can you pelase add this to the description
@Peter - no, but the psionic squadrons should be renamed biotic squadrons if everything worked correctly.
Or just do a hard edit on the race file.
Looks good! Might want to add a bit more phenotype variety though (ie. colors).
Is there some kind of special guide or something you're using to make your mods? I'm interested in making a mod of my own but I'm totally new to this. Maybe you can recommend something?
Since I don't know much about modding I just checked how other single-gender-species name lists coded that section. I have no idea what caused the strange name bug but the new setup fixed the problem. Now all the characters have their name displayed properly.
Could you please elaborate on your second fix? I hope author wont mind you sharing solution ^_^
There are 2 issues I fixed:
1. The issue TeRRaZLO pointed out here in the comments section about the portrait in the race creation menu not displaying properly (there was only an empty square).
2. There is an issue that some characters have no name while others do (blank space). So I cleaned up the character section in the name list.
If the mod creator doesn't want me to upload this then I won't of course. :)
1. Go to Documents\Paradox Interactive\Stellaris\workshop\content\281990\683742371 (not sure if the numbers are always the same, just find the mod file in the content folder) and make a backup of the asariRepublics mod rar
2. Open launcher
3. Click on "Mods" tab, then "Mod tools" on the top right, then "Create Mod"
4. Name the mod as you see fit (for example AsariRepublics) pick a tag, then click on "Create Mod"
5. Go to Documents\Paradox Interactive\Stellaris\mod\AsariRepublics (or whatever you named the mod in the "Mod tools")
6. Extract the rar (asariRepublics) in that folder
7. Enable mod in launcher
8. Enjoy this awesome mod
in file Common\species_classes\01_asari.txt it should be portraits = { "asari_portraits" }, instead of just "asari", as it is specified in gfx\portraits\portraits\asari_portraits.txt
That way, it will show the correct portrait in race creation menu, instead of empty square.
Great mod anyways. Waiting for the updates :)
