that would be great, so long as they have food they can make their resources, and with more creatures theres more options to make some more animals create things. like maybe taming a diplocaulus can produce leech blood. ^_^ I know it will be a lot of work and take some time, and i encourage you take as much time as you need. The Dev Kit will be updating again soon with even more creatures and the winter event coming too, so lots of exciting things on the way ^_^

@kisston I will have to make a different mod, since the dev kit deleted the original files for this mod. How would you all feel about having pet's craft more like the Achatina, meaning that they no longer need a reagent to "cook" their items?

@Protech I have not been able to test on SE, but I believe it won't work. The mod depends on the map having the same spawn zones as TheIsland. I will see if there is a fix for this.

Yup, built a little pen and set the scorpion loose with 200 Spoiled meat. It didn't have the "can turn 2 spoiled meat into narcotics" though. and this was,still is, after a few dino wipes

Are these dinos supposed to spawn naturally and replace the current ones? I even did a dino wipe and force tamed 2 new scorpions, neither one had the "can turn 2 spoiled meat into narcotics"

@Everyone The mod is now fully stackable, and it works with any dino overhaul/variant mods. The items that the pets craft will also now stack.

Yeah put it at the top of the list... Destroyed all wild dino's... Spawned in a turtle. Still nothing. I'm sorry but for now I'm just going to remove it. It might be conflicting with some of my other mods or something. But the one's I have right now I wouldn't want to play with out.

@Cutechristy Pet Craft usually has to be first in the mod order, and is not compatible with any other dino variant/enhancement/replacement mods at this time.

That being said, the spawn commands should spawn one of the dinos from Pet Craft. These dinos should have a description in their inventory like the one pictured in the images.

Alright so just loaded the game back up with the updated mod. Used the command destorywilddions.

Used, cheat spawndino "Blueprint'/Game/Mods/PetCraft/Turtle_Character_BP_PC.Turtle_Character_BP_PC'" 1 1 1 10 (lowered lvl for sake of taming speed)

Knocked it out using tranq arrows and fed it kibble.

Still no instructions. Still no production. Not sure where to go from here as there's no error messages or anything popping up. It's like the mod isn't loaded at all. Though I have double checked to make sure it is.

It is at the bottom of the mod list so if that could be causing the problem let me know and I'll reogranize it.

Pet Craft has been rebuilt with the new version of the dev kit. Please download the new version, and update your game/server, and then use the command: destroywilddinos in your game/server console to get a new pet crafter.

I also appear to be having this same problem. I would like to be able to use this but right now nothing I do seems to be helping. And the three turtles I've tamed/spawned in using the code do not have any information about crafting in their inventory/description.

Done, and still don't work, I've literally delete the map's files and use the command to clear it anyway, I've spawn a Quetzal to easily move the one I tammed easilly and equipment to tame them (Long and dart) in god mode but no "forcetame" and they are still not having any instructions and after 15 minutes they did not produce anything, I had 2 Tortle, 2 Scorpions, 2 wolfs and a Rhino in wandering in a large place (the top of the mountain on Lat 43 long 37.

@Demongornot Can you try using the cheat: destroywilddinos on your game/server and then try taming one of the pet crafters.

I have test it again and I confirm the mod don't work, on "The ARK" map with no other mods and only some script on my Game.ini that ONLY change level and engrams points.
Two wild scorpions tamed with god mode but with regular methode using tranq dart and spoiled meat, a third one spawned manually using the same line as "Major" and still tamed on a normal way, they did not had any instruction on their inventory and after letting them wandering in a big enough place for way more than 15 mins, they did not had anything, I also tried with a Turtle in the same time and also nothing, their spoiled meat/sparkpowder was still untouch and produced no narcotics or chitin/keratin...

@Sargon... The crafting time can be set from zero to infinity in the gameusersetting.ini. See the Support page for information on how to do that.

Exact, since we can find vanilla one in the official wiki, having something that won't force us to have 2 things in plus of the game on the screen/side screens, I was thinking about something like recipe or other note, maybe in all dino inventory after taming them, but well we can write them ourself anyway.
I've test your mod and it don't work, I'll need to put it higher in the mod list I guess (I run a lot of mods so some conflict might prevent it, but I can't put it first.).
I had a Toad in wandering with around 50 Chitin (and his food) in it for about 30 minutes, and no Cementing Paste, I have tame it after installing this mod and i've find it not spawn it.
Or maybe I need to load this feature to wild dino by using the "DestroyWildDinos" line ?

@Demongornot are you asking if there is a way to get an in game list of which creature crafts what in Pet Craft? If so, no. The only way to see what a pet can craft in game is to read it's inventory description.

This is more like tool for harveresting than something which will be transformed !
This is different from how the Dung Beetle transform feces, it would have been practical if you written your variant of how this is done, and congratulation for finding those !

A question, is there any way in game to get the list of which creature give what from what ?

@Demongornot Thank you for the suggestions.

Pet Craft was designed to take enhance a pet's ability to produce items that it naturally would from specific "instigator" resources.

A megalodon would produce teeth constantly throughout it's lifetime. Oil just loosen up it's teeth, and make them more likely to fall out.

Penguins produce blubber, so angler gel may cause it to become electrically charged and turn into organic polymer.

An wolf shed it's fur, so an abrasive charcoal will lossen up the fur and make it also shed.

Insects use "pheromones" to communicate. Some of those pheromones act as a repellant to other insects.

Fungi grow in moist, warm conditions, like the pouch of a Procoptodon. A rare flower may have the right chemical compound to start the growth of a fungi.

I could go on, but, as you can see, the Pet's don't "use" resources to create items, they are induced by resources given to them to create items they would already normally create.

Angler : Organic Polymer/Oil -> Angler Gel
Direwolf : Vegetables/Keratin -> Pelt
Kairuku : Hide/Keratin -> Organic Polymer
Megalodon : Stone/Flint -> Shark Teeth
Procoptodon : Crystal -> Rare Mushroom
Rhino : Keratin/Organic Polymer -> Rhino Horn
Spider : Chitin/Keratin -> Cemantic Paste
Frog : Rare Flower/Vegetables -> Bug Repellent
Turtle : Fiber/Organic Polymer -> Keratin
Arthropluera : Spoiled Meat -> Chitin

Of course those are only my suggestions and you do as you want, but IMHO they are more realistic/RP Friendly.
And sorry for the spam but this is hard to describe those things in a single comment and the 1000 character limit force me to cut in several parts...

For the Frog, Spoiled Meat for Bug Repellent is not logic since most bug in Ark love Spoiled Meat, Narcotic or Pelt to stay close to the recipe, and based on real life home recipe for bug repellent, rare flower and/or vegetables can also work.

Turtle should only give Keratin as real life Turtle Shell are mainly made of Keratin, and to make it, Fiber is perfect, but Organic Polymer can also work !

If you want to add Chitin, the Arthropluera and Spoiled Meat is a perfect duo, not only they eat Spoiled Meat as their main food, but because they are so big and have an incredible armor, they probably need to create a lot of Chitin to constantly regenerate their exosqueleton !

Spider and Toad should be inverted in what they give, why a bug will make bug repellant is not really logical Mainly knowing that spider usually wait that other insect come close to catch them...Toad who live in Swamp with tons of leech could actually naturally use it, Bull Frog actually create naturally insect repellent to get mosquito away, Cemantic Paste is created when he hunt and we can already do it with the saddle anyway
And for their web, Spider definitively could use Cemantic Paste.

For the Spider, the Chitin/Keratin will fit perfectly, insect are basically made of Chitin, or at least their exosqueleton, so giving him some to help will probably result web creation, we can concider that the glue part of their web could be used as Cemantic Paste.
Same for Keratin which is actually part of their web, but in real life Chitin have a key role, but Keratin also work fine.

Kairuku, for a scientific and realistic point of view could transform what in real life contain organic polymer into those organic polymer paste such as wood (not the best here), hide, pelt or keratin.

Megalodon will need more logical material to grow his teeth, even pearl are more logical or charcoal for the carbon, but for a more scientific point of view, stone/flint for their mineral value are a good candidate for that.

Procoptodon that could actually harvest both, but how could he transform a flower into a mushroom ? Since they can be found while mining Crystal, why not giving him Crystal, as if we tell him where to look to get them ? There is no other logical transformation for that...

Rhino won't really do anything with Crystal, but Keratin is the perfect thing for that, for real Rhino, their horn are mainly made of Keratin, organic polymer are also a potentially good candidate if you want !

I mean, one a Direwolf could turn charcoal into pelt ?

If I can suggest you some more logical items (no quantity given, I give you the balance management) :

Angler is not bad with pearls, but organic polymer or oil is more logical to create a gel which produce electricity, this is a more logical organic transformation, but pearl could still work.

Direwolf will produce pelt by hunting, so food which attract mamals which give those pelt seem logic, Vegetables could be a great choice for that, as if it attract mamals who eat vegetables which are actually every mamal that give pelt except Direwolf and Direbear who unlike modern Bears don't show any proof of vegetable consumption, and anyway wolf won't attack those monster.
And for its own Pelt, well Keratin is perfect since Pelt exactly like hairs is mainly made of Keratin.
