Why does this Rome create protestantism?

One of the few greats ever to have genuinely shaped the world for thousands of years. Nice work.

If you use Tomatekh's excellent Historical Religions mods, the default religion for this Civ appears to be .. Lutheranism? In one of my recent games, this Civ had first pick (while Eastern Orthodoxy was still available), and the AI went for that. It's also a weak AI opponent, as in two recent games I played (with Community Balance Patch) it ended up a quickly diminished competitor. The AI doesn't seem to be able to handle its strengths. Other than that, no bugs: stable mod.

The civ is not showing up

what is the capital for this mod. I'm thinking of doing a YNAEMP game soon.

Lucinius ( Alexander) of the Eastern Roman Empire is a thorn in my side for the scenario. campanion calvary are no match however for my prize ship legions (all romes start with legion units which as constantine means half of my swordsmen are legions (the other half are frontline walls i dont care about.

currently testing a new map. Which is modified fall of rome. There are about 15 factions.
Eastern Roman Empire; Alexander (hes pagan)
Roman Empire; Default Rome (italy/africa
Constantine; england, france, spain
Celt; scotland and ireland
franks (close to gaul)
persia (far larger than in in fall of rome)
Arabia; (the woman led one, anyways they have the unique ability of not being in permawar
visigoths and ostrogoths are neighbors
germans occupy scandinavia (the small part ingame)
huns (cause nomads)
alans (numidia)
armenia (team with rome)
vandals (south of tingis)
nubians

DerigarsChairman 18 May, 2017 @ 4:18pm
why not simply have a line of code that gives Constantine the default roman legion and ballista?
Hugus Heliodorus Glycias 4 Oct, 2016 @ 3:16pm
Could your mod be linked to the mod adding 3rd and fourth unique components? This Rome could receive those new components.
DerigarsChairman 26 Aug, 2016 @ 9:23am
hey JFD long time no see, im doing a crisis of the third century scenario. I'll make the map later but, i have the unit fix complete (each civ get like 6 total units), however im trying to give your Roman Scenario the UA of the default rome with the following line of code (seperate somewhere else and there seems to be an issue) The Palymra part seems to work however the part for this mod has an issue. I'm letting these civs keep default UA as well considering that they both will have far less land than the Central Romans

Xangelo7 19 Jun, 2016 @ 4:52pm
is there a mod 60 or 43 civ dll compatible to the community patch?
Tranquil J. Silence Esq. 17 May, 2016 @ 9:13am
@Byrinthion, Macedon under Alexander III will be part of More Civs upcoming Greek Split
Emperorm Ormik I 17 May, 2016 @ 4:16am
Thank you JFD! You are by far the best Civ modder out there, I salute to You.

@Tick'nBomb He also did that for his UK w/ George V.
JFD  [author] 16 May, 2016 @ 6:56pm
@Emperor Ormik I; Alikalix Done.
Capitulation 14 May, 2016 @ 7:15pm
wait nvm, it was mussolini sorry
Capitulation 14 May, 2016 @ 7:14pm
please remove the requirement of the community patch. you did that for your stalin mod i think.
Emperorm Ormik I 14 May, 2016 @ 6:55am
I agree with Alikalix.
Alikalix 14 May, 2016 @ 4:57am
Please, make one without requiement of CP.
ApeGodMassive 11 May, 2016 @ 8:02pm
JFD is there any chance that you may work on a mod for Macedon under Phillip or Antigonus? I've waited for that mod for a long time and no one does it better than you, so maybe you could follow Constantine's Rome with Phillip's Macedon?
Darth Astzetuk 1 May, 2016 @ 1:30pm
I do love all the added things in the community patch, but can you not make it mandatory to play this civ cuz it crashes my game every couple of turns. Yes it could be that I have too many mods active...but i didnt have this problem until i installed the community patch.
JFD  [author] 24 Apr, 2016 @ 2:32pm
@Xangelo7 Gazebo is working on a 43 civ DLL.
Xangelo7 24 Apr, 2016 @ 2:31pm
but like 43 civs mod wont work with cp
JFD  [author] 24 Apr, 2016 @ 2:29pm
@Xangelo7 The Emigration mod doesn't require a DLL, AFAIK.
Xangelo7 24 Apr, 2016 @ 2:27pm
but there is mod that are not compatible like 43 civs, emigration
JFD  [author] 24 Apr, 2016 @ 1:48pm
@Xangelo7 It only requires the CP.
Xangelo7 24 Apr, 2016 @ 10:19am
pls make this civ not require CBP
marisa tomei 23 Apr, 2016 @ 2:51pm
it seems cool by its so complicated to get it to even start working
Tranquil J. Silence Esq. 23 Apr, 2016 @ 10:51am
@LORENZZO Actually, it's technically possible that Phillip the Arab (Marcus Julius Phillipus, ruled from 244-249) was the first Christian Roman Emperor - though Constantine was certainly the first to claim conversion officially AFAIK
TheAngryReaper AU 22 Apr, 2016 @ 5:39pm
@jayjaymrine57 the Hastati were only 1 of 5 divisions of the Roman army, (and were only present during the period before the Marian reforms) they were the youngest and/or poorest men in the army and were equipped in a way that reflected that. the Triarii were the backbone, the oldest, most experienced and heavily armed soldiers. Princepes were the middle ground and the common Roman Legion that we all know today was based off of that particular division. so if anything, it should be Principes, yet thats irrelevent as Augustus and Constantine were both after the Marian reforms (to my knowledge) and therefore wouldnt have such soldiers to command in the first place.
Zappsz 22 Apr, 2016 @ 5:25pm
Butchered the "In Hoc Signo Vinces" in the video haha
林孝家 22 Apr, 2016 @ 12:54am
请问怎么更新啊?
jmarine5 21 Apr, 2016 @ 6:53pm
if i may the roman unique unit should be the hastati because they were the heart, body , and soul of the roman army
Coolplay 21 Apr, 2016 @ 12:18am
don't work on mac :(
BigDaddyBulge 20 Apr, 2016 @ 11:05am
@❅ Ice Demon ❅ What DLC do you have? I might play some after work if you still want to.
❅ Ice Demon ❅ 20 Apr, 2016 @ 8:32am
Anyone want to freind me and play online?
SG 20 Apr, 2016 @ 4:48am
@kyMagnus no constantine lived in a time when there were multiple emporers. He fought the others and took the hole empire for himself. He also was the first christian emperor.
kaywye 20 Apr, 2016 @ 2:56am
is this a fantasy faction? why is italy "added by 312 A.D." to the empire?
Neirai the Forgiven 19 Apr, 2016 @ 8:33pm
This may have just trumped your Armenia for my most favorite faith-based UA. Many salutes!
Weboh 18 Apr, 2016 @ 7:43pm
Wonders produce great person points every turn! I've played for 200 hours and not noticed this...! Just like citizen management, this has changed my life! And people say Civ V doesn't have enough depth...
JFD  [author] 18 Apr, 2016 @ 2:42pm
@frankman129 You just need the CP, not the CBP. Also, this ain't YouTube.
JFD  [author] 18 Apr, 2016 @ 2:40pm
@Tecnogos Philip II coming up soon.
JFD  [author] 18 Apr, 2016 @ 2:40pm
@Weboh It produces Great General points just like a Wonder produces any other Great Person point (i.e. each turn), so destroying it would be pointless.
frankman129 18 Apr, 2016 @ 2:18pm
Mr. JFD - while I have subscribed to many of your excellent mods, I do find it quite annoying that recent mods from you REQUIRE CBP! I think CBP sux, and I will no longer subscribe to your mods as long as that requirement is in effect.
Mr. Meeseeks 18 Apr, 2016 @ 11:30am
Man, would totally get this if not for the required community patch.
Weboh 18 Apr, 2016 @ 11:24am
So the Triumphal arch could theoretically be built and demolished multiple times in unoccupied cities to keep getting more Great General points? Or is that not how GPPs work?
Bonus Soda! 18 Apr, 2016 @ 11:06am
But what if I don't want the community patch?
Tekudachi 18 Apr, 2016 @ 4:44am
Can you make Felipe II of Spain or Trajano of Rome? please
Satanâss 17 Apr, 2016 @ 6:26pm
JFD best moder ever 2k should hire you and kick the others:CapitalDome:
BigDaddyBulge 17 Apr, 2016 @ 5:49pm
@JFD http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=528034 - This is the link that says it requires all DLC except the map packs, I'm assuming it still does require all dlc even though the post is from 2014. This is the page I went to for instructions on how to install the Community Patch, in case some people have problems installing.
