I wiped its' data because it was glitchy and a pain to work with. Plus, it frees up a new level slot for the future. I may bring it back at some point, but for now, I don't want to bother keeping it. I apologize for the inconvience :T

New update! This one showcases my new found wizard like knowledge of DAC (aka Sound clips like the sega sound)! Also has added an easier to find, but less rewarding way to enter the level select.

Save files don't work on the hub. You need to use the No Save option.

Savestates from prior versions should definately cause it to crash. If it's not savestate related, then I'm not sure. Try redownloading the mod. Do other mods work?

A new update has arrived! Buizel works better, an ancient splash was brought back from the dead, and some other miscellaneous fixes have been made.

$18 in default S2 is the 1 up sound effect. It's sorta broken, if you couldn't tell :P I replaced it with an alternate effect in game, but its' bugginess still can be triggered in the sound test. Honestly, I kind of like it that way :3

I made an update! The hub area has it's own title card and music! I also added a motobug into Topiary Tree Zone, see if you can find it :P

Not at all... I've bern doing it just fine. Keep in mind, the controls are altered, B is used to punch and do special moves when playing as knuckles.

IT WORKS NOW!!!
I updated it to have a hub zone, which includes a no saving feature! You can finally play in the Hub! :steamhappy:

For anyone having doubts, Sonic Classic Heroes confirms this version of Sonic 2 can't use SRAM.

I don't want to release this as an S3K mod, because it simply isn't. It's a dumb fix to a dumb problem, Sega should have just let the game specify whether or not SRAM should be used, instead of trying to reinvent the wheel. Besides, if I did that, I'd have to upload a new version for S3K, then take it down when the new one came, which would bomb everyone's saves, or manage two seperate versions in sync, which would be annoying and dumb, especially seeing as Segas bound to fix the bug eventually.

Again, sorry for any inconvience caused by my stubornness, hopefully this workshop upload gives Sega a sign that the bug should be fixed ASAP

I think the reason why Sonic 1 & Sonic 2 mods using SRAM are broken is because of the fact that the pak files for those games tell the emulator to disable SRAM.

Suggestion: make Sonic 3 the basis. This'll fix the SRAM bug until Sega makes SRAM available universally.

Due to the aformentioned save game bug caused by Segas' oversight, the game crashes instantly when attempting to start the game. I have no interest in adjusting my game to not use save data, so, until, thats' fixed, I'm afraid this will remain broken :( Feel free to bug Sega about it, it's a really, really stupid bug.

Again, please add feedback! If you find a bug, an annoying part of a level, or think of a reasonable feature that would improve a level, please post it here! I will seriously consider (and likely fix/add/implement) any suggestions made here!
