Mission Improbable Mod Support

How are you installing Mission Improbable? All mod supported mods should be installed standard where you do not place any assets in Synergy . The support files need to be moved over from workshop to Synergy, but the mods themselves should be separate in their normal directories.
The only other times that I have seen that error is if you don't have Half-Life 2 installed, or have mods that may have corrupted it such as copying files that should not be in Synergy.

It's not working for me. I get a white screen and some music playing. Then it just crashes. I have both HL 2 and Episode 2 installed. I got it from moddb. Yes, I also tried with the patch.

Alright, thanks!
Balim  [author] 19 Jan, 2019 @ 12:33pm
It should work from any site, so long as the directory structure is the same:
Steam\steamapps\sourcemods\missionimprobable
If the maps are much different, the edits may not work as well, but for the most part it should work with any version. You just have to make sure who ever you are playing with has the same version.
Cheezbrgr 19 Jan, 2019 @ 12:16pm
Does this work for any site, or do you have to download it from the specific site?

Half-Life: Source support is in the official next update for Synergy.
Elly 31 Jan, 2017 @ 1:38pm
It's fixed. Thanks!
Balim  [author] 29 Jan, 2017 @ 6:31pm
Odd, well see if it works now with the update.
Elly 29 Jan, 2017 @ 6:29pm
I downloaded it from RTSL.
Balim  [author] 29 Jan, 2017 @ 6:25pm
Where did you download it from? I haven't run into this problem, and I just tested it. I updated the content loader .dat file for any potential problems with that.

When I get to the wheelchair guy, he just stays there and doesn't move or talk, so I can't progress any further.

I know that this is a bit later on, but what does your file-tree look like? It should be something along the lines of: Steam\steamapps\common\Synergy\synergy\custom\683512034\683512034_pak.vpk If the vpk is directly in the custom folder, it won't work, it must be in the sub-directory.
Balim  [author] 12 Aug, 2016 @ 9:22pm
In the main menu, open your console and scroll way up, you should see a section of green and brownish text saying something along the lines of [CL] or [SV] ContentLoader Found Sourcemod: . If it says Mission Improbable in there, then the workshop addon is working. If it says that the sourcemod wasn't found, then the addon is still working, but you have to install Mission Improbable by the download link.

Egor’s messages are gibberish, I think he’s just mashing random keys on the keyboard.

Thanks, that command is super useful. I’m getting extra 100 fps in some places. The mod is very playable now. The downside is that you can’t see the grass, but oh well.

Garry's Mod has alot of optimizations in its rendering and game engine, Synergy has some, but not alot. Unfortunately this means that it will require a higher-end computer to run some of these mods at a decent frame rate. Mission Improbable is one of the mods that definately has higher-end graphics which will make it harder to run.
I have tried a few methods of making it more optimized in the maps, but the only thing that seems to help is the console command:
r_drawdetailprops 0
That seems to give me a 30 ish fps boost which might be enough. Just remember to turn it back on for other mods/games in Synergy.

For some reason I’m getting really bad performance when playing this mod in Synergy: around 25–30 fps in the very first scene with the boat (i5 2500/HD6950). It’s the same with Mod Support from Workshop and the mimp.dat file I made previously. But surprisingly the performance is much better when I’m launching the mod in Garry’s Mod with co-op game mode (≈70 fps in the same scene). Single player is also fine. Has anyone else got this problem? We’d play it in Garry’s Mod, but it’s a bit too buggy: checkpoints won’t work, elevators get stuck etc.

P.S. Thank you for adding support for all these cool mods.

Meatwad has support for Nightmare House 1 and said they were going to make support for Nightmare House 2, but that was back in the beginning of 2015, I can try to contact them and see if they are still doing that.
axiomjejune 14 May, 2016 @ 7:44am
See if you can make nightmare house 2 mod support
