I love this asset alongside the Waste Transfer versions of the other MRF buildings, but the path in/out appears to be in the center, instead of where the open gates are... I don't suppose you're still working on these given CS2 coming soon, but is there any way for users to address this ourselves? Wouldn't it make more sense if this building provided the most trucks while the other modules had their spawned trucks cut by 2/3rd or so? With no processing capacity there isn't much reason to build this other than for aesthetics.

@Green Fox: Oh interesting! Seems like it's something specific to the decal, which means it's something I can't really do anything about. But the asset works just fine without the decal

@Avanya: I passed Steam verification and even a full reinstall. It's taken me a while to figure this out, but it looks like I'm only getting the error about "Bike Middle" on the winter maps, such as Snowy Coast. I don't know enough about the game internals to tell whether this means there's an issue in the vanilla DLC or this asset.

@Green Fox: Huh, that's strange! Are you using LSM to skip any vanilla assets? If not, I recommend verifying game files through Steam just to make sure all files are fine.

And thanks for the heads up about the Loader! I'll add the pack to requirements :)

@Avanya: I have After Dark, and I'm able to build some of the core structures from it, like taxi depots, so I'm not sure why it's not finding this one if that's where it comes from.

As an aside, I switched to the WP/Sunset harbor version of the MRF buildings collection, and the Glass MRF requires a prop called "Loader" that is not listed in either that collection or that version of the individual building. LSM suggested that it might be part of the Construction Equipment props pack .

@Green Fox: Yes, that's a decal found in the After Dark DLC, which will be missing if you don't have that DLC. But it doesn't affect how it works at all, you are safe to ignore the missing notice. :)

According to LSM, there is an prop in this asset that it can't find named "Bike Middle" and it isn't listed in your required items list.

@Dextren: Yes, it's supposed to collect from buildings. The Waste Processing Facilities will when pick garbage up from it or any other landfill (this is essentially a landfill). If you're using my recycling center assets as the WPF then check to make sure you have the right ones. There are 2 different versions, the ones in the collection with this asset, which are just recycling centers, and the ones which require Sunset Harbor which are WPF

Hey there, have a Question.
First of, i ik your mods.
But this Facility collects from Buildings and dont deliver to the Process Facilitys. in fact for me the processors get their trash from the normal city buildings, and completly ignbore landfills or recycling centers. even with the transfer manager mod i cant get it running.

it shows that this requires after dark dlc even though you said it can still work without it, is there any way i can use it without after dark? the recycling concept is so fun and i would love to try it

@Lieuallen: Yes, if there's space in the landfills. It works exactly like a landfill, so if the button to empty isn't working, it sounds like there's nowhere to empty to or there's a mod messing with how emptying works.

Really like the look of this asset. But, it now says it's full, and clicking the "empty building to another facility" button does nothing. Won't it take stuff to my landfill(s)?

@horngeek: Only noise pollution. I think they do that a bit, but can't remember exactly how bad. I stick them around residential areas in my cities and haven't had any issues. Just throw in some trees as a noise barrier.

@yyeest: Make sure it's enabled in the Content Manager, and if you're using the Loading Screen Mod, check that you have it set to load enabled assets and not only used assets. If it isn't in your city and that option isn't checked, it won't load.

@YuLun: Yes. Or you would need a landfill or a vanilla recycling center. The Sunset Harbor set are all waste processors - they do not collect directly from other buildings, but instead from landfills, this building or the vanilla recycling center.

Sorry to bother you, but I recently got Cities and have been really enjoying your recycling options as I am going for a green city without pollution. I am curious if maybe I am doing something wrong as these recycling drop offs only have a capacity of 1m which is eight times less than the landfill you get with vanilla. I find I'm having to micromanage the drop off constantly as they keep filling up super quickly, and then my Cims complain that their garbage isn't being picked up (my recycling facilities can't handle my garbage demand without the drop offs). The drop offs fill within a few minutes on full speed (empty even quicker), and if im managing traffic or building they just fil up without me paying attention, and if i don't watch them to set them back to fill mode they just sit there, and everything backs up. Is there any way I can make it so that they can hold the same amount as the normal landfills? (I don't have Sunset Harbour)

@g.a.c.meijer: Thank you for the feedback! From my notes it's supposed to hold much more than the transfer station, while having fewer trucks and being a bit more expensive. But I'll have to check what the stats ended up being.

i understand. Not to critizise your work, but i would suggest the numbers of the waste transfer and complex of the game. Now the transfer can do 250000 while i need 3 of the recycling dropoff centres. The other items together (e.g. glass MRF and so on), do much more than the ingame waste priccesing complex.

I'll have to check capacity, but always check that your budget is set to 100% as that will change the numbers. I'm just headed off for now, but I'll check the capacity ingame next time I load it up. :)

It's me that updated the description to the wrong numbers. I updated it to be more balanced not so long ago, and the numbers in the editor are not the same as ingame ones, so I managed to confuse myself a great deal. :P

me again, sorry to take up your time. I added 3 of these, but it says i have garbage capacaty of 222.400 and i only have 16 trucks per dropoff centre. any ideas?

@[GoD] PDX_Jedi: Yes and no. It isn't actually the transfer stations that transfer trash. It's the processing complex that picks it up from other places. So no update/re-release of this one. But I am working on one for the entire modular recycling set, so they will go to the drop-off and pick up trash, which should give us a nice realistic effect and stop it from filling up. :)

do you have plans to update / redesign the drop off center to function as a true transfer station? (I realize this could potentially require a complete rebuild, and be more than you want to put forth. but thought it worth asking just in case, because I really enjoy your work and how these look/tie into each other.

@Avanya Hi, I love your assets and I used your modular MRFs in almost every city I build! I was wondering if you could possibly release the roll off containers with open doors(I see you have the closed door ones already) that you have in this asset as a prop? It would look great in a scrap yard I am working on in my city right now. Thanks!

Is this supposed to function as a transfer station somehow? I have a couple scattered about, but they are constantly full, even when the rest of the recycling centers are low.

I have the same problem being told to me by the loading screen mod. HOWEVER, it only tells me its missing the bike middle asset on WINTER MAPS. otherwise it doesnt appear. its a DLC item that ive verified my files numerous times and everything aswell so why this is happening i dont know.

Hi just wanted to mention that I run into the same missing asset "Bike Middle" issue as Quik415. As you said it is safe to ignore though! This only happens to me on winter biome maps oddly. My report from my loading screen mod says that this asset and the "Pedestrian and Bicycle Path" are the only two mods I have that are missing Bike Middle. Just wanted to mention it in case anyone else had run into it.

@Quik415 It uses a road marker from AD, but it doesn't matter if you don't have it. Just ignore the error, it doesn't break anything.

@steve: I had a chance to look into it and I can't reproduce your issue. There's not even an error for me when I load it without AD. I tried a city that had some placed with AD, then removed AD and still no issue. I'm afraid the issue isn't this asset but something else that's just showing up for you with my asset.

@steve: I'll look into this as soon as I can (just had an operation in my hand, so no gaming atm :P). If it's causing you problems you can unsubscribe it. That will remove it from your save (prob a few errors, but they should go away).

After a recent update, this asset started to break my saved game. It seems that the missing DLC item mentioned in the comments really started to cause a problem. It keeps throwing the null reference exception on me. Also, it is impossible to delete the asset from a game and when I plop it, it does not show up.

@testudo: I won't add After Dark as a requirement since it works without and some people are likely to still want it even with a missing prop. But you're right it would be a good idea to mention the line will be missing without the DLC. Most props like that don't rely on the DLC, but it seems this one does sadly.

@Avanya : You really should mention clearly in the description, that this asset requires After Dark DLC. It would be only fair to anyone looking into this, but not having that DLC.

While this works without After Dark and the "Bike Middle" asset supplied by it, the message about the missing asset (given by e.g Loading Screen Mod) is causing unnecessary concern, if one doesn't know why they are seeing it.
