@Pvt. Barry [MM] - Yessir, it works fine with SOG AI.
Pvt. Barry [MM] 29 Jul, 2023 @ 5:26pm
Can you play this with SOG AI?
Arkada 14 May, 2019 @ 10:30am
playing it by myself in a hosted server. and yeah i did like it. although when i played with my friend we ran into a problem where pirates were missing textures
Johnnyboy  [author] 14 May, 2019 @ 7:48am
Besides the problem...did you like the scenario?
Johnnyboy  [author] 14 May, 2019 @ 7:47am
Hey wack. That is strange, maybe a BIS patch broke it. We're you playing SP or MP? I usually host a an MP session when I play solo, then I can choose whether to be East or West side, and respawn to group. To replay in MP, I exit the scenario to MP server menu and re-choose the mission. If you don't exit the scenario to MP menu, then you don't see all the playable units to choose from on next run.
Arkada 13 May, 2019 @ 10:05pm
once you complete a game you can't play anymore
Johnnyboy  [author] 10 Nov, 2018 @ 8:52am
@varus thanks man. Its my go to mission if I just want some good shooting time against AI. The randomized pirate camp locations and randomized evac positions make it very replayable. You should try my latest mission Last Tango in Tanoa 2: Razing Cane. I'd like to hear what you think of it. Its more linear and story driven, but has unique scripting you won't see anywhere else (commandable dog, flying bird hunting, AI melee berserkers, etc.)
varus 9 Nov, 2018 @ 7:56pm
That was a really good mission (5/5). Great firefights, good setup. Thanks for making this.
Johnnyboy  [author] 12 Apr, 2018 @ 8:30am
Its strange to me that this mission has rated zero stars, when my other 2 missions both rated 4 stars. IMO this is the best mission I have created. Unique setting, extremely replayable as objective and exfil locations randomized. Great combination of stealth, action, and running for your life.
Johnnyboy  [author] 5 May, 2017 @ 1:30pm
Apex version of this mission relesased! Please rate and comment here if you play it. And thank Loupvert for the French Localization of the text (briefing, tasks, chat dialogue, etc).
ClaudeJ 2 Apr, 2017 @ 11:54am
Roger that Johnnyboy. It goes without saying that all credits will go to you and links will be duly posted. Looking forward to your new version.
Cheers
Johnnyboy  [author] 2 Apr, 2017 @ 10:32am
Mod variants would be fine. Just give me a little credit, and posting a link on the Arma Forum release thread: https://forums.bistudio.com/forums/topic/190662-coopsppvp-property-of-mabunga/ I need to move on to my next mission, but I keep tweaking this one because I still love playing it.
ClaudeJ 2 Apr, 2017 @ 4:03am
Gorgeous! Keep up the good work Johnnyboy. Thanks a lot for your time.
Would you allow mods dependant variants to be released publicly (or sent to you if that's more convenient) ?
Johnnyboy  [author] 1 Apr, 2017 @ 11:07pm
Thanks LoupVert, appreciate you commenting. I'm close to releasing an Apex update for this mission. Not viper, but will add Apex weapons and vehicles, plus 10 random evac points, so your path to exfil while beilng chased will be different each time.
ClaudeJ 1 Apr, 2017 @ 10:17am
Oh boy! As atmospheric than a movie, so much hand crafted details not to miss that it would deserve a making of mission.
Do you plan a Viper squad version by the way?
Johnnyboy  [author] 23 Feb, 2017 @ 5:59pm
I'm working on an update to this mission now. Added more Evac locations where one is randomly chosen at mission start. So your path to the heli evac is different each time making the chicken run with the hostage more interesting. Also updated to Apex weapons if all players own Apex. I will consider the selectable time and weather option as well. Thanks for the interest.
Solid-State. 17 Feb, 2017 @ 10:51am
JohnyBoy, do you have any plans to do more Somali Pirate type missions ?

Any chance of having selectable weather / time option (general game play looks so awesome in full sunshine)
Johnnyboy  [author] 18 Jan, 2017 @ 6:35am
Glad to hear it Solid-State. Thanks much for taking the time to post! I still play it alot myself.
Solid-State. 18 Jan, 2017 @ 6:33am
Top job JohnnyBoy, love this mission with all the action going on. :steamhappy:
Johnnyboy  [author] 2 Dec, 2016 @ 11:50am
Glad you're enjoying the script. Arma still amazes me how the same scenario can unfold completely differently each time. Barrels add to the fun.
hunne 2 Dec, 2016 @ 10:21am
Hostage? Wooot? CO said "no prisoners"...but I of course did not kill him! Never did in any attempt! ...must´ve been some ricochet... ;) Damn hard mission, but I´ll try doing the snake thingie and get that hostage out for a change....
BUT, I am busy - very busy - blowing up barrels and stuff....barrels-o-fun...thank you so very much for that script, I was lmao watching my painstakingly set up battle unfold...over and over again, well 5-6 times until the engine decides to lag like mad
Johnnyboy  [author] 22 Nov, 2016 @ 4:36pm
Theres a "Rate" with a thumbs up below it below the Description and mission pictures at top of this screen. I would appreciate the thumbs up. I'm bummed this hasn't got enough ratings to merit any stars yet. My Leper Island mission has 4 stars, and I think this one is much better. I think the mission may be harder after Apex release...AI seems smarter. But it looks better after Apex also (especially water reflection). One key to surviving is keeping low so land contour protects you from enemies. I love your "dont kill a goat" advice lol. Pretty sure that was coincidental! As you probably figured out, you need to take down a camp and take a GPS off a corpse (one guy per camp has one). Once you have the GPS, hostage location is pinpointed on the map. That's the upside. Downside is pirates also know where the hostage is at all times...
hunne 22 Nov, 2016 @ 7:29am
yes...found the roasted guy on a stick...now I´m hungry...but that fog is driving me nuts...I really can´t see a damn thing in that soup but the AI does so with ease...most of the time I have zero clue about what the hell is going on...and where^^ first play I was completely solo after about 5 minutes lol...damn hard mission imho...oh btw...don`t kill a goat...I could swear the instant I pulled the trigger I got surrounded :) oh, and how can I rate? I don´t seem to be able to
Johnnyboy  [author] 21 Nov, 2016 @ 5:13pm
@hunne: lol. I hope you enjoyed the BBQ as well.
hunne 19 Nov, 2016 @ 3:41pm
I just subbed for them dancers :)
Johnnyboy  [author] 18 Nov, 2016 @ 2:31pm
@tgp65: Thanks for the feedback man, much appreciated.
tgp65 18 Nov, 2016 @ 12:32pm
Stunning and great scripts...
Johnnyboy  [author] 21 May, 2016 @ 2:53pm
@KevsNoTrev: Thanks for the great feedback Kevs, much appreciated. So glad you enyoyed it. If you play it MP, let me know how it goes.
@DinkyDowREMF: Thanks to you also man. Glad to hear you found replayable.
KevsNoTrev 21 May, 2016 @ 2:11pm
On a boat going through the swamps of Altis. Having people shooting at you where the fog is so thick you cannot see more than a few metres infront of you. Hearing vehicles moving just on the other side of the reeds that, you realise too late, don't stop bullets from ripping you apart.
Such is the atmosphere and feel of this mission.
From the start to the end its an enjoyment to play.

Now its just about time to have a few others join in and play it in multiplayer.

Thanks JohnnyBoy awesome job.
Dinky Dow REMF 19 May, 2016 @ 10:40am
Wow, very cool immersive mission! Never seen zodiacs navigate that swamp before. Played 3 times, and each time Pirate camps were in different locations, so our tactics varied greatly. Love the feeling of being tracked and hunted to the LZ. Love the new wildlife behaviour too! :)
Johnnyboy  [author] 19 May, 2016 @ 7:40am
High praise from the MANW contest winner! Can't ask for much more than that. Thanks dude. There's a few more scripts in the release pipleline...saving best for last!
kylania 19 May, 2016 @ 6:31am
Dudes on sticks, exploding barrels, leaping fish, what's not to love? Learned a lot from the scripts you've been posting too. Thanks and keep up the spectacular work! :NATO: :CSAT:
Johnnyboy  [author] 15 May, 2016 @ 9:43pm
Thanks Zagor and Stagwine, I really appreciate the feedback.
Stagwine 15 May, 2016 @ 3:56pm
Very nice atmospheric mission with lots of details put in! Thank you!
ZAGOR64BZ 13 May, 2016 @ 4:39pm
Great ambiance...really immersive. The foggy swamp, sounds, custom uniforms and those "human Flags" (just not to spoil much) really does for me. Great, GREAT work mate!!!
Undeceived 13 May, 2016 @ 12:25am
Ah ok, that's what I wanted to ask, how to ply as NATO. It's quite obvious now. 😃

I like the different approach of both sides - CSAT with high numbers and "rumbling" in, NATO with a single SF team and silenced weapons.
The foggy environment should balance that out, even though a test with many players would be needed to be sure, IMO.
Johnnyboy  [author] 12 May, 2016 @ 5:10pm
Thanks Evil Organ. Note you can play the NATO side SP also, if you download it as Multiplayer, and then start your own LAN server and choose the squad leader of the NATO team. It's a different experience as you enter the swamp from a different direction, and your evac LZ is a hilltop. Defending that hilltop can get interesting...
EO 12 May, 2016 @ 3:02pm
Great setting, fantastic ambience, had a couple of go's at SP.....now I really want to playthrough with some friends. Highly recommended.
Johnnyboy  [author] 12 May, 2016 @ 8:28am
Thanks Bardosy and Undeceived! I greatly appreciate your feedback.

Anybody else played it yet? Please post a comment and rate. Thanks!
bardosy[HUN] 12 May, 2016 @ 7:58am
Excellent feeling of gameplay! The foggy swamp is a fantastic scene of this great mission.
Undeceived 10 May, 2016 @ 2:34pm
Great mission, rock solid scripts and a mass of details and replayability.

It was a great SP session, but I really recommend it to PvP groups to try it out!

Great job, johnnyboy. Thanks.
