What would be interesting, is if this mod used one single light that had an RGB slider instead, so you could access the light and change its color manually, possibly an input box that allows you to put in a HEX code or copy one from another light.
LeviC1987 17 Feb, 2017 @ 5:05pm
can the lights be on during the day time?
Fortterb 28 Dec, 2016 @ 3:27pm
the outdoor spotlight just faces towards what ever surface you are putting it on, put it on a wall even if you turn it before final placement, it will face the wall, same with the ground.

the outdoor spotlight just faces down in the dirt

FYI for anyone wanting to try these. These are VERY, very low light. As in you might see them in perfect darkness. They are more for accent than for light.

I will be updating this mod this weekend.
I'm pretty sure it will be the last update unless there are any major bugs or if it gets broken by a future Ark update.
In the upcoming update you will no longer set the color via the menu. Instead, you will paint region 1 whatever color you want the light to be. This means many more colors are available.
If I can make it work, the color change will happen when you click "dye item".
If not, it will change within 30 seconds of you painting it if painted at night. If painted during day, it will be that color when it gets dark.
Default color is white so when update hits, all your existing lights will turn to white.
You've now been informed.

Updated
P0k3r  [author] 10 Jul, 2016 @ 5:01am
AshesToVictory - Color change options are only available when it is dark. If you spawn in near the lights after dark, you have to go out of stasis range then come back to trigger the timers. Update I am about to release should resolve that. Now you should just have to walk up to them and they will come on if they are not already on.
Vas - They were never meant to be light "Sources", just accent lighting hence not being very bright. That being said, images are from very first version. They have changed brightness twice since then along with a new "high" setting that is considerably brighter.
Vas 6 Jul, 2016 @ 2:37am
All the screenshots show incredibly dim lights. Like you're using 1.2 lumen bulbs. :P
Ashes 5 Jul, 2016 @ 7:43pm
Not sure if I'm doing something wrong but the lights don't seem to be working for me. I have tried the wall, flood and spotlights and none turn on automatically. Additionaly none of them have any radial menu options aside for pickup and destroy. I'm using a lot of other mods so that might be the problem, any advice?
P0k3r  [author] 3 Jul, 2016 @ 9:54am
Lights were taking damage from a very long ways away, fixed.
P0k3r  [author] 2 Jul, 2016 @ 10:57pm
Wall light is actually still broke. will fix next update, not sure when that will be. Everything else seems to be ok.

Sweet thanks and keep up the awesome work
P0k3r  [author] 2 Jul, 2016 @ 9:49am
theRealTedward - Next update will no longer give any insulation. Probably later today.
Update will fix wall light not being interact-able, spot lights can be placed underwater and floodlights can be placed on floors.
DamnItTedward 1 Jul, 2016 @ 5:21pm
Ok so I have tried this mod twice, love it except one thing. Obviously lights cause heat and the problem is this if I place any lights it causes my character to overheat. Usually to point of death. Could you look into this if you have time?

Causing a client crash right now, fix coming shortly
P0k3r  [author] 30 Jun, 2016 @ 10:02pm
oops, looks like material for crystals is missing. Since it's an admin only item, I will not update with a fix right away.
Also, spotlights that were already placed need to be picked up & re-placed or they will be insanely bright.
P0k3r  [author] 30 Jun, 2016 @ 9:15pm
Updated. Be sure to delete server files and re-install fresh copies or new functions won't work correctly.

Anyone have issue uninstalling this mod. Causes me to log in to respawn screen.
P0k3r  [author] 24 Jun, 2016 @ 12:02pm
Adding an update shortly that should improve performance, some lights were not going into stasis.
These lights were never really intended to be used as a primary source of light, only for accent lighting at night which is why they are not very bright and only come on at night.
I will look into 1 more brightness setting though and I had already planned to eventually add some type of main control.
lizzz3ard 16 Jun, 2016 @ 5:54pm
seems to only give color options at night
lizzz3ard 16 Jun, 2016 @ 5:41pm
does this mod still work all i get is pick or destroy the light no color options
Twitch.TV/EvIlBlAcKsOnIc 30 May, 2016 @ 7:21am
its a cool mod but i is their a way that you can make a control panel so that we dont need to settings every light one by one :-) and maybe not only when its night
Sharkking 30 May, 2016 @ 6:19am
please make the lights brighter.

I stumbled upon an idea that will rely heavily on this mod for the effects to feature in an ARKitect entry (hopefully in video form if PC can handle it to get the best effects). But there are a few things that if not difficult, I was wondering if you can incorporate.

1) Stronger intensity (Up 2 more notches if possible). The light is a bit weak and when placed under a glass ceiling tile, it doesn't quite light up the floor (the glass ceiling is my floor for this idea)

2) Can the ground based lights be made placeable on top of ceiling panels?

3) An option to keep the light running all day? Or else set the trigger times from 8pm to 6am.

Thanks
SuccessiveChaos 18 May, 2016 @ 1:25pm
Hey,
Love the mod (especially the indoor lighting). Only problem i noticed with it is that the indoor lighting is pretty dim, even on the highest level of lighting. Any chance this is going to be improved?
Canibalis Rex 15 May, 2016 @ 3:10am
Oh also, an always on option for them would be good too, as running lights they should always be on ideally.
Canibalis Rex 15 May, 2016 @ 3:09am
I like this mod, it's the first time I see submerged lights work and give visible light. I use them not so much as a light source though, more as underwater markers and running lights to mark the entrance of my underwater cave. It would be nice though if they (the underwater ones) could snap to walls, foundations etc. too. It did not seem to want to for me.
Daxx3K 12 May, 2016 @ 7:01am
I had found the problem, for some reason the update didn't take.. thanks for the prompt response. i look forward to looking at the other lighting you have added ... :steamhappy:
P0k3r  [author] 11 May, 2016 @ 2:33pm
juschrin2000 - Try a fresh install. There is no other reason why only you would be having this issue.
Willow - The colors can only be set at night when the lights are on.
Updated with wall and roof lamps (temporary models for now)

i havee just added this mod but i cant change the color of the lights

Ceiling and wall mounted proto-types coming very soon. Also a fix for spot light & underwater light "corona" not shutting off with light
P0k3r  [author] 7 May, 2016 @ 11:02pm
WillBischueps ❤ - No. That's the way Ark works.

juschrin2000 - Apparently that was an issue with the latest version of Ark and should be fixed now.
From Ark patch notes - "Unversioned Hotfix: Fixed Shader Crash that was occuring with some mods."
Many mods that have spotlights were having this issue

Ok, upload is cooking. Everything is working 100% perfect as far as I have tested.
Everything saves like it is supposed to and I added a "Black" light as a spawn only item. It can be placed indoors or out, just not underwater.
"Black" light is a kinda cool effect I stumbled upon while setting up the sensitivity that does some crazy looking things. Hard to explain, stand next to one with no shirt and see the strange sparkling glow it produces on your body. Set some up in a big circle, throw in some strobes and you can have yourself a nice little rave party! (I haven't looked at dino's with it yet) Setting the color to Blue while the "Black" light is enabled looks coolest IMHO.

One last in game test then will upload.
May work on an indoor set for next version

Strobe does NOT save yet.
☣ Snowblind ☣ 6 May, 2016 @ 2:17pm
hey ...i wanna ask maybe u can work on a celling light :) ..the lampposts from ark r so ugly.. :)
P0k3r  [author] 6 May, 2016 @ 12:00pm
Updating shortly with the following: Will save colors now, "low" and "high" setting for light intensity
"strobe" setting with 3 speeds. .03 secs, .5 secs and 2 secs.

Strobe does NOT save yet but the color does save.

If the strobe is on at restart it will no longer flash after the restart and you will have to turn the strobe setting off then back on for it to strobe again.
Not exactly sure why it is not saving right now but will get it working eventually.

When you update, you will probably need to re-place your Spot lights because for some reason they have rotated 90 degrees.
P0k3r  [author] 6 May, 2016 @ 10:47am
[Pyro] Snowblind - How exactly do you turn something on that has no on/off switch? I think you better double check your installation. If you only have a choice of white and you get the option to turn it on/off, it sounds like you do not have this mod.
The not saving part does lol! but the rest does not. There is no way you are getting an option to turn it on or off on these lights. That was removed from the menu and I also disabled the "Toggle Activation" setting for the lights.

☣ Snowblind ☣ 6 May, 2016 @ 1:40am
hi ...i have this mod on the server but "" Lights turn on and off automatically around sunrise and sunset. ""didnt work...i must turn them on...and the only light white no colour save
TomberWolf 5 May, 2016 @ 3:27pm
Could you please add Lights placable on ceilings / foundations / walls?
That would be awesome!
Grog Grueslayer 4 May, 2016 @ 10:53am
I love the mod but can you make bigger and brighter lights. My plan for your mod was to light up the pond under a waterfall for night fishing and to use your mod to light up mountain trails. With them being so small and lighting up a small area it'll take hundreds of them at their current size (don't get rid of the small ones make some bigger versions too). :-)
