Just thought i would let you know, if you get the event that gets you the monolith and you can either archive it for research points or show it off to your people, some of them gain the xenophile ethic, this adition removes all your traits, except for random traits that add up to what the game allows.

Is there anyway to give these traits to your Surpreme Leader like you give them to your regular ones and the ones that you already start the game with?

@Loli This still doesn't seem to work. Even scientists I have replaced die in their 70s-80s.
skelemane 14 May, 2016 @ 8:39am
Can you make a mod where it gives unlimited gene points.
The Gunslinger 13 May, 2016 @ 8:59pm
ohhhhhh Ok thx
Dick Stealing Weasel 13 May, 2016 @ 6:15pm
@Hairy_Charlie @The_Gunslinger It adds the traits to newly created pops. The reason those scientists are dying is becasue they aren't affected by it as they were created at the start of the game. If you replace those scientists with new recruits the recruits will have the traits.

The mod is working.

@ The Gunslimger, I also noticed this in my game... scientists die around 85 ish...
The Gunslinger 13 May, 2016 @ 5:09pm
Well, the trait that gives +120 life span does not work. My govs and scientists die at about 80 ish.

Works great even with other mods that add traits! Great Job!
Mal 13 May, 2016 @ 3:51pm
But then again when i mouse over my population on a planet i can see the traits and the bonuses. Hmm...
Mal 13 May, 2016 @ 3:36pm
You sure this one works? It pops up fine but under pop effect its 0% all the way around.

It works cool, until you notice you have -30 gene points :steammocking:
TookYoCookies 13 May, 2016 @ 4:42am
Yeah i enabled the mod, started game and nothing happened
Mattie Rethyu 13 May, 2016 @ 3:46am
Does this mod allow you to choose traits added by mods or only vanilla ones?
crysis 13 May, 2016 @ 2:48am
took have you enable the mod ?
Dick Stealing Weasel 12 May, 2016 @ 6:21pm
Any plans for an ethics version with the same event based system?
{RISE}Nuke 12 May, 2016 @ 6:10pm
Thanks for this, it's a great mod!
Ferkolepu 12 May, 2016 @ 4:52pm
Can you post a direct download link?

Did that as well, medium galaxy, used console to make contact + comms with every empire, most of them still had the traits that I'd given a negative cost + "is_ai = no". It might make them less likely to use it but they do still seem to use it.
Houjuu Byakuren 12 May, 2016 @ 4:32pm
All I can say, is that the trait with a negative trait cost & the "is_ai = no" argument works for me, just tested it in a tiny galaxy by meeting the empires & checking their species.
Machi  [author] 12 May, 2016 @ 4:22pm
I've tested it again with the original mod but it seems like the AI is still able to use the traits I've put "is_ai = no" into
Houjuu Byakuren 12 May, 2016 @ 4:17pm
I think it was selectible with "is_ai = yes", because it didn't exclude anything, just allowed something.
Machi  [author] 12 May, 2016 @ 4:09pm
I tried doing that before any of the other problems arose, using "is_ai = yes" to test if the trait would show up for any human player, it still did and I could still select it for my empire, so I just assumed "is_ai = no" wouldn't work either in the trait files
Houjuu Byakuren 12 May, 2016 @ 4:04pm
You can use the argument "is_ai = no" to make it unselectable for the AI, even mentioned on the wiki page for modding stellaris. o:
Machi  [author] 12 May, 2016 @ 4:02pm
I've looked for a way to do so but couldn't find any, if you have one I'd love to hear it!
Houjuu Byakuren 12 May, 2016 @ 3:59pm
Why would you go to so much trouble making all these events, when you can just make a trait, that's not choosable by the AI? o:
