Prior to the release of the Tanks DLC, the Blackfoot lacked the ability to use a laser designator unlike its real-world counterpart. The DLC's release finally gave the gunner the ability to use a laser designator (slaved to the turret) to mark targets for laser-guided munitions.

houla ! it has been a long time since I worked on this. Normally however you don't really need the DAGR, there are soft targets only, use the canon.

Hi, I'll try. Thanks for the comment. Also, there is a very nice C-130 Gunship mod. What would you prefer for the mission, a C-130 with MOD or a VTOL without any mod?

Hi, thanks for your interest. No way you can use rockets or missiles. This is a canon only mission. SPOILER You don't have any armored threat anyway. No need of missile.

the helo doesn't face the target or be at a good range sometimes
so i couldn't use the guided rockets

Djol, I do understand it is very difficult to 'program' my remarks in a mission; if at all possible....
I, for one, am absolutely incapable of doing so. I'm working on a simple mission, and even 'simple' is difficult for me.
I liked the mission, and I do not expect you to make changes, since it is very well playable without a 'fix' for my rather trivial remarks.
And it is after all logical you have to wait a little while for stragglers and the wounded, is it not.

1/ The helo is not flying "exactly" the original route. However the helo is flying through a "wide" round approach because there is no other way I found to properly orientate the helo. There is no "face to" command which works in the arma script language. I tried hard... and perhaps I missed it.
2/ I understand but such function seems very difficult to realize. Making a helo follow a group requires the computation of the barycenter, the creation of waypoints and some manual adjustment which required some developement AND A LOT OF TESTING ;-) . I don't know anyway to rotate the helo once on position so I didn't even try.

Ok, a nice mission. In the end 23 reached the extraction point,so a +95% succes is not bad.
Two remarks:
1) after the helo rearms it flies back to combat zone via the original route (not shortest route), thats not logical.
2) I visually confirmed that 16 men reached extraction OK, but the radio reported there were 23 left. At first I thought a glitch and wanted to close/abort the mission. I decided to wait a little and afrer quite a while the remaining 7 appeared. I guess they were slower because of wounds of the got lost...LOL It worried me, had I been able to turn the helo I would have seen they were coming.
Nice mission though. Keep 'm coming like this.

Well, atleast in my playtrough there was none checkpoints and I don't think I played the mission any kind differently or brokening it. If I wouldn't saved game manually and later failed mission I should've have restart whole mission again which.. probaply isn't what is aimed in this mission.

saveGame; is always working one no matter of what which is why I use it in my missions. But if there is/ are checkpoints can you tell where they should've been so other players might tell also if their checkpoints are (or not) working.

Hi djol,

I like your bop-up scripts from Negades o Negades, I'm modifying it to make more gunner-only missions.

I was wondering if you could help me implement a script that builds upon what you started. What I'm trying to do is command the pilot to "lurch" forward 100m from the current position.

I am able to compute the position but am having trouble getting the helicopter to move there properly.

Would you be able to inspect my code sometime? Perhaps you could add me on steam and we could exchange e-mail addresses.

Terrible. Helo just sits there doing nothing, should allow for player to pilot the helo instead of limiting them to just the gunner's seat
