@Whipplesnoodle nope...you still have to add an XML file to it =) I think @Martin2035 was a bit too fast with it, or Maybe he's from near future?:D Your buildings should definitely have RICO compatibility :steamhappy: And rlly like the illumination map - it's a win!

@Martin2035: So are growables automatically compatible then? :P I guess I misunderstood that!

Ok, thanks for the info! I thought maybe you knew of a more exact way to tell what numbers lit up with what intensity
Whipplesnoodle  [autor] 9 MAY 2016 a las 3:58
@creepyeyes: That's really just an arbitrary amount, you could use 5, 20, or even the full range from 128 to 192, or 192 to 255. If a window has it's illumination values within smaller range, it will more often light up as a whole, but you can have more variation (128-138, 135-145, 170-180, whatever you want), with a larger range you will see 'shadows' more pronounced, but you only have two ranges to fit ALL your windows in 128-192 and 192-255).

Wait, why 10 points?

@Yellowfin: Thanks a lot for your feedback, it's very much appreciated! I'll keep the color variation thing in mind!

@creepyeyes: I really wouldn't know :s, sorry.... I just grabbed a random night image, greyscaled it and changed the value range to varying sets of 10 points between 128 and 255.

Hey, out of curiosity, would you happen to know where I can find the guide on how to make detailed windows? I've had a few buildings I wanted to do it for (like the 1x1 office) but I couldn't track down where the guide for it was.

Detailed window lighting? If you're referring to how the stock buildings have their entire panes illuminate, I think the detailed approach looks far nicer and even easier on the eyes. You're not alone in taking the detailed approach as well (some of the "more popular" content creators like Zed and BoldlyBuilding come to mind).

On a different note, many of your buildings look like they came from the Distance/Nitronic Rush universe before being grounded in reality. I love it.

My only request so far would be for your buildings to have at least one possible colour variation where the façade is brighter (akin to your Utopia); Just for the sake of diversity! :chirp:

PS: About RICO... I wouldn't say it's a strict requirement, considering this one fits within the 4x4 limit and all.
SonOfNitrous 7 MAY 2016 a las 13:27
Your buildings should definitely be with RICO =)
