Does this work with an actual Guitar Hero controller? :o

I've added Hammer-Ons - more in the Discussion thread :D

I'm currently working on a version of the script that allows "pull-offs / hammer-ons" (HO-POs) which would make this version of Nexies Guitar Hero mod "feature complete".

I first thought this would be impossible (because there's no way the game itself could differentiate between strumming and HO-POs) but it works when using a "HOPO-mode" the player can activate by keeping the strum bar / backspace pressed after hitting a note the regular way.

I have this habit as well in the real Guitar Hero game (even though it's not necessary) as a way to keep myself from accidently hitting the bar and to keep my mind focused to "fill in" a HO-PO section between regular strumming.

For this task I need to rewrite the whole script and make it more complicated by several magnitudes, but I also have a lot more Python experience by now (after completing several way more advanced scripts for other games) so this should be ready in the near future.

Because there are only single blocks in this version, I could change the FreePIE script I posted in the other versions to include a popular guitar hero technique:

Only the "highest" pressed button counts which allows you to hold multiple buttons and still be correct.

This can be very useful in fast sections because you don't have to bother releasing buttons half of the time and you can concentrate on more important stuff.
