who else likes to find the oldest mods for video games?
Itchy Flea  [author] 3 Feb, 2021 @ 10:13pm
Nope.
My first mod was back in January 28, 2014. You can see the thread for it here: https://ludeon.com/forums/index.php?topic=1748.0

I think there were earlier mods. I'm not sure who made the first mod. I do know that I made the first scenario.
A name 3 Feb, 2021 @ 5:11am
So this is the first mod, huh.
Gabe Newell 6 May, 2020 @ 12:51pm
Hey thanks for making this bro, good job
Nokiopiak 17 Mar, 2020 @ 4:01pm
I Think this is the oldest mod.. wow..
Garlic 24 May, 2017 @ 8:48am
This is very old mod, but seems your effort applied to Vanilla. Thank you.
Nishe 12 Feb, 2017 @ 10:43pm
@Lambert2191 That's not happening in my game. The bill only counts the relevant stone type.
Lord Lambert 16 Jan, 2017 @ 10:49am
It absolutely does not do the same thing. You can say what kind of block you want it to cut, but when calculating how many of each block you have, it counts ALL of them.

If you have 80 sandstone, 80 granite and 80 marble stone blocks, and you have your stonecutting bench set to cut until you have 200 (and set it to only marble) it will do nothing as you have over 200 blocks total.

Please update this or tell me where I'm going wrong because this is infuriating.
Itchy Flea  [author] 7 Jan, 2017 @ 10:23am
This will not be updated to Alpha 16 as Tynan added it to the game. (Well, he added his own, but it does the exact same thing.)

Senacharim 26 Dec, 2016 @ 10:35am
Congrats on your mod being now part of the base game! What exciting new mod will you be working on next? :steamhappy:
Hsieh.E 23 Dec, 2016 @ 2:26pm
Thank you for this mod, it was essential to my playthroughs pre A15 :steamhappy:
Dolphus (Wombat) 22 Dec, 2016 @ 8:14pm
Congrats my friend!! You made it into the game! You might as well be a developer now. You gave the people what they wanted, Tynan Sylvester recognised it, and you have permanently influenced the game. Well done!
Shishiyon! 22 Dec, 2016 @ 11:26am
Thanks Mate.
Khaymann 22 Dec, 2016 @ 9:18am
@Itchy Flea Thanks for all the work you put into the mod!
Eddy63 21 Dec, 2016 @ 5:46am
thank you for influencing the game for the better
Zerg620 20 Dec, 2016 @ 11:53pm
Thank you, Itchy Flea, for the Stonecuttting Tweak mod. Your influence might have been the reason future players will inherit this function.
Itchy Flea  [author] 20 Dec, 2016 @ 11:49pm
It appears that this has been added to the base game. There is no need to have this mod anymore and therefore it will not be updated.
DeathKnight. 20 Dec, 2016 @ 11:26pm
This mod is now in base game. You dont need it if you are playing A16. would be great if author added this info to description.
Zerg620 18 Dec, 2016 @ 5:42pm
How do you feel about your mod being Vanilla in the next version?
Beach 11 Dec, 2016 @ 11:54am
thx man i was totally wondering if this existed and sure enough u did it!
Ienkoron 27 Nov, 2016 @ 7:07pm
Absloutely awesome :D
Granite 16 Nov, 2016 @ 6:32pm
Most helpful; thanks
Piratelord 25 Oct, 2016 @ 11:40am
This is how the game should have been. Thanks for making this.
Sergio 23 Oct, 2016 @ 9:04am
It is useful when you want to keep a certain amount of each rocktype in stock. Vanilla only lets you choose a certain amount of total rock regardless of type
Bouncy 22 Oct, 2016 @ 9:31pm
What's the difference between this mod and having separate bills for stones?
Tyko 13 Oct, 2016 @ 10:40pm
@Itchy Flea: Just thought I'd pass my findings along. Funny thing is, I noticed it while making changes to Sandbags to make them use stone... I had to start up RimWorld just to be sure what I saw was right. Like you say, it really isn't much of an isse. Oh, and thanks for the mod!
Itchy Flea  [author] 13 Oct, 2016 @ 10:29pm
@General: Yeah I noticed that when checking something. I personally don't think it's too big of an issue. Perhaps we can put it down to the brick maker knowing exactly what type of stone he's working with instead of whatever is at hand when he goes to start making the bricks. :)
Tyko 13 Oct, 2016 @ 10:05pm
Looks like the "workAmount" may have changed in A15. Bills for "Make stone blocks" have a work amount of 1600 (1600/60 = 26.66 rounded to 27) now, where it looks like yours are using something in the neighborhood of 1450 (24 in game).
RelicLord 7 Oct, 2016 @ 1:26am
So simple yet so necessary. Thanks for this.
Sergio 1 Oct, 2016 @ 2:07pm
This might be what Ive been looking for. :steamhappy: Ill try it. Vanilla wont let me choose with "make until you have X" an amount of each rock, but only X of a total amount. Even if I make separate bills for each rock :steamfacepalm:
Itchy Flea  [author] 23 Sep, 2016 @ 12:12pm
@Adriaan: Feel free to do that. :)

I personally find it much easier to click my stonecutting table and seeing what bills are making what and how much rather than having to click the table, then clicking the bill, then clicking on details, then expanding the materials list to see what material each bill is using.
That is why this mod still exists.
Adriaan 23 Sep, 2016 @ 7:19am
well how about making 4 seperate bills and in details select the material type? Tthis mod is kinda pointless today.... (do note i've just started playing since latest patch yesterday!)
Ministry of Truth 21 Sep, 2016 @ 5:20pm
Damnit I never realized that was there. X_X

So many wasted clicks...
Itchy Flea  [author] 21 Sep, 2016 @ 4:45pm
@Exitian: Until I add that, just click the details button and use the +25 button.
Ministry of Truth 21 Sep, 2016 @ 4:19pm
Just a small thing, but would it be possible to increase the each click in the menu does?

What I mean, when using "make until you have X" with the vanilla "make stone blocks", each click on the arrows makes it change by +-10

When setting up "make until you have X" with this mod, with each click the number only goes up by 1, which means you have to click a very large amount for each block type order.
I've had times where setting up 2+ stone cutting benches means you have to click upwards of 1500+ times.
Bilky 21 Sep, 2016 @ 3:12am
@JohnDoe That's only half the problem. Making a bill that only uses one stone type doesn't factor in which slates you already have made. You might have "Do marble until you have 100", but with 100 granite in stock it won't make any more.
Tammabanana 20 Sep, 2016 @ 12:21pm
Necessary. Thank you!
Hazama 16 Sep, 2016 @ 12:10pm
While you can specify which chunks will be turned into blocks, the stonecutter's table still factors all types of blocks into "Do until you have X". I have a bunch of slate blocks from breaking down a ruin and it was interfering with my granite production.
Fulkun 14 Sep, 2016 @ 3:39am
You can do that in the base game already by adding muiltiple bills and allowing only one type of stone in details tab.
