Yea I noticed. I merely only hate powershell, because Microsoft keeps shoving it down my throat by deleting CMD from the context menu every time I update Windows. I literally have to go edit my registry to bring CMD back every time I update. You tend to hate something when its being shoved down your throat. PowerShell is much more intuitive, I admit.

Updated the powershell script with your changes and some fixes so it works in a global powershell window. Thanks for the updates.

PS. I used powershell because for this, it was much easier than trying to do in batch
Vas 19 Sep, 2021 @ 12:10pm
Hey EVWeb, A friend and I have upgraded this a little bit more. The PowerShell Script that is.

Comments at the top explain. :P

I'm running a local copy of Misc Settings now that just has my settings in one game option now. :P
Vas 19 Sep, 2021 @ 8:37am
I figured out why your powershell script was broken. You were using Powershell ISE, which runs differently than regular powershell.

I've got a fixed version of the powershell script in my discord. I was getting prretty pissed off because I hate powershell and I couldn't fix it.

I can't compile your mod because you switched the batch files to the horrible and terrible powershell system. :/ I wanted to compress the list of options down to one with all the options I use.

Wanted to make a single one with tax collector min 100 max 200, flags 100 (thought would be nice if I could customize each flag), house and lounge.

I tried but, got a ton of errors that powershell says it doesn't understand how to run this.

@teethri When in game, select Castle > Press R > Set Flag amounts to 0.
Inquisitor Toth 2 Jul, 2020 @ 5:37am
Great mod - I recommend it
EVWeb  [author] 7 May, 2020 @ 12:26pm
All settings are optional, if you don't want one, don't activate that specific one (Note: the "Misc Settings" option is only a shortcut, each option can be enabled by itself without this)
teethri 7 May, 2020 @ 6:09am
Could you make the starting reward flags 100 optional, please? When I play with a touchpad mouse, I keep accidentally setting rewards, including on my own buildings. I know rogues will attack an ally even for just 100 sometimes, so that does more than just waste money.

As an aside, I just realized that setting explore flags in your own base is a decent way to summon defenders if you know an attack is coming, though not as good as just paying 500 to summon warriors.
EVWeb  [author] 8 Feb, 2020 @ 3:11pm
Added some new individually activated mods for more control over your tax collectors. I looked into splitting the starting attack and explore flag rewards, but unfortunately they're tied together in the game engine.
monguinassassin 22 Nov, 2019 @ 12:30pm
Okay, those issues were fixed. However, I selected individual miscellaneous settings because the generic one that supposedly activates all doesn't work.
EVWeb  [author] 20 Nov, 2019 @ 10:58pm
I've never seen either of those issues monguinassassin, are you using any other mods?

>Elven Lounges and Gambling Houses Set To Not Repair By Default
You, dirty barbarian, how dare you!!!111
KelpTheGreat 26 Apr, 2018 @ 5:03pm
1,000 for a STARTING reward flag? You're too generous, @Bree. Heroes should take their 100 gold and enjoy it, because that's all they deserve. =P
Bree 11 Mar, 2018 @ 2:29pm
I love the mod and do make extensive use of it, but I wish there were a way to customize the amount the starting amounts are set to--tax collectors with this mod have a minimum pickup of 100 (double that is closer to what I personally prefer) yet I find it helpful to set the minimal DROPOFF at an amount equal to or lower than the pickup (because this minimizes the risk that the tax collector doing his rounds picks up gold and gets slaughtered before depositing), something that I have to do manually.

More than that, often I find that 100 is too low for flags. I'd think having 1,000 would be more helpful.

Furthermore, an additional thing I'd find helpful is if flags were separated into attack and explore flags. I never set attack flags to have any default amount because I often misclick and accidentally create attack flags, but I often forget that I need to set a default amount for explore flags.

Still, mod is a lifesaver regardless.

I wish wizard towers were set to not repair by default
KarthNemesis 23 Jan, 2017 @ 8:22am
Not having to click "no repair" on every single elven lounge is a huge time saver. The tax collector change is also super nice. Really nice mod that doesn't change too much. Being able to choose the bits you want was a good idea as well.
Daya.Mar.Sana 15 Jan, 2017 @ 3:10pm
I'm gonna just put in my two cents here, but the reward flags starting at 0 means you dont get penalized for accidentally placing the things as you dont get your money back when you cancel them.
梅尼艾克 26 Dec, 2016 @ 8:23pm
all i manual operation being default.love it!
squabzilla 11 Dec, 2016 @ 12:56am
Great mod. One thought, you might want to make it clearer that these are all individual options - when I first saw the mod I thought it was all the options or none.

Second, could you make an option to turn off taxing houses by default, that would be great.
EVWeb  [author] 10 Dec, 2016 @ 9:29pm
No problem, hope you do get access to these features on the gog.com version. If you do, just tell me and I'll fiugure out how to port it.
Risewild 10 Dec, 2016 @ 9:06pm
Sorry for the late reply, my computer broke for quite a while and when I came back someone tried to steal my Steam Account.
I didn't know it was still in beta on steam, I went to gog.com and asked about it and the gog version will not have the beta version. :( sorry for wasting your time.
EVWeb  [author] 27 Oct, 2016 @ 7:50pm
Unfortunately, I have no idea how to post it for non-Steam Workshop. Heck, is the beta even available for non-Steam versions?
Risewild 23 Oct, 2016 @ 6:42am
Is there any chance of providing an external download location/link? For some people the steam workshop doesn't work sometimes and this way people ho own the game on other services (like GOG.com) could also enjoy your mods.
Please do not take this comment as a demand, I am just asking because I can't find mods for this game anywhere else besides Steam Workshop :( . Thanks for the time.

Such a simple, yet effective mod, good work.
Turgid Swine 18 Aug, 2016 @ 10:45pm
Just wanted to say thanks for making this mod. It saves quite a few clicks.
EVWeb  [author] 27 Jun, 2016 @ 11:34pm
@Vas Fixed Description, Thanks
Vas 27 Jun, 2016 @ 11:27pm
Uh, Elven Bungalows are good.... Did you mean you wanted to get rid of Elven Lounges? Bungalows boost your marketplace income, lounges take money from your heroes permanently like the gambling houses.
Vas 8 Jun, 2016 @ 9:30pm
@Plasma Felis, one of my planned mods is going o be changing house spawn rates and income rates, as well as eliminating houses all together.
Vas 8 Jun, 2016 @ 9:29pm
@The Dictator, I don't see houses as crucial to the economy either. They piss me off 90% of the time. "Whoop, you got a 4th hero now, we'll spawn a house in a spot you intended to use for a guardhouse!" I most of th time destroy all my houses with an earth quake after I get a high population. Houses aren't important at all. Maybe super early game, but once you get that trading post up literally anywhere, even as close to the market place as possible, you offset anything houses could give you periodically and your tax collectors don't have to spend weeks going to each house before they get to your market place which has 10,000,000 gold in it and is constantly being robbed by elvish rogue scum bags and ratmen that walk up and touch the fucking thing and steal half immediately.
Vas 8 Jun, 2016 @ 9:24pm
Nice, I love how you set this up with multiple options within a single mod. I'm currently planning on doing the same thing now, if I can figure out how. Someone else did a mod I wanted to do but he left out the source code and did something further to it that I don't want so I can't just tweak his for personal use, now i have to go and make my own entirely from scratch. :/
Phasma Felis 10 May, 2016 @ 7:25pm
@Bryan Blackwell: More than you, kid. :) The original game did auto-repair houses; they devs changed it in the Northern Expansion in 2001, because it's a really bad idea.

Yeah, you lose a little money when a house goes down, but not nearly as much as when your lvl3 marketplace explodes because all your peasants were too busy to fix it. And the house will respawn and start producing again in short order, automatically and for free. Your marketplace won't.
Magic Negro 10 May, 2016 @ 3:22pm
in a similar vein, can you make that elven lunges and gambling halls are set to no repair? they only drain your economy and waste heroes time
Honorable Discharge 9 May, 2016 @ 6:31am
Aaaand Phasma shows he doesn't know anything about the game.
Bone Rider 8 May, 2016 @ 5:16pm
Looky here, bud, houses are critical to the economy.
Phasma Felis 8 May, 2016 @ 11:23am
@The Dictator: Why would you want that? It just makes the peasants waste time repairing houses instead of critical buildings.
Bone Rider 6 May, 2016 @ 1:50pm
It'd be nice if you added the feature of all the houses automatically being set to the Peasant repair list once they spawn.
EVWeb  [author] 2 May, 2016 @ 5:14pm
Yup that can happen, and that's why I allow you to activate specific features of this mod instead of the whole thing.
Magic Negro 2 May, 2016 @ 5:09am
the reward flag one doesnt seem so great considering you sometimes click on the wrong unit or just double click by accident
