It was the only mod I had active so there is noting else to blame.
There is an extra closing bracket and semi-colon in line 60 of MC_New_Zealand_ModSupport.sql , which causes the rest of the code to not be read. This is why it doesn't work with YNAEMP.
For anyone else, if you want to fix it right now, go to this mod's folder, and find the file I mentioned. It will be in the 'Mod Support' folder. Open the sql (not the xml) file with notepad, go to (Ctrl+G) line 60, delete the closing bracket and the semi-colon at the end. It will be after 'AS2D_SOUND_JFD_ENGLISH' . Make a backup, just in case, then save the change. Hopefully everything works fine now.
Any monument replacement is bound to be amazing, especially if it also provides a +15% combat bonus on other continents and extra culture. Same goes for infantry with +15% in foreign territory. The influence is just a cherry on top when you consider that every unit you gift has the potential to make 35 influence (+5 base, +15 with Freedom, ?+15 from UA), so gifting landsknechts becomes 4-5 times more cost efficient than gifting gold. Although that little exploit probably pushes NZ over the top, it's quite fun without feeling cheesy. 10/10 would recommend.
HELL YEAH
land of the long grey cloud
Each source of sheep within a citys borders gives it a free population. Sheep provide 2 gold when worked and another 2 with economics.
and you have a unique improvement where you can plant sheep adjacent to any other tile containing sheep.
