I just keep randomly targeting different systems that I don't want too while trying to target turrets.

Actually it is in my collision with the modification "Helmet - first person helmet glass with 3D HUD" script tracks an helmet on and off the game off :) modification of the helmet restored the proper operation of this modification.

They target any non-armor block. Thrusters for example do not have computer components but this mod will target and shoot them.

Can you have the turrets target any block (such as armor) or would they have to be blocks
that turrets would normally target that contain electronics?

Unfortunately, after the last update modification closes the game after trying to exit from view when the camera will use the ctrl key :(

(by combat with fighters, I mean it would make fighters attacking turreted vessels even more gimped than they are, balance-wise)

It is a camera on a turret but the mod was made by making it actually a wepaon, it shoots "bullets" with 0 damage.

Should work perfectly for this mod. :)

Awesome stuff, always hoped to see something like this from keen by the time now. But whatever... They are busy with optimization.
A dream come true would be a cannon control like in World of Warships, however that is a bit much to ask for... :)

At one point there were only a couple mod authors that I really watched with great interest, but with the mods you've been releasing recently, you have been added to my list of mod creators who seem to fundamentally change the game in a good way.

It's amazing there is not field of view control for turrets. I mean how does the game know what to show on the screen when viewing a turret? It has to be there somewhere.

Is there still no way to add zoom when controlling a turret? It is really hard to tell what you are targeting quickly unless you are within rock throwing distance from your tarket, or the target is really big and all the things you want to target are really spread out.

Probably, they seem to ignore them in vanilla unless there are no terminal blocks to shoot.
