@joegn i referenced the guidelines, but it's probably closest to tetris dx for the game boy colour in terms of how it actually plays

it isn't the only time

Question: Do you know what form of Tetris this is based off of? While asthetically it seems based on Guideline, the gameplay seems unique. (I have never played Sega Tetris before, it may be based off of that.)
Zenek 11 Oct, 2020 @ 12:12pm
it works

Tetris is great, where can I hear about the remixes?

I can't stop playing this one my emulation handheld. Fantastic work! Any chance of an update?

It has the original Sonic TOO?! I love you!

You have no idea how long I've been searching for a good port of tetris on a modern system. This is absolutely beautiful. Thank you!!!
Ikagura 29 Jun, 2018 @ 3:43pm
nice

It's for 3 & Knuckles, and it's amazing. Paired with Mean Bean Machine, it makes for perfect practice fodder for the forthcoming Puyo Puyo Tetris... :^) Shouts to the creator of this amazing hack! :D

The tetris modes may be flawed, but they're still better than tetris ultimate. Congratulations, this is the best tetris game on steam! :^)

i seen this hack on a vid:steamhappy:

This is pretty cool. You'll have to fix the 40 Line game since the play area scrolls instead of the background.
Minecat256 25 Aug, 2017 @ 6:03pm
I feel like the remixes of the regular Sonic 1 levels in this mod could have been Act 2 remixes of the original songs if the zones themselves had been in Sonic 3 and Knuckles.

Who needs Mania when you got SMOOTH AS BALLS MUSIC LIKE THIS?

I got a continue and it sad gameover when I lost all my lives then sad sega and went to the title, the game skiped my continue, this a good hack but I would like bug fixes for some of the more common problems.
PeachyJae68000 3 May, 2016 @ 6:21pm
@Crash Thank you for being as considerate and patient about this situation good sir! You seem like a chilled guy & I really appreciate that we were able to clear things up so something like this never happens again in a civil manner of coarse! :)

By the way one of my favorite aspects of this Hack is indeed the Jammin tunes! They're by far one of the best Sonic 1 Remixes I've ever had the pleasure of hearing even so much as to beat out the originals & that is NO JOKE! Fantastic job with the track and I hope you continue to make even more fantastic Sonic Hacks in the future!

@Nostalgia Ninja: Yeah I do know about those. The release was a little rushed to meet the deadline for the 2014 hacking contest so I didn't catch all the bugs at the time. I want to update this to fix it up but I'm having some trouble finding the latest version of the source code -- I have a version from a few weeks before release, I hadn't figured out source control of any sort back when I made this. I'll have to look through my old external hard drives.

@Mental Hog: No problem, your upload had been removed before it had even been pointed out to me. You should probably wait a while before uploading other people's hacks to give them a chance to do it themselves, or even better, try and get in contact with them and ask permission!

@BiggerJ: Yep, the high score system doesn't work without SRAM, which the emulator has disabled for games that didn't support it as originally released. I originally posted it as a Sonic 1 hack, then changed it to Sonic 3 to try and get around this.
BiggerJ 3 May, 2016 @ 2:29am
I found a bug - this is listed under the mods menu for Sonic 3 instead of Sonic 1.
PeachyJae68000 2 May, 2016 @ 3:30pm
I would like to apologize {If you haven't seen the post on SSRG yet} for what I had done early! I definitely shouldn't have uploaded your work onto Workshop without your permission and I should have carefully read the guidelines before posting anything onto workshop! In all honesty I absolutely love your game and at the time I just wanted to give your work exposure to people who wouldn't have initially experienced it, but now I'm glad that you have official uploaded it on to Steam for everyone to enjoy! Again I am truly sorry for what I have done and I promise never to pull anything like this on Workshop ever again without the permission of the creator! As a little known band named Crush40 once said "Live & Learn", and with that I hope that we're cool! I wish you the best for what future endeavor you decided to go through in terms of the Sonic Hacking Community, and I hope you have a fantastic day sir! By the way my name is Shroomy and it was a pleasure to meet you sir!

Works well, but is not perfect. Colors for L and J are reversed and it's possible to glitch through some of the blocks.
