will be nice if you put some sound or shine indicator when you hit the blocks correctly or get a wrong "note".

Great mod! Only issue is there isn't much feedback to your inputs. If blocks could disappear or turn grey when you hit them that would make this really satisfying to play!

Can you make the blocks explode when they get hit? It's kinda hard to see if I hit the blocks or not. This is really cool mod

@Shinken I have a Xbox 360 GH3 controller that I want to use with this mod, I have tried using your GH X-Plorer script but can't get it to work. Please could you let me know if your script will work with my controller and if so, how to get it to work in the game with Nexie's mod. Thanks.

A couple things though.
Is it possible you could make a left-handed version of these? When I first started it was awkward to put my pinky on green, and even more confusing to use my right hand with my keyboard. I've gotten used to it, but I'd like to spare others the inital confusion.
Also, what exactly is the gamemode following? The rhythm? The beat?

I seriously love this gamemode; I haven't had this much fun playing Audiosurf in a long time.

Of course you can also map controllers with FreePIE. Here's a script for the (Xbox) Guitar Hero X-plorer (the one they sold with GH4) based on the script I posted earlier:

I made a very simple FreePIE [andersmalmgren.github.io] script so you can play original Guitar Hero style: Holding the buttons (6,7,8,9) and hitting the "strum bar" (Backspace).

I recommend holding the keyboard upside down in your chest to play this way (like a guitar ^_^).

Pastebin link to the script:

How-To: (Install and) start FreePIE, copy-paste the script (,maybe save it) and hit F5 to run it.

I made a small program to map the frets from my Wii Guitar, connected via Bluetooth, to the buttons 1-5. To make the feeling real the buttons are only pressed if the strum is activated.

So it's Like if you are playing GH on the Wii.

If you got a WiiMote + Guitar you only need a Bluetooth dongle.

Any my program: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/25826365/Guitar%20Hero%20Wii%20Connector.zip

Guide to make it work (Win 10):
1. Connect WiiMote to PC
1.1. Click the Bluetooth-Icon in taskbar
1.2. Press 1+2 on Wiimote until You see RVL-CNT-01... Connect it
2. Start my little app.

Thx man, nice mod.

They're randomly generated. Since it would be impossible to make a map for every song on audiosurf.
DarkiDarki 2 Jul, 2016 @ 8:01am
I was wondering, do the notes have to do with the song itself or are they just semi-random like regular audiosurf blocks?

Absolutely brilliant mod!

I got around to trying it with a controller. Needs some work there. I'd recommend using a configuration based on the Xbox controller based on the buttons where A= Green, X = Blue, B= Red, etc. Include mapping to the analog the analog sticks and analog sticks for accessibility of multiple notes, and have L1, L2, L3, R1, R2, and R3 (using the PlayStation names for them, they're pretty much L/RB, L/RT, and click the sticks) all serve as the fifth color.

the current solution to both of your problems is to use the default stadium skin. The mod was made to be playable with that skin. (but you can also try other skins, some will work, others won't)
Also I am currently working on a skin just for this gamemode, so when that's complete, you wont have to worry about stuff like this.
DEMACLIO 11 May, 2016 @ 2:16am
Pretty good! Though I have a couple of suggestions:
Sometimes the red colour is hard to see, making it brighter might help (not too much of a problem though)
It's hard to tell whether I hit the note, so adding a small animation or just making the colours disappear after hitting them would help a lot
other than that, a really enjoyable game mode!

How does it work with an actual controller like a Dualshock 3 with the SCP Toolkit or an 360 controller?
