That being said i might ask you for helping me out with some emblems because i dont have photo shop :D
@ᵏʰᵒʳₙᵉ Shits'N'Giggles You have my blessings to do/edit my mod as you see fit. In fact, I'm open to help you if you need it. Image editing and stuff. I never had proper feedback, I just did it. And as long as it's just image editing or adding new ones, it's easy for me to make them in bulk every now and then in my spare time. I kept most of the files and still use photosop regularly so... It'd be up to you.
So, that's kinda brute-force your way around. The mod tools in the launcher are there for that reason While a great tool it requires me to, afaik, redownload the whole game. And while I should do it and give stellaris another go now with the updates and DLCs and stuff... RL lazyness is an issue and I don't wanna (or should) "dump" 10+ hours in Stellaris... Maybe during the christmas break I'll come around to it and release an update. Sorry guys...
If I remember correctly the process to manually update a mod you have downloaded is find the mod unique number and edit either the .mod (which can be a compressed file or a plain .txt file with a .mod extension) or .txt descriptor file to support whatever version is the current one and repack it/save it.That, you are NOT supposed to do manually, as the compressed files are in a specific format that, while it can be worked with using 7zip or winrar easily, requires you to check some extra thingys.And all that could cause a checksum warning in the steam workshop, or within the game proper. I'm not sure, but the steam app may just automatically re-download the mod with the files currently in the workshop servers or just copy the files in the steamapp folders.
