Hows about some balancing for the coop maps? Being rushed by 3 scouts and 3 grizzlies before i can get my first gun tower up is fucking ridiculous.

Hello There!
So i do not know why... but i can only get Altar to play right for me... all the other maps will have super choppy audio for like 60 sec and then it basically auto fuck ups and closes it self.... Is it possible maybe its a mod on me or bc im using windows 10? I enjoy your mods dude they are hardcore af I almost beat altar (venus) on very hard but would love to play the others... much respect if replied too :)

This is an awesome addition to the BZ Redux! Thank you ScrapPool!

Love these maps! Thanks so much for your hard work. Every time my friend and I play one of them, though, our session disconnects. Still haven't gotten to finish a match, but we've only tried three of your strategy maps so far. We don't have this problem on the vanilla maps.

I was looking at the Lua for the arena maps and I noticed there is more factions than just the cca, nsdf, bdog and fury avalible. Are those part of a work in progress. Or an opening for others to expand on the maps. And just one final question. The lua. isnt map specific, it seems that as long the map lua. refrences the proper path names each will port over to a new map. So that in mind what kind of map is Arena? usrmsn, multdm? I ask because, well I'd like to make one.

Thank you for what you've done ScrapPool, I appreciate it.
ScrapPool  [author] 13 Aug, 2016 @ 1:56pm
Yes, that can be done with these maps (MPI gametype). You might find a bug or strange thing here or there but by in large they should work well!
Lunethex 12 Aug, 2016 @ 11:21pm
I never dabbled in multiplayer for this game back in the day. Reading your description gives me hope in assuming that this allows a group of friends to play against the AI in the game's main aspects (building bases, squaring off etc).

Can that be done with these maps? Because that would be really cool.

good maps exactly what this game needs :steamhappy:

With the help of Potato_047 and Ded10c, Felix Venus has been returned from the realm of dead maps and made the jump to BZR. Big thanks to these Heracles Brigaders!

Thanks! Time for some compstomp!
ScrapPool  [author] 24 Apr, 2016 @ 11:25am
Ilay, don't feel stupid! To enable skirmish, first start a skirmish map (listed above as "(A)") through the multilayer menus, then, in chat type (without quotes): "/bots nsdf" (or instead of "nsdf" you can type "cca", "bdog", or "fury"). This will spawn ai bots of that faction type. Type "/difficulty 3" ("3" can be any number 1-10) to change the number of bots that spawn per player. Be aware that bots can currently be quite buggy, especially with a bad connection (you may see ghost tanks- I'm trying to fix it!), but they definitely work perfectly for a local game. Good luck!

I feel a bit stupid for asking. But.. how to skirmish? I want to play against bots. Is it possibe without inviting friend first?

Aye, for downloading i mean subscribing, my bad ^_^'. And no, im unable to see the textures when launching maps for MP. (Tried the omega squadron subs first alone and then also by subscribing deus worlds maps...and the same for both situations, cant see any textures)
ScrapPool  [author] 23 Apr, 2016 @ 1:18pm
SK, there actually aren't any Elysium or Ceres maps in this pack. I just confirmed that the two Ganymede maps in Omega Squad are working properly from the workshop. By "downloading" do you mean subscribing? I noticed that if I subscribed to Deus' World Pack, then copied textures to my BZR addon and launched a custom world from the addon folder, I couldn't see the textures. Is that what you're doing? Or are you unable to see the textures when launching maps for MP?

The textures are currently working for me when I launch Ganymede maps from the MP shell.
Sk-8080 23 Apr, 2016 @ 1:06pm
Cant see the textures on any Ganymede, Elysium and my guess also is Ceres map...tried downloading the textures on the workshop and nothing then clean uninstall, reinstalling everything and downloading all the stuff over again but still no solution. Any idea what it may be? Thanks in advance :3

I saw. The Felix Venus crash seems to be due to BZR being unable to handle 8x8 maps (which makes me feel dumb, because the actual play area is much much smaller than the total map size). This is interesting, because BZ1.5 can handle it just fine. I wonder what changed?
[OSF]Cothonian 23 Apr, 2016 @ 11:57am
Also ScrapPool just a heads up, Felix Venus is crashing on start up, I'll keep you posted as I test more maps.

10/10, some of the best strat maps BZ has ever seen. Felix Venus FTW

The maps in this pack are absolutely wonderful. I can't put into words how accurate the description of them being "new, natural, and familiar" is and how great they are on their own. The commands offer unparallelled functionality and customization, giving me the game I want. Soooo good! :)
ScrapPool  [author] 22 Apr, 2016 @ 9:27pm
Great question DustRider- aiBuild.lua, as a separate script, can be required for other maps with a few function calls in the map .lua to get the AI working for that map. It's a little bit brittle at the moment, however, so I'm trying to make sure everything is working well before moving on to the other planned MPI maps!
DustRider 22 Apr, 2016 @ 8:00pm
These are intense! Its great that BZ Redux realy brings it out. Can the AiBuild.lua placed on additional maps or will it require specific scripting for each new map?
ScrapPool  [author] 22 Apr, 2016 @ 3:42pm
The Deus Ex was kind enough to remove Hills of War from the Ganymede World pack so that it could be added to this pack. If you haven't already, go check it out ! I understand the world pack will getting a new map!

Omega Squadron was one of the best mods for the original game and it's wonderful to see it coming back for Battlezone 98 Redux. This pack currently only contains two of its maps - Craters (DM) and Unleashed (MPI) - but will be expanding to contain a whopping total of 24 multiplayer maps, eight of which will be brand new.

Not only are we getting ports here, we're also seeing the arrival of something the Steam Community board has been buzzing with requests for since release; lua-enhanced Aciton-MPI maps rigged for co-operative horde mode / skirmish play. These maps are made completely configurable through a combination of over 30 console commands, which between them allow you to vary your game from bog-standard PvP deathmatch to almost any imaginable combination of wave survival, bot deathmatch or endless multiplayer rave party.

This is fantastic; some of the best maps Battlezone has ever seen with near-infinitely configurable action play. You can't afford to not subscribe to this.
