hahahah indeed.
Well your pathfinder was one of the best ships boanerges.

Deadschism, yeah afking in single is a bad idea XD
Yuni_A child  [author] 14 Apr, 2017 @ 5:21am
Ok guys i see wath i can do... That is waht you get by making ships in adevelopment game...
Dead Schism 14 Apr, 2017 @ 12:28am
Can do. I'll try to keep the profile of the ship along with cost as close to the original as possible. They interior layout will definitely need to be changed but my overall plan is to keep the small docking port on top of the ship and have a ground level door for easy access from the ground. I can't guarantee it will look exactly the same on the exterior but I'll go for as close as possible. On a side note, when typing up something in the workshop and playing an SP game at the same time, don't forget to pause the SP game otherwise a random drone will wander by and scare the crap out of you when it makes it's little "I found you" sound lmao.
Commander_Black 13 Apr, 2017 @ 9:14pm
well, a straight conversion would be alot of work for only 2 or 3 weeks.
i prefer to wait and give you more time to work on the 6.0 design ^^
Dead Schism 13 Apr, 2017 @ 6:09pm
*FACEPALM* I just remembered the warp drive. That alone will kill the entire design when the new game mechanics hit public release. I may be able to get a work around for it but that will require some serious modifications to the layout of the ship. Things like moving the entire docking bay forward and replacing the rear entrance with a forward entrance and so on. Basically all the heat and radiation generating parts will need to be moved to the back of the ship so you don't die of heat stroke just walking in. I can do a strait up block conversion that will work for 5.5.1 but as soon as experimental features go public, that ship will no longer be viable in it's current state. So here's the question... Since nobody really knows how long it will be before these features are implimented, do you want a pure block conversion or are you willing to wait on a total redesign to keep it survival ready for the new game mechanics?
Dead Schism 13 Apr, 2017 @ 5:56pm
Well my plans are to update the structural blocks only but to keep it ready when 6.0.5 features hit the public release, I'll have to move the door from the open bay on top so you dont die of heat stroke getting in to the ship lol. I also plan on bnuilding it out of hardened steel to make it a little more survivable and a little cheaper than strait up combat steel. The exterior will be a mirror image of the original minus the repositioned top side door due to future game mechanics being implimented and also using a single T2 RCS which only costs a little more than the T1 and still only a level 10 requirement.
Commander_Black 13 Apr, 2017 @ 5:16pm
@Dead Schism, if you can keep it as small and manage to keep the little spot on roof for the atarrack, ill be very interested. its been my main cv for a year and i was sad when it broke.
Dead Schism 13 Apr, 2017 @ 5:00pm
I'll see if I can rebuild it from scratch. I'll build one for 5.5.1 and another for 6.0.5. The latter of the 2 will have a pressurized cabin and I'll see if I can fit at least some medical equipment in there along with a repair station and armor locker but don't hold me to it lol.
Commander_Black 16 Mar, 2017 @ 2:44am
boanerges could you maybe please update it sometime?
its been my main ship...My only ship XD since you posted it.
but now when i try to spawn it it says there is some old blocks on it that arent in the game anymore or something.
Commander_Black 24 Dec, 2016 @ 12:49am
could use an update but it remains the best cv available for those seeking small mobile base or mobile turret system to protect mining operations ^^
Eleazaros 23 Dec, 2016 @ 10:07pm
Very antiquated ship, but a nice design. If you do choose to download it, make sure you replace (as in destroy and replace) the cannons on it. They are very old models (own icon in your inv) and have issues working on planets.
LukeStrike 14 Dec, 2016 @ 4:39pm
Great ship instead the fact that the interior is a real mess :p F.E. why is the core on the right side instead of the center ? Too exposed I think so why this choice ? Same for generators placed humm ... anywhere ? So I will change it to fit my own preferences ;)

But the problem is not there. The fact is it was build before 4.x. So all the hull blocks are still in ... (Grey). I used the console command: replaceblocks <id> hull hullfulllarge so they are now Steel Block L so I can upgrade them if I want to. But ...

THIS ONLY WORKED FOR THE "CUBES" :/ Not for the slopes, half blocks, etc :/ And there is a ton of them on this ship :/

I've been trying to edit the BP file but it is unreadable (I was hoping it was written in XML but that's not the case)

Any clue someone to convert this ship into a 4.x version ? I don't want to replace every block by hand :(

Sael 7 Dec, 2016 @ 7:17am
This along with the Atarrack have been my bread and butter for a good start. Nice design and you have more nice designs I am going to give a try... :steamhappy:
mikekap99 7 Aug, 2016 @ 9:06am
Great little starter ship. Just big enough to get you out of the system and make it so you can gather the advanced resources needed for a bigger vessel upgrade.

The ability to attach the Atarrack is great, a neat little complimentary fighter.
ArnMan 1 Aug, 2016 @ 3:03pm
Nice CV! I am not using it for fighting so I removed all but one RCS, removed 2/3 of the thrusters, added 2 T2 fuel tanks and redesigned the rear entrance slightly (straight up to the top hatch instead of offset elevators). It is now a very fuel effecient exploration CV but with the original nice design. Having a blast with it. Thanks!
Fynnmous 11 Jul, 2016 @ 7:30pm
In my game, I just replaced the rear static ramp with one of the new ones and it works like a charm. Looks great too.
DEFEARR 3 Jul, 2016 @ 12:18pm
I just love this ship I been flying her for the last 5 wipe with no issue, mining Z and E. Plus I just added more storage for my ingots and that was it, but the new blocks make her a beast.
Commander_Black 27 May, 2016 @ 5:01am
there is alot of random bugs and glitches yet in this game that are cause by so many different unknown reasons, my guess is that you were victim of on of thoses. but i strongly suggest you sumit your story and the screenshots attached to it to the bug section for the devs.
Might help them make sure it doesnt happen anymore.
m1nd7r1p 26 May, 2016 @ 11:27pm
Thanks for the info Arrawn. Not sure what's causing this; I'll try your suggestion when I have time, if I can't find another fix.
Commander_Black 26 May, 2016 @ 7:05pm
the problem seems to be on your ship only, cuz i havent had any issues with my 4 pathfinders with each 1 attarack docked in it on my 1st server and on my 2nd server i just built one today and had no problemjs either to dock it

maybe you shouyld try dismantle it and rebuilt a new one to see if it persist
m1nd7r1p 26 May, 2016 @ 5:43pm
So I'm having a problem since the newest dev update docking the Attarack to the Pathfinder. In short, I simply can't dock in the open bay now, the Attarack won't land. It's as if there are invisible blocks in the way, I've taken screenshots to show the problm but am not sure how to upload them here. The nose of the Attarack will *almost* touch down, but the rear remains elevated as if it's hitting something, but it's not; I can walk completely around the Attarack and it's not touching a thing, it just won't land/dock. I thought perhaps it was the thin armor tiles underneath so I removed all of them but it didn't fix the problem. Is anyone else seeing this problem or know how to fix it?
Mr Jay 8 May, 2016 @ 5:56am
Nice ship! I wish we could dock CV to CV. Id love to have this as a mobile base ship.
skinny 5 May, 2016 @ 2:08pm
Отличный CV, Экономный, небольшой и всё необходимое есть.
ﮱﮔutex 3 May, 2016 @ 10:52pm
Have changed this a bit , added heaps of fuel cells med bay , Ammon box and guns , taken off 4 main engines at back , and some side thrusters , Fuel use ,time is now much better

Taken out the Grav gen. no room , with the changes

@Arrawn--clever, didn't think you'd be able to dock another SV to it, let alone two HV! I don't have any friends who play this game, so thus far it hasn't been an issue. Last night I did a bunch of modification to this ship, I moved the passenger seats toward the front by the constructor, then widened out two 'pods' on either side where the passenger seats were and created two 3x3 farm areas. The wider space also allowed me to add 4 more refrigerators (I had already put in a 2nd fridge by the warp tank) and 7 more cargo boxes as part of the walls for the farm, so now I have plenty of storage as well.

I wish there was a class of ship that a CV could dock to; it would be nice to have an orbiting docking platform with a farm and warp drive, that this could dock to (with all smaller vessels docked to it), and then be able to warp it all to another planet. Having an advanced constructor on the planet with your SV is pretty important so you can craft ammo or T2 tools/weapons needed!
Commander_Black 29 Apr, 2016 @ 12:35pm
@ M1nd7r1p since you use it the same way i do you might consider (if youve got a partner) crafting a 2nd atarack and dock it on the nose of the CV, where it wont be in the way of the cannons ^^ i even docked 2 mini HV on the wings, wich gives me 2 sv and 2 hv on a mobile base. the perfect setup lacking only a farm as you said. but since i raid mostly planets with wild life, a farm isnt a must as i survive from hunt and canned food found in ennemy bases.
m1nd7r1p 29 Apr, 2016 @ 11:57am
I do really like this CV ship, and use it much in the way Arrawn does--it's so small and agile, it acts as a mobile base on a planet, and with the paired SV I can set it down, then use the SV for nearby mining/hunting/raids, returning frequenly with spoils until I'm done in an area. I like the open landing bay for the SV, a smart idea since internal landing bays don't really give any added benefit--still have to wear your helmet in a CV unless the devs ever implement enclosed shell and airlock mechanics. I'm considering some mods to move interior parts around and actually create a 6x3 farm area--the only thing it really lacks to be an interplanetary mobile base. Well done!
Commander_Black 29 Apr, 2016 @ 3:25am
i know that but this CV is just the perfect bodyguard to protect your back while you set a foot down on the planet and get your first base up and running ^^ thats the only reason im taking it down into athmosphere. and even then, turning off the thrusters make it extremely fuel effiecient. litterally a portable base with turret ^^
Gothmar 29 Apr, 2016 @ 3:21am
Arrawn: CV can eat fuel like crazy when you bring them into an atmosphere. They're not designed to go there. That's what SV are for. Park the CV in orbit, then take the SV down to planet. Now if you're going to off-load a HV, then I can see taking a CV to an atmosphere, but only to unload then back into orbit. :D

If you follow this simple premise, you won't need to turn off any thrusters/RCS/lights on a CV, unless it's designed poorly and eats fuel like we breathe air.
Commander_Black 28 Apr, 2016 @ 6:33am
the way i use it, fuel last pretty long.
i land somewhere nice, turn off Thrusters+RCS+Lights,
then use the mini ship to move around the planet.
it is very fuel conssuming if you dont turn thoses of after landing since you need to keep power on for the defences.
TAOZAR 27 Apr, 2016 @ 9:32pm
Ну нечего такой)
YunggGravy 27 Apr, 2016 @ 8:52pm
Great design, it is like a flying fortress. My only complaint is the low fuel and cargo storage, however I understand this is a minimalist design to keep costs down. Thumbed up! and Favorited!
Ultum 27 Apr, 2016 @ 3:45pm
Both the CV and the SV have become my staple ships, couldn't be happier with both of them. Thank you for these ships!
Commander_Black 27 Apr, 2016 @ 7:54am
@ Chaonix

the owner will probly do it soon but in the mean time, here you go

please post a screenshot of the resource cost which is pretty standard....thanks...and good job!
Commander_Black 27 Apr, 2016 @ 1:11am
combined with the SV in it, theyre the best ships ive ever had ^^ extremely agile, they can take anything. now i dont only love the concept, i simple cant play without it ^^

awesome work, keep up :)
Commander_Black 26 Apr, 2016 @ 2:31pm
just love the concept, im crafting the CV right now :D
1h30 to go and i can start the small SV
Plissken 26 Apr, 2016 @ 2:25pm
Very good ship with small ship complement.Great idea. Thanks.
BuffHamster 26 Apr, 2016 @ 1:59pm
That is actually a pretty cool design and the paint scheme looks great. It requires the Atarrack fighter? Will it also spawn the SV with the CV?
Light ✨ Peace 26 Apr, 2016 @ 9:59am
Thanks you so much!
