@Peanut Noceda: switched to Sonic 1 as base DLC
Also, the music is absolutely rocking!
Also, I beat the Black Challenge!
Are you annoyed at these gigantic spaces yet?
I will fix this ASAP. Thanks for the notification!
So yeah, that definitely wasn't intentional and I never heard of this bug in particular. I didn't watch the full stream (yet), but it's very likely that your viewer was right. Every time you hit a check point in Labyrinth Zone, the camera control toggles between up and down, and on the fourth one it additionally disables the bottom boundary killing feature. So if you somehow skip a check point, you broke the sequence...
That's why I put the lamp posts in such a way so that they aren't skippable. How you managed to do it anyway is something I'm currently inspecting from your stream.
Thank you so much for your report and kind words! :)

One of my stream viewers theorized that what threw things off was hitting a checkpoint when the screen was still scrolling to catch up after hitting a skip box.
I actually really love the hack either way Selbi :D I've heard and seen that in some ways the Sega emulator has been giving some hacks problems, so maybe if IS a glitch and not me just being dumb this could be that too.
But really it could be either or.
This has also happened with a few more hacks that I subbed to, what on earth is happening?
I made it past Green Hill and the other text box seems to work too.
A few hackers seem to be having SRAM related issues as well, i'm wondering if changing over to S3&K will fix thier problems for the moment until maybe a feature to use SRAM in other roms is put in.
That said, I'm having some minor graphical glitches that probably are emulator issues. The bars on the top and bottom of the screen during cutscenes don't always load properly and Sonic glitched into his running sprite after hitting a W block in the first special stage.
